So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
If its not the players it's the manager. Big result, players played until the death, the second half performance warranted the points. biggest difference between the first and second half were balls being played through the channels by centre half's into midfield as opposed to going for the wing. Is Poch working out his best 11, yes within reason given the injuries. What do wins give teams? Confidence. Is this teams starting to look more resilient, confident in what its doing? Yes. A few more wins and we'll be pushing for a europa spot, which I'd take happily. Keep that blue flag flying high folks. the oil tanker is slowly turning.

Conor Gallagher
By the way, if you're reading Connor Gallagher, Cheers for the tenner last night - 2 sovs on him to score any time. Was even more delighted with the 15:1 on 3:1 I placed.... Happy days, happy fan, that was a massive 3 points by the way.

Conor Gallagher
Perhaps he could play as a striker/forward? I thought that was the position we signed him to play in? Lord knows Jackson could do with sharing the burden of fans expectations upfront.

Conor Gallagher
Man of the match, wins things high up the pitch, always an outlet, Turns out he remembers how to score too... but he's crap. Cool... Some folk on here really need to go out for a walk, give your heads a wobble, take some deep breaths. 3 goals in a week, two of which win CFC 3 points and many are all out complaining that he isn't good enough and is just a willing runner. Really wonder why some bother to be fans at all.

He aint no Ivanovic at right back but looks a unit in central defence.

Poch In or Out? The Mega-thread Merged
Forgive my eternal optimistic street. The biggest difference was the players showing up and giving a crap. Perhaps about their reputations, perhaps playing for moves away, who knows, but the intensity was spot on and the players need to keep it up. The onus is on the players to keep giving all and playing for each other. let's see if it continues this weekend.

Enzo Fernandez - not wanted in England, the Falklands or probably Argentina now
Played like a World Cup winner last night. Hope he maintains that and he'll convince me he's a legend in the making. That free kick was a worldie.

Poch In or Out? The Mega-thread Merged
Just give Poch until the end of his contract. Beggars belief people want him gone. Did you all watch last night's game? We hit that consistency and intensity most games between now and end of season we'll be pushing top five/ six. We just have to beat the dross around us.

Misses said sorry.. all forgiven with me. We looked good tonight.

Cole Palmer signs for Chelsea!
He has been such a breath of fresh air, just love it. Let's see where he is come the end of season but as first full seasons go, I think he's been outstanding so far, hope he keeps it going. Hazard was already producing miracles in France for a few seasons before singing for us, if we can hang onto him, reckon he'll turn some Hazard esq numbers. He's just going to get better and better with more confidence. Just wonder if he could be Poch's next Kane... it's a stretch given how good Kane is but him, Gordon and Kane as a front three if Saka gets an injury? (I rate Saka highly)

Fair enough, but what good does silva going public do? How does it help? We change managers and then what? what happens when the same group of players dont perform for the 5th manager in two seasons, what happens then? we keep the same players and keep changing managers? What part of the merrygoround do you currently find acceptable? You are totally ignoring the fact that we dont have players like Terry at the club anymore, we are no longer owned by roman, we have new ownership who have spent more than a billion on players, will do it there way and that players are not in power or control. They play for the club and dont own or run it. Can many of those players hand on heart say they've given all like Lamps or Terry in our past?

We won't know who can step up, or if they can, until we see ten games with a new centre back pairing. Rather that happen this season than the start of next. League position right now is absolutely irrelevant to the rebuild as it was for Arsenal under Arteta for two seasons.

I thought the club was trying to, rightly, move away from players having too much power. I thought fans wanted to see the back of it too since those heady days. I really hoped we'd see the last of it tbh. Plus, if you hadn't noticed, we're not the same club anymore and we've not challenged for the league title since since Conte... so how is this relevant to today's side? Im sure Terry and Lampard would deny they got players sacked.

