Anyone else feel we're a complete joke?
No. We shed that tag the second Grant was sacked.

Roman CAN walk away...
Have to agree with you on this dkw. They not only got it wrong, but they went out of their way to get it wrong, as well. In addition, this type of story is not incidental like the ones purporting to "scoop" whether Sidwell stays or goes.

Roman CAN walk away...
Just out of curiosity, does that mean we own the club? If so, can we ditch a certain...nevermind. It would appear that Roman is effectively lending this money to himself as he owns CFC.

DROGBA AND SHEVA GOING TO AC MILAN ....
Nothing to worry abotu here folks. It's just the normal press boll****, agitating, trying to unsetlle us before the big match. Always lying these hacks - as if they have some kind of inside knowledge you or I don't.

Grant blames Jose
I'll give you that. But I honestly believe it has more to do with him wanting to be "right" rather than actually caring. Football was a thrill for him when he was married with kids. Now he's got some new 20 yr old model girlfriend, well, who wouldn't be looking for other forms of entertainment

Grant blames Jose
If you mean Roman when you say "they", then I'm not so sure. I honestly believe Roman is getting/has been bored with it all for some time. Especially now there's a chorus of people telling him he can't play with his own toy any way he damn well pleases. Wouldn't bother me a bit if he sailed off into the sunset as any new owner would have to assume the debt in the purchase. What really frightens me is Roman punishing us (moreso than he's doing already with installing his mate) and simply refusing to invest in any players and letting the club disintegrate. And yes, he does appear to be that egotistical based on current goings on at the club.

Blues boss targets Kaka and Messi!
Are you crazy? And miss the chance to dribble round some cones? Surely you jest.

Who, in his sane mind, would want to sign for Chelsea?!
ahhh....good old second place...second best is not so bad is it, gullit? Not everyone can win, can they?

First he kicks cech in the face...
This statement is the only useful thing Tal has done for our club since he arrived. He might be scheidt, but at he least he has the balls to say what others (probably many) in the team refuse to. Well done Tal, hope you find a nice mid table team to play for next season. PS - And I don't mean us if it's true Grant is to be given £100m!

David Villa
Yup, David Villa at the head of queue to play under the esteemed tutilege of Avram "This is Football" Grant. This gets more hilarious every day.

GRANT MUST RESIGN OR BE SACKED
It worries me more, what top player would want to stay with us with him at the helm! Two excellent posts that I'm sure will draw the attentions of Chippy and Loz. Prepare to be called plastics.

Why?
Good post Barn. You are the only true Chelsea fan and I claim my £5.

Imagine Luca Cordero di Montezemolo the President Of Ferrari
Over the top? How? Maureen at least knows she's crap, doesn't she? I think deep down a certain "manager" knows the same.
-
What a disaster..
No, as several posters here and the board (doing Roman's bidding) agree, the most important thing is attractive football. The second most important thing is to have a manager that doesn't upset the opposition, UEFA, The FA, or any ref. Once these items are in place we can then think about winning. What's most important is that we play the game in a good spirit and don't prevent the other teams from having a fair go at us.

Another Grant thread, but trying to understand.
Excellent post.

Chelsea break bank for Liga stars Villa, Alves
Easy! We would have a choice from Paulo, Belletti, Ivanovic, and Alves and Grant would play Essien!

Chelsea break bank for Liga stars Villa, Alves
That's really strange, I was told players would queue up to join Chelsea because we pay them the most. I'm sure having a no mark in charge has nothing to do with it.

The Media Get it Wrong Again!!!!!
But that's not really important to Chelsea, Brit. What's most important is if the papers get it wrong on player X joining our club, or if John Terry spent £100,000 at the horses when it was actually only £8,000.

The Media Get it Wrong Again!!!!!
lol The Observer apologised for getting the info right? Grant was forced to wait for HIS team meeting as the PLAYERS meeting was still going on? Yup, sounds like they got it wrong

Well done Avi
I've slated him for every single mistake he's made (and there have been many), but today he gets full marks. Big game, correct subs, changed formation, at the right time. Still want him gone, preferably ASAP, but today Avi earned his praise. Well done, Avi - just what the team needed!

Drogba Rows With Ten Cate
Bluenut, i doubt you need to remind the public that all the evil in the world is Avram Grant's doing... Not in the entire world, he has Bush and Osama to run him close there. But at Chelsea Football Club he most undoubtedly does.

grant is claudio revisited
If Grant could, for one match only, get the same level of committment from his players as Claudio did in that CL Semi at Highbury, then I would bow down to him in honor. Since we all know that won't happen I'm not too worried. Also, Grant has a much superior squad of players than Claudio had - Gronks anyone? So basically, there is no comparison. When Grant leaves Chelsea it will be interesting to see how many teams come in for him... PS - Edit This only applies to non-pub teams!
-
What should the club do with Avram?
Getting him out now is the best option as it shows the club (Roman in this instance) is willing to admit he made a colossal mistake in appointing his mate. This would show maturity from the club and an eagerness to learn from past mistakes which could be crucial in recrutiing new players, or keeping the ones we have who we know are capable of performing at a higher level. Keeping Grant until the end of the season is only papering over the cracks in a vain attempt to save face. We certainly will do no worse without him.

Sp*rs v. CFC match thread -- 19 March
We will be lucky, very lucky, to draw on Sunday. Of course, that will have nothing to do with Grant and will be entirely the player's fault. Then again, I'm sure someone would try to spin a home draw vs L'Arse at this point in the season as proof positive of Grant's managerial capabilities. I know this because the message board geniuses told me so
