[POLL] Who should take every freekick?
There was a time when Lamps took all the free kicks and either.... (A) scored through a deflection.(Some of the time) (:) Hit the wall.(Most of the time) Most of the time Geremi didnt get a look in, although he was probably the best free kick taker at the club. Something similar is happening now with Drogba and Ballack. I think Ballack should be given more free kicks from distance. Drogba is better nearer the box as he can get wicked top-spin and get it up and down quickly

The goal posts look like they are falling over or on a slope?

Fat Spanish waiter whinges big-time
Got this e-mail yesterday: Dont know the author, but a good read. Liverpool: So Very, Very Unlucky Firstly, I thought Liverpool were the better side on the night and deserved to win. That said, I could not believe what Benitez said in the press conference. To be fair, he does seem to have adopted those lovable Scouse traits of hypocrisy and moaning (dignity in very short supply). Apparently Benitez was unhappy with the officials, and said that this "happens a lot". I think fans of Juve, Chelsea, Inter, AC Milan and Arsenal would beg to differ. As has been shown by Sky, there should actually have been more injury time than the 4 mins due to treatment of players and subs. So let's dismiss that straight away, because it's a minimum of 4 mins, and the goal went in at 3 seconds after that. Has he conveniently forgotten the decisions that went his way in this game, let alone in previous seasons? Carragher fouls Drogba, denying a goalscoring opportunity. It was just outside the box but it was a red card and given where he fell, it probably would have been a penalty. Nothing was given. Their goal came from a free kick that was never a foul, taken from 10 yards away from where the alleged offence took place, and should have been flagged offside due to Babel moving towards the ball when it was in the air - thus making him active. That's in one game. Off the top of my head I can think of a Juve goal wrongly disallowed at Anfield in 04/05, the "phantom goal" against Chelsea in the semi final the same year, the linesman flag going up before the 2nd goal in the final against Milan but being ignored, Gerrard's dive to win the penalty in the same game, Inter having Materazzi sent off for absolutely nothing after 30 mins, Arsenal being denied a blatant penalty and then a very dodgy one given to Liverpool with 4 mins to go. So many, many fans of those sides who have seen Liverpool benefit from such ample slices of luck would have been amazed at Benitez's comments.

The"Boro snatch late point" miracle thread.
I think we could do well without the two extra matches that we'd have to play if we don't qualify directly to the UCL. Ok, the qualifier matches are early on in the season and especially the English players are gonna be fresh at that moment, but still, I think it does matter whether we finish 2nd or 3rd. I thought the top 3 english sides qualified automatically for the group stage from next year? I remember there was a proposed rule change not so long ago. The fourth placed english side would however have to play more qualifying matches? I could be way off, but I think I remember something about this coming from Platini.

Chelsea vs Middlesbrough
I thought that was hillarious. She slept through the whole game. Best £46 she ever spent!

it's fenerbahce
Well done Van Hooijdonk. Nice posting. Nothing wrong with your user name either. Fine player. Not everyone on here has a hard on for Glasgow Rangers.

Who.s better S.Kalou or SWP
Kalou's finishing is pretty poor...but SWP's seemingly endless ability to lose the ball by trying a "bit of trickery" when he is last man back trumps that.
-
it's fenerbahce
what's the betting fatty plays weakened side in premier league game and hands them 3 pts in what is a crucial league game for our slight chances of closing the gap No chance. Liverpool need the points to ensure 4th spot and a champions league place next season.

Is Malouda a FLOP yet?
scratch that, Ive changed my mind after seeing him last saturday! When he lost the ball he just stood still and didnt track back or try to win it back. Better rid of a player with that attitude

I know. Isn't it a sad indictment of the world we live in when jokes get taken out of context and used as propaganda by people with a religious chip on their shoulder. I mean, God forbid you tell an 'thick' Irish joke to an Irishman...you're being racist! Or a 'sheep shagging' joke to a New Zealander. Or... (insert race, religion, whatever, here) Im Irish...you calling me thick?? Sorry...gotta go...Potatoes are boiling....

Is Malouda a FLOP yet?
Essien took a season and a half to show us his best form. He was slated in his first season. Same with Drogba. Give Malouda a chance!

Blues enter Kalouda chase
Hope we sign him just to make Andy Gray's life hell when he is doing commentary...... "Kalou to Kalouda to Malouda back to Kalou to Kalouda to Malouda to Pizarro who shoots!...and its a throw in.

BARNSLEEEEEEEEY!!!!!!!!
Hopefully The yanks will not give Rafa the money for a permanent deal for Mascherano. He might be available for us to sign then! He would come in handy when Mikel is sent off every third game or so.
-
Is Mikel back for Sunday?
f*ck the 3rd/4th place play-off....! I doubt Drogba, Kalou or Essien have any interest in that match and would much prefer to play against Liverpool than in that meaningless match.

Wise to assist KK
With all Wise's moves...I thought this was funny.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/a ... ge_id=1779 Day two of Sportsmail's tongue-in-cheek look at the new life of Dennis Wise, Newcastle's new executive director (football) A bit of a mixed day: I called the ground to see if anything needed doing but nobody was there - instead I got put through to the club shop and ended up buying a 2007 Magpies calendar and a Freddy Shepherd-shaped mirror from their bargain bucket. They will look good in my new office - when I find it. Went to Argos and bought a table and chair set and a little desk organiser - and ordered a laptop from PC World. Stopped off at an internet cafe and had a large latte while sorting out some business. Got some business cards printed online Got through to Kev at last but the line went dead after two seconds - must have been a crossed line or possible interference up north. Will try again later. Got through to Ashley at last and asked him to give me a job description. He simply said: "Buy a Newcastle shirt, buy everyone beers and watch as it all unravels." Not sure if he was talking about shirt so I'll have to buy an expensive one. Did look at some shirts but black and white stripes are so not me - I went for a suit instead. I'm an executive after all. On the player front, Ashley told me to make sure I got the most over-priced, over-hyped, over-rated players to St James' as the transfer window starts to close. Now this puts me in a difficult position as Tottenham already seem to have bought them all. Must go - there's work to be done. Have you seen Dennis Wise? Tell us what he's up to at Where's Wisey? We can now report our first sighting of the man himself. Norm McIlvenny alerted us: "I saw Wisey this morning on my way to the bus stop - he was sitting on a toadstool in someone's garden, seemed to be fishing in their pond which I thought was strange at 7am in the morning."
