So who is your current Chelsea player of the Season at the midway point?

Mine is between Thiago Silva and Jorginho.

Thiago Silva has been pretty much faultless all season and continues to show why he is one of the best CB's of his generation. Brilliant player.

Jorginho is right up there too. A few weeks back when he made a few errors against United and West Ham, I thought we were going back to the Jorginho that would start to struggle again, but so far, they have proven to just be blips. I think he has shown great character with the way he has held the midfield together through injury whilst everybody around him is dropping like flies. It's becoming more and more noticeable when he doesn't play these days.

James, Mendy and Chilwell would have been on my list, but James and Mendy's form have dropped off considerably and Chilwell has unfortunately picked up a season ending injury.

It has to be one of our defenders for me.

James, Rudi and Chilwell have been very solid, such a pity about Ben’s injury. Top of the pile is Silva, it’s a dream watching him and how he manages the space around him and he must be a dream to play with.

Silva for me as well. If he hadn't missed so many games then Kante would have been the only other option as far as I'm concerned.

When you hear the line up those are the two names I want to see first and foremost as they are the ones we miss the most when they are out.

Many good shouts, for balance I'm voting Mendy. He has had a couple of wobbles lately, but his saves have brought us points we didn't get with Kepa when he was our main goalkeeper.

Good shout as well Val, should have included him in my standout players so far.

It has to be one of the back five (or the wing-backs). Mendy, Rüdiger, Silva and James have all been exceptional; any of those four would be a completely justifiable choice.

Ultimately I went for Mendy. He has been world-class all year, and even the narrative that he's had a couple of dodgy performance is both overstated and in a couple of cases incorrect.

Jorginho and it's not even close. Replacing him when the time comes is going to be a bitch.

The thing is Argo not to obsess on replacing like for like.

Silva for me, though Kante's level of performance whenever he has played has been stellar.

Before Mendy had a slump he was looking like the most stable keeper in the league. Also Chilwell before injury was really a huge impact player. Mount started slow but picked up with goals. Jorginho has been vital and even played through injury so he had some ups and downs, T.Silva stable as always but when absent Christensen does the job.

Sadly a lot of players have been missing but hopefully Lukaku keeps going strong now that he's back, if he keeps scoring in the next month he'll climb that ladder fast.

Mine was Reece until he went off the boil the last few games - if he gets back up to the level he was at and stays there he’s easily my POTS.

I’ll give Rudi the vote for now as he’s been a beast all season and everyone seems to have given up on him.

Agree with the general consensus of Silva or Jorginho. When neither play we have 0 control of possession. Reece has had a good season so far, dropping off slightly more recently. Callum has improved a lot or is returning to the form we know he can produce.

Mendy and Kante solid as always. I've gone with Jorginho for my vote purely because he did the business last season when called upon and scored penalties when we've needed him too, this year is no different. To have a chelsea player in the top 3 of the ballon d'or again is a nice feeling since its been a while.
