  1. Im a little confused by this. football is dead simple in my head. goals win games. dont score dont win.... like we saw yesterday. I expect Chelsea to score in every game, doesnt always happen, I sometimes wish Chelsea would score after a period of domination but it isn't always the case. If financial meddling is wrong more often than not, I dont see how potential assists or passes can be an accurate way of gauging the simple act of the final pass to a striker as its entirely based on chance within a 90 ,minute window. Gibberish stats that mean nothing imo
  2. Can I use the simple metric of a player who passed the ball to the player who scored? Honestly, sounds over complicated. Ball in net = goal. Player who passed ball to player who scored = assist. I think anything more than that and its hocus pokus stuff. It's stats but not as we know it! 🙂
  3. think he's growing into a very dependable player for us. Gets on with his job, has wobbles every now and then but it's a confidence thing. I like the fact he is starting to put himself about and physically impose himself on games. Going to be a very good player for us.
  4. What does this gibberish mean? I left Algebra behind at school.
  5. Crespo, Veron.... Di Santo... and now Enzo... despite huge reputations couldn't settle in West London. The Premiership is far too quick for Enzo, it challenges him too much and as I said in another post, isn't a team player of capable of influencing results unless it's a championship team which uurprisingly, the level of Portuguese football and why he looks a world beater against teams like Preston and Middlesborough. Do Argentines actually like playing for Chelsea? The kindest thing to do is shift him on in the summer.
  6. Perhaps the fact he has to cover two positions plus his own might have a lot to do with it. I called it first few weeks of the season when I said we look better without enzo in the side, I think we have another case of Crespo and Veron at the club. Great player but just not cut out for the premiership. We also look better with Silva out the side too. Enzo isn't a team player and refused to pass twice to players in better positions in front of an open goal. Move him on in the summer, it isn't working and he isn't at the speed of the premiership yet after new But sure, blame poch...
  7. what happens when the next manager cant get these players playing? This is the 4th in under two seasons. The team, then manager, the board, are all to blame but no one is pointing the fingers at us fans. Things to remember. We are not entitled to any success, regardless of the money spent. We are no longer in the Abramovich era. Era's always come to an end. United are still off the pace ten years after SAF left. Liverpool are going to struggle to replace Klopp. It is sad to see adults and young folk trashing a club they're supposedly supporters of. Teams are not just made on the pitch but in the stands as well. I'd be happy to see millions of fair weather fans desert the club and support the next big thing because it would mean a better atmosphere on match days among the home crowd. Interesting to see the difference between away fans getting behind this team and the fair-weather hyper critical slobs who couldn't make a subs bench in amateur football. Sack poch now and the same level of vitriol will be directed at the new manager and in 12 months time, as it was at Tuchel, Potter, Lampard and now Pochetino and just about every manager who has ever walked through the door, we'll be where we were at the start of this season. Slow handclap for the cognitively challenged supporters who cant see past their own ego. Seeing yesterdays and todays comments from "fans" is more disappointing than yesterday's result.
  8. Still in. Next season too... No complaints from me. A month before yesterday we were destroyed by Liverpool at Anfield. IF we had put away our chances... very, very different game. Poch is damned if he does and damned if he doest.
  9. 4-0 Chelsea. We will turn up and show one team this scoreline this season. confident...
  10. Todd been back to the Brighton Fetish club scene again?
  11. No brainer if he wanted to come to us, would make us top 4 and champions league. My concern is his injury record before Bayern. man has glass ankles so probably spend 200 million on him in summer. Sadly for Kane his move to Bayern came about 4 years too late to win silverware.
  12. Sanchez needs to be moved on in the summer. That's where we are with our new number 2. I see this thread and feel ashamed he might get back in the starting 11.
  13. The difference between elite and world class.
  14. I wouldn't change the make up of this team, it's developing and needs stability along the back line. As good at shot stopping as Sanchez is, he is good at this, keepers need to command their area, Petrovic hasn't really made any errors leading to goals. Like many breaking into or playing in this side, they need confidence and belief. Stick with the current formula.
  15. Well, one has played a lot more games for City than the other has for Chelsea. One is injury free and the other is qualifying to become a doctor in hospital. Pep signed a center back to play him left full back. underwhelming but available for his club unlike Dr Fofana.
  16. Second season and Brighton are performing worse than last year. We've conceded one less goal than them. No thanks, Keep Poch about until the end of his contract and we won't have to worry about FFP on him.
  17. Right up there for me as player of the season with Palmer. Ive been entirely consistent in calling him one of our best players this season, defended him from the CFC hillbillies who are only happy moaning about how bad he is, we're now starting to see him move his game on a level. He was absolutely sensational yesterday. Calvin Phillips struggles for form, Henderson doesnt have the legs anymore, this man should be a shoe in for the ending room of England. Brilliant player and without him, we dont chase from the front. No wonder sp*rs want him. Would he improve united, Liverpool, city, spurs, villa... yes... absolutely. You build teams around characters like Connor not sell them.
  18. Im amazed someone hasn't put up another post asking whether poch in or out. I want him here until end of next season. Let him have the two seasons. He is starting to get a tune out of the players. As for De Zerbi. let the dippers or united have him, Brighton cant defend and have had wallopings all through the season. limited impact manager who has been found out at premier league level. It's bad enough we're now being linked with Davis the striker from there who has had an awful season. Brighton is CFC's sex dungeon fetish club... Sick of it.
  19. Hope the next and final appearance for Silva in a blue shirt will be 19th May at home to Bournemouth when we will give him the legendary send off he deserves. Proof is in the pudding, we look a much more cohesive unit with him sat in the stands or bench. should have been moved on last year.
  20. Reckon a loss or a draw... spirited display is all im looking for, fight, no heads dropping if we go behind, and a bit of spite into tackles and challenges. Bets for the day... Jackson, palmer, Gallagher to score anytime. Won't bet against Chelsea, but probably opt for a draw.
  21. James is 0 compared to gusto currently because he isn't fit and hasn't been since winning the champions league. gusto can play left and right back and looks pretty sensational so far. James was a great player for us, but his inability to remain injury free now counts against him. Really hope that changes but the speed at which Gusto is settling into the side should be concerning to James.
  22. BBC Gossip section today. Tottenham are confident manager Ange Postecoglou, 58, will stay at the club despite potential interest from Liverpool as the Reds look to replace Jurgen Klopp this summer. (Telegraph - subscription required) Sink two birds with one stone... Would love it as Keegan once mused.
  23. Absolute Baller... Something of the Dani Alves about him Cant see James getting his place back if he continues his integration to the team.
