cfr95 got a reaction from Backbiter in Trevoh ChalobahBig fan of Trev. We've served him some sh*t hands in recent years and he's never complained, always acted professionally. I'd be sad to see him go, but if he leaves I hope he has every success.

cfr95 reacted to dermott in Marco PalestraCasadei was a CM and playmaker who couldn't make the step up from under age. A shame. A season on loan at Leicester under Maresca did him no favours. Anyway, altogether different from a FB. Wait a season or two? End up bemoaning we didn't act sooner.

At least we can unanimously agree Maresca sabotaged our season now and he can officially go down as one of the most dislikable managers in our recent history.

Not going to the final on Saturday. I've been to every final at Wembley and those in Cardiff since the Full Members Cup Final in 1986. That's a few finals. To be honest I'm not fussed about missing the game. I'm a miserable old bastard. One of my friends is using my ST so he can go with his son. Will watch the match down the pub.

cfr95 reacted to Sconnie Blue in Next Coach?“Lampard at 23 was a man. Players at 23 now, are brats.”

cfr95 reacted to Sconnie Blue in Next Coach? His time at Real left the club with a 70% win percentage and a locker room where Mbappe and Bellingham thought they were above pressing and tactics. I don't even have hope for Mourinho to do well there anymore.
If Alonso is genuinely interested I think it would be a gargantuan risk to just 'wait until after the world cup' for other managers where nothing is guaranteed. More than likely will start the season with just our dicks in our hand.
-
cfr95 reacted to WhiteWall in Next Coach? But Mourinho wasn't Mourinho level when we appointed him. In fact he arguably wasn’t Alonso level when we appointed him. He had massive potential and was managed from above very well. Not sure that is possible here.
But I think the importance of having a manager with an elite playing career behind them when having a young squad shouldn't be underestimated. The top level experience and success as players that Potter, Poch, Maresca and Rosenior have had in their entire careers combined wouldn't match one decent season that Alonso had.
I remember the effect that Hoddle had on our dressing room. Same with Gullitt and Viailli. Ultimately players know players. Alonso gets the players attention immediately if we appoint him, imo.

cfr95 reacted to Frankie8Lampard in Next Coach?Tbf he’s more experienced than any manager we’ve appointed under this new ownership other than Poch, even though he isn’t Mourinho level experienced

cfr95 reacted to Sconnie Blue in Jackson transferYou've begged for Nkunku to start over him all of last season when it was clear to everyone but yourself he wasn't better than Jackson. He's now proving as much at Milan.
Fairly certain you did the same thing with Broja. He now looks not even Championship level.
You now want Emegha to come in over Jackson, who looks absolutely f**king sh*t.
You are now adamantly saying Gyokeres and Sesko, two players who have worse performance metrics and G/A than Jackson over the course of his two seasons in the Premier League, "are significantly better footballers than Jackson and its not even close".
The lengths you go with your Jackson agenda is amusing to watch given you are proven wrong time and time again.

cfr95 reacted to TheCeleryKing in Jackson transferNico always had some ability, the issue was (if i can remember) that his reading of the game was "off". He was always offside. He would also get yellow cards for arguing with the ref. He wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and he was inexperienced in reading the game. But he was robust, strong, fast and according to his record he did actually score goals (24 in 65). He has had limited game time in Germany, but he has a league title and again he has scored goals (7 goals in 20 games or something). As a backup striker. He is certainly a better option than Liam and Marc. He is on his way back, the Germanz don't want him, the SD's are retarded and we are not getting 60 million quid for him. So maybe we use him in the squad as back up striker?

cfr95 reacted to SydneyChelsea in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCKing Power's funding is not the worst issue, it's that Vichai's son (Top) is neither as competent nor as interested in running the club as his father was. As a result, he allowed himself to be influenced by incompetents and sycophants like Jon Rudkin and external agents, who exploited him to advance their interests and agendas and profits.
Thankfully, Eghbali would never allow something like that to happen at Chelsea. Imagine if he had hired a panel of inexperienced hucksters instead of a competent, experienced individual.
I think people have forgotten about Leeds and how that unravelled. O'Leary and Ridsdale overspent borrowed money on huge transfer fees for promising but not yet established young talents, in the hope it would make for sustainable Champions League football/top 4. Thankfully, no one would try that model again 22 years later.

cfr95 reacted to Vialli96 in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCIt’s hard to see why any established, self respecting top manager would want to take the Chelsea job. No clear long term structure, no authority to implement your ideas, a poorly assembled inexperienced squad in need of upheaval, too much interference from those up top when it comes to transfers, substitutions, tactics, team talks, half time and full time dressing room visits etc. Having to operate in these conditions and environment and the risk of permanently damaging your reputation and future employment prospects is just not worth it.
As a Chelsea fan I would advise all prospective managers to stay away under the current ownership.
I also see breaches in financial fair play and regulation coming up due to reckless spending, extortionate prices paid for young players with no resale value, no European football and failure to secure sponsorship.
Here’s an idea, Eghbali, Boehly and the SP’s should be in the dugout when Chelsea are fighting relegation, because that is our current trajectory, and should be in the dugout when Chelsea do get relegated.
