I believe you and the other Grantistas do not understand the depth of trouble we're in with Grant in charge. We are on the fast track back to pre-Ranieri days. We will win nothing and we will lose extremely talented players in the close season. Players who were committed to the cause when the club showed equal committment to them, hence the 6 trophies in 3 years. Players who just a few short months ago beat an in form Man U team to lift the FA Cup. Dear me, CALM DOWN! I have it on good authority that not only the world's best players, but the world's best young players, will be queueing up to play for Avram. That means with other players of equal skill level, and a manager who knows how to get the best from all of them. Are you saying these players don't have a right to want to play at a properly run club? And when the owner appoints his mate, who incidentally has no experience, as manager do you also think that means the club is serious about winning? Then again, most of you seem to believe that all players are Rio Ferdinand copies and will sell to the highest bidder. In the end, even Rio wanted to win something and agitated for a move to the mancs - a club with serious ambitions every year. (cue f**k off to Manchester replies) It's easy. Firstly, I could care less what he gets paid every week as most of it is currently being underwritten by Roman and I still pay my share every season. Secondly, he realises something is broken with our club (Drogba's exact words) and refuses to be part of furthering the the damage done. More importantly, he refuses to assist in helping a con man achieve the one thing he needs to continue his con. In this case, credibility in the form of silverware at the highest level. Whether he's doing this for altruistic reasons I could care less. Both Malouda and Essien (along with Drogs) are great players and I think it's much easier to replace the imposter at the helm rather than find players who will produce like the latter two have for our club already. I take what you are saying but thats not my point. The point isnt about his form or quality. Its about his attitude and effort. Both of which stink. His attitiude and effort were fine before the club sank into the farce it has become now. In fact, players such as Malouda and Essien should be applauded for refusing to give their all to a man not deserving their respect and who would subsequently benefit from those efforts. They should be treated as heroes.
