  1. Let's put this notion to bed. YOU CANT BE OUR BEST DEFENDER IF YOU CAN ONLY PLAY IN ONE POSITION OR FORMATION. That means it limits how we can play as a team and that you are slowing the team down. Couple that with regular media outbursts and I simply want the club to terminate his contract and we can all wish him well.
  2. When Tammy's misses went public everyone went nuts.... Love Silva's attitude but it's been painful watching him decline and not know when to retire. the fact he cant play in a four says his race is run, has been since the second season with us. We shouldn't be considered a retirement home, I thought it was massively off last season when he went public, should have just kept his wife muzzled. Any other players come out in the past and said this sh*t cause im struggling to remember and why would they stay after being critical When either you or your family criticise your employers, who sponsor your visa and home and pay you millions a month, its time to f**k OFF.
  3. I remember the pre Roman days and no success so im not really that bothered about the current predicament - football is cyclical, we had twenty fantastic years and they'l come back around or won't. Not going to lose any sleep over it. I dont know, a team not in a relegation battle or not flirting with one is an improvement on last season, we may well yet finish with more points than last season and a team of youngsters thrown together in under 18 months and managed by the current manager for less than 8. We have signed some good players, Palmer the new Hazard for me and we just need to start building around the positives little shoots that have emerged. but I think my views are wasted here as most simply want immediate success, to be competing with City, and challenging for trophies because its what some of our fan base only know. Wasted enough time on here already this week so enjoy rolling around in self aggregating misery.
  4. How is a scrum master/ or agile project translated into sport, specifically football? these work in corporate, but do they translate for sport? How can you implement plans when all your senior players get injured? pointing a new manager will simple reset the club again, put it back six months again... were no longer the club we were under roman, change your optics
  5. While you lot all bitch and moan... Our big game player Cole Palmer is actually producing better numbers in his first season for us than one Eden Hazard.... Impressive. Enjoy him while he lasts with us. Top, top player.
  6. This guy would keep a fully fit chilly out the side would he? didnt want to be number two so has gone to Germany. good luck to him
  7. YOU CANT DO A LONG TERM BUILD AND HAVE SHORT TERM EXPECTATIONS
  8. Will leave this here: YOU CANT DO A LONG TERM BUILD AND HAVE SHORT TERM EXPECTATIONS
  9. You're a f**K sarri ball fan aren't you. 😉 The 9 teams you suggest mate bar Liverpool and city play that tippy tappy football you detest. the two mentioned have the ability to play slow and fast, but if you cant play slow you cant play fast. City and Liverpools squads are fitter than ours. that's on Poch. But my point is the game has moved away from the conte/ Tuchel style of play. pep guardiola has set new standards. It took 3 years for Arsenal to become an outside contender. Would you want Arteta as manager for us? Liverpool, for all the money and Jurgen can't keep up with city. one title and has relied on our reject Salah for years. Liverpool will fold next season like we have. Should we go for clop who has said he's exhausted? Would you like to see Liverpools football at the bridge? Aston Villa only have plan A and no plan B, they play pressing football, I doubt you'd want Emre as manager at Chelsea. Brighton cannot defend under Dezerbi and are three points off us. Manchester United have been waiting for Martinez to return from injury and look to have turned a corner on the weekend. Funny what happens when you have a fully fit squad... Eddie Howe is into his second season as Newcastle manager, over-performed last season - underperforming this season, has had injuries as bad as us and are 2 points ahead of us. Would you want Eddie to replace Poch? Only Spurs are much changed. they'll struggle for top four. We chose Poch over Ange and I guarantee Chelsea fans would be fuming over the kamikaze style football he plays and would bemoan the defenders. Some have called for Dyche to manage us, I cant even entertain this as a thought because it's looking ridiculous to read on here. Anyonewants dacha, I'll say lets get allerdyce, even without a 10 point deduction we'd be above his side. YOU CANT DO A LONG TERM BUILD AND HAVE SHORT TERM EXPECTATIONS... So who would you want to take over from Poch? Only manager I would be interested in is Luton Town's Rob Edwards. Seems like a guinely knowledgable football manager. However, probably not a name so fans would get on his back as being clueless after 5 games. So let me just reiterate my point, YOU CANT DO A LONG TERM BUILD AND HAVE SHORT TERM EXPECTATIONS The start of the season, just six months ago, Poch was wanted, most were happy he was appointed and most were giving him a couple of seasons in line with his contract. Now it's time to turn on him. What's it to be? Short term solutions to get this team playing well and a new manager every six months, or do Chelsea fans now have to be patient like we were pre Roman days and just enjoy the games and clubs individually and on merit? It is frustrating to watch this guy at times, but I suspect he'll come good. It's not him im really worried about, it's the defence. When we have all fully fit, im sure we'll push up the table, like united have.
  10. Do players not have to take responsibility in any of this? What if the players we've signed just aren't up to the job? That's what Im starting to believe.
