Bloody hell Bluebeard after your dismembering of Zola these past few days can there be a closet Bhoy wanting to burst out,is there something you would like to share with the group. No I doubt it very much.
  10. cant be a lot of All Ireland Titles round your end of the country Laim, if thats the way you guys play it.When played at its best its a beauty to watch, not an awful lot of hoofing as I remember.
  11. They have been about in a number of versions since the 1920's Bluebeard, were very successful in the recent past.Tambling was appointed boss in 1984 but he only lasted 13 matches.
  12. My mate and myself had tickets for the show in the Ulster Hall(for any Led Zep fanatics the first place Stairway to Heaven was ever played live to any audience)we decided to go to the hotel first rather than wait for the band after the show.I thought this was a completeley stupid idea but my mate Eamon insisted, get them fresh when they are leaving for the gig.We stood for 25 mins in the foyer of the most bombed hotel in Europe, cursing our luck because our 3 other mates had left hours ago after loads of pints.Holy sh*t the lift doors opened,Robertson and Gorham walked out and completeley ignored us,Downey and Lynott followed, stopped chatted and signed our little books.Phil was as high as a kite, but a true gent. What a concert.Just one footnote to all this,my mate Eamon was killed last Sept 08,I hadnt had much contact with him in the years between, but his wife showed me the little book with the auograph in it at his wake.(an irish thing were we all sit round and remember the corpse while getting pissed),I dont think I have ever cried as much over anything. Its most likely the best show I ever was at,its New Years Eve and I still remember the concert and him like it was this yesterrday. Its great to be still alive folks, happy New year to you all.Regards Dave

  15. Its not often it happens, but this weekend I managed to get tickets to N.Ireland v Serbia and my son in law and his 3 brothers got tickets to Croker for the France game.Going to Windsor Park for a catlik is like walking through the gates of hell, but so what, unlike some of the NI fans I actually have an interest in football.Since we are both CFC supporters I thought we could report on Chelsea players involved. My self and my son went to Windsor Park in the hope that we might see the mighty Ivanovic play, alas he started on the bench and stayed there. From the game my original observation some years ago that J.Evans is a total w**ker was only strengthened by the fact that he never appeared for the second half, nor did his Man U partner Vidic.Reports from Dublin suggest that Anelka was very good ,Henry was very good ,John OShea is a complete donkey as is Kilbane,as for R.Keane well enough said. Its always nice to leave Windsor Park with f**k The Pope ringing in your ears.Come on Paris.