Are we really performing well defensively with Silva in the side? We have the 13th best defence. Everton who are in the bottom 3 have the 5th best defence but cannot score goals. Only six teams have conceded more goals than Chelsea. (granted the last two games have distorted the picture but we have conceded 39 goals from 23 games. Not great.

Poch In or Out? The Mega-thread Merged
Oh jeez... Only manager I would replace poch with is the Luton town guy Rob Edwards who I think is on an upward trajectory or go for Steve Holland after the euros. the rest are simply names trading on previous glory or are no better than what we currently have. Given our struggles, we're only 4 points off our parent club Brighton.

Sadly Doesnt make it great for the club to handle the fall out, the fallout can be really messy to clean up and let us not forget, impact on club value etc... A disgruntled player invariably paves a way for his own exit because theyre not all pulling in the same direction. That's my biggest concern, we're playing a 40 year old who doesnt believe in the club/formation/direction it's all going. When you're not committed, we see half arsed performances and that's where I am. He's been a great character to have at the club, the fans love him, he's been good. But Father Time has caught up and he cant influence games anymore. Thing is, we can all see it, we all know about it, so what good is it for a player to come out and say it. It's like putting the boot in onto a lifeless body. Except on this occasion it's his partner. So he isn't even fronting up his opinions and let his misses do it. Sadly us fans dont own Chelsea and as such we dont actually get any transparency, only members of the board and shareholders will get that. Did we know what was going on at the club when Roman was in charge? I'd say no mate. we just respected certain figures. Silva will be welcome back any time to the club. Will remember him fondly, but our biggest problem this season is unity. We dont look like a unit and team spirit looks hard to come by. We need to build a team around a player (Cold Palmer) who is as promising as Eden Hazard was when he arrived with us and is tearing up the league. What a revelation and well done CFC for landing him. we need a couple more of the youngsters to start turning up. Massive fan of Gusto and should be starting ever game until James is fit. We have found a really capable young GK in Petrovic, we have a duracel bunny in England and our midfield called CG and I actually like the look of Mudryk and Madueke. We have the best manager for our profit right now and the way we can control certain games is actually an impressive way of going about it. We just conceded silly goals.

You missed his interview in Portuguese last season when he was very critical and looked like a player who wanted out? So appointing Poch was the strategy, we're only six months into it and his partner comes out on social media. Great player but we've declined with him, two massive errors in last two games leading to conceding goals. Massive difference between Silva and Gallagher is the fact Gallagher hasn't come out and slagged the club and management off either directly or through a partner. Pretty much an unwritten rule in all sports is that you keep stuff in the dressing room. behind doors. bust ups on the training ground remain behind locked doors. Who wanted Benitez at the club?? Brought in to get Nando firing- that was a middle finger from roman to the fans and we still won under the fat waiter.

It doesnt matter. She goes to the shops, lives a gilded existence that if isn't Brough and paid for by her own success is funded by her husbands. Who plays for Chelsea. It doesnt matter who its directed at or not. It isn't her business to break rank of the dressing room in the same way it wasn't Tammy's girlfriend. If the player was unhappy last summer, he had the perfect opportunity to leave. He chose to stay... We know what he's thinking because his partner has said it and shouldn't.
-
Welcome To Chelsea Thiago Silva *Official*
Fair play, we've paid for it, but really, twice he or his whatever have been critical of the club. I dont know why he stuck around last summer. He isn't bigger than the club, the fans, the dressing room or the owners. Just shooting off because what?

People who moan in groups bring the rest down. Ship him out/ terminate his contract. CFC being proper Sh*t doesnt give a player who isn't the captain any right to disrespect the club. Winds me right up.

whatever, disrespectful to turn and have your family turn on your employers, not once but twice inside of six months? Bet you wanted to see the back of Tammy after his misses spoke up. What's the difference?

And pointless building anything around a player leaving in the summer. Cheers for the effort, pack your bags and sod off. Really....

Whatever, past it, girlfriend running her mouth off about the club, Silva did it last season. F**k him.
