I'm not sure about Bosingwa. He's a great attacker for us and a good asset, but as many have said, against weaker sides. He has yet to perform vs. the Big Teams. Also, what annoys me is that he always thinks he can dribble out of our own box and he gets tackled 3/4 of the time! With Drogba back, a simple boot upfield will do, surely! Teehee. That made me laugh :P

Deco and Ballack are both great players but are too far past 30 for my liking. Joey isn't a winger and to put him in that role behind the strikers and let him drift left and right while Bosingwa and A.Cole will be our makeshift wingers. And I'm sure the midfield of Mikel, Lampard and Essien is better than a Mikel, Lampard, Deco or Ballack, don't you agree?

I found watching Cluj last night that as soon Drogba came on, Anelka was all over the pitch! Sometimes back in midfield, out on the wing or up front. It doesn't really matter where LFS puts him, he'll always drift. Put it on the wing and give a chance to roam and leave Bosingwa to bomb on ahead possibly? But the question is, is Anelka clever enough to realise that Bosingwa will be making runs and he needs to get out of his way? Hmm...

Good arguement. After that, there's only one problem. Would he like to be a squad player rather than a first-teamer? Unfortunately, I don't think so.

Fair point indeed. Yes, he's a good striker. But what if these better players are just too good for him, if you get my meaning. He's adapted to players like Sidwell (!) playing him in, but Sidwell is no Lampard, Ballack, Essien, Deco or Mikel is he?

Kevin Doyle has too many injuries for my liking. And anyway, he's a player that's proved himself in the Premiership, but for a lesser club. He'd be great for someone like Fulham or Wet Spam, but not us. I wouldn't've minded us get Pavlyuchenko last summer, but Tottenham got him. ¬¬

I have reason to believe Cluj will go for this one cause they have that chance of qualifying on the basis of scoring more goals than Bordeaux and that Bordeaux lose and they beat us. But it's just not going to happen, unfortunately. But, anyway. We really have to go 110% full throttle for the whole 9 yards. Ballack and Deco need to work together and lead Mikel to a winning midfield battle and Anelka or whoever steps up needs to be at their best. Anything less, and we're out. COME ON CHELSEA!!

Yes he's brought loads of young talent, but none have broken into the first team as yet. Pretty dissapointing really. Still, on the plus side, he brought in Stoch! ;)

At the moment, I'd say it's a toss up between Mikel and Lampard as Mikel is our midfield rock and Lamps is just the best. With everyone fit, it's Essien. The most versatile player in the world probably and just outstanding!