  11. Enzo has been with us a year... I wouldn't call him a flop or a spectacular success... I am expecting far more from him as a World Cup winner.
  12. Or how about Poch is frustrated that after six months of telling the player the same instructions, he is still making the same mistakes. His miss against Liverpool will live long in my memory - Poch isn't to blame for players failing to take responsibility.
  13. Trouble is both Fabregas and Modric were far more influential and creative at Enzo's age. I said it at the start of the season, I dont see much difference between him and Lucas Torreira. Really similar players. Im not saying he can't improve but we've seen a drop off in form and I'd go so far as to say we're better without him in the side. I really think we need to move him on in the summer if he doesnt improve his performances.
  14. 1. 4 managers in two seasons. Where was the patience for Potter? zero, including myself after that Southampton game. team relegated... Poch has been at the club six months and unless you're the special one in your first season, it takes time to bed in a side and get things moving the way you want. Regardless of whether I like poch or not. I want him to see out his contract, if not just to sort this side out and add stability. Plus, im not sure who else out there will fit our profile. 2. Injuries have been cruel to us. however Lets suppose really good players, intelligent players can work out what the strengths and weaknesses of each others games are and develop a system on the pitch between themselves. A manager can't be expected to get players to gel on a pitch, they have to do that. If theyre being asked to jobs that theyre not supposed to then I would understand criticism of the managers tactics but im not sure why two midfielders are not locking down the opposition. 3. Investors dont care... they only look at what they will earn from it. The mens game is worth billions, when the women's game is incentivised like the mens and starts pulling in mega money, the club will be profitable by just being in the leagues and raking in TV monies from both sides. Investors of the Train network dont care about punctuality, Water bosses dont care about water leakages or dumping sewage in rivers, Plane companies dont care about emissions... they care about dividend payouts. 4. Who were you a manager of in the EPL? Yeah, reckon the Liverpool Side that did us will be the same in the final and do us there, but who knows, Tuchel wasn't supposed to win the big one and did.
  15. Chelsea FC Groundhog Day. After hiring just about every manager possible under Roman, Chelsea have actually increased their manager turnover under their new owners. four managers in two seasons. Players have been signed over a 18 month window - the current manager has overseen one of those and faces a battle to keep one of the players he wants in his starting side. the recruitment has been nothing short of diabolical, players signed for tens of millions more than their value, players signed for no other reason then signing players. Im delighted we've not bought anyone this January. Fans, who talk up a great game of patience and a squad in development and transition, upon appointing a development manager, literally dont have the patience to give a manager one entire season before the knives are out for. It usually takes a few dodgy results and polls appear online asking if the current manager should be sacked. Folks, poch needs to be here for the duration of his contract. we won't look this bad next year and despite some pretty poor results, we're doing ok. Poch may even get a couple of signings he actually wants. Welcome to the post success hangover... Look at united, the same will happen to Liverpool after Klopp, and city when Pep goes. Transition is painful, but without it, the success and joy wouldn't be as fun. We just have to take different joy from the games now as opposed to the winning machine we used to be. For me, I just want the players to give all and leave it all on the pitch. to show they care and are trying. This is essentially a youth team, everyone needs to significantly lower the bar of expectation because you're all just going to be disappointed day after day after day until this side actually is broken up and replaced or it gels, clicks and we fly up the league. But it's miserable reading round here after a loss.
  16. 31 min debut 1 assist against Man City. Good debut. Might be worth keeping an eye on him between now and the end of season.
  17. Good luck to him, he needs minutes and goals. Hope he bangs in a load for Fulham and earns a place on merit back at Chelsea. If not, he'll be bought by someone in the prem or championship.
  18. And he and his side weren't good enough.
  19. Destruction derbyzerbi is one point above us with Chelsea's feeder club. Going to put my neck on a block and say we finish above his side this season. Should be an aim after spending 250 million on them. I just can't see who would come to us. Poch needs a fully fit squad. we also need to see him with a fully fit squad. But my concern is the stat from last night. We're one of the top sides for conceding goals in the last 15 mins of games. That is simply conditioning/ concentration/ fitness, delete where appropriate, which with a team of 20 somethings shouldn't really happen on the fitness front. It would also suggest the team doesnt know how to play after subs have been made.
  20. Had a shocker last night. Whole team was off it, the VAR officials are probably off on a cash paid holiday. Some outrageous decisions.
  21. Think we'd be better off with the few footballs and couple of nets.
  22. I'd put him out of his misery and send him to the glue factory lifeless. Held my head in my hands at this signing as we were signing a walking treatment table... If Mutu was still around, he could have crashed on Fofana for his nights out.
  23. Ging to out dip the dippers. 6-0 Chelsea.... Jackson + Gallagher hatrick's... 😉 ignore the BS prediction, but id be delighted nicking a point or three.
