  1. Well done Everton! David Moyes has done a fantastic job on limited resources, and he's built a good young hungry side. It won't be an easy game, but should be a great final. Football is the winner today, and I dont want to make any smartarse 'quintuple down the pan' comments so I won't.
  2. Love him. He strikes fear into opposition defenders and fans alike. His attitude at times is questionable, and there have been times such as the 3-0 drubbing at Old Trafford in January when I could have cheerfully throttled him! Apart from that, he's been a fantastic player and as I think i've said in another thread, I could not bear it if he pitched up at the Bridge playing for someone else.
  3. Snap their hands off. He's a decent player but gives both the ball and silly fouls away far too easily. (IMO)
  4. Hav'nt heard anything either. He's shown promise when he's played, and I think he deserves more of a chance. Who knows, Guus may have a master plan to unleash him against ever tiring end-of-season defenders. Harking back to Chippy's earlier point, Guus obviously sees more of him than we do, so its a case of trusting his judgement.
  5. Malouda for me too, perhaps the ugly duckling is starting to turn into a swan.
  6. Listening on FiveLive, 'Blue Flag' coming across loud and clear. Can't hear the Arse
  7. Agree 100% with this. Cech is a great keeper but we do need to sign stronger back-up. Eddie and Hitch are both coaching a Citeh, maybe its worth a punt getting one of them back as extra 'keeper coach. Port Vale have a good young keeper, Joe Anyon, who Jose was looking at a couple of seaons ago. We'd get him for next to nothing.
  8. Chippy, don't know if i'm too late to do this Arsenal v Chelsea 18/04/2009 17:15 BST Manchester United v Everton 19/04/2009 16:00 BST Aston Villa v West Ham 18/04/2009 15:00 BST Middlesbrough v Fulham 18/04/2009 15:00 BST Portsmouth v Bolton 18/04/2009 15:00 BST Stoke v Blackburn 18/04/2009 15:00 BST Sunderland v Hull 18/04/2009 15:00 BST Tottenham v Newcastle 19/04/2009 13:30 BST Manchester City v West Bromwich 19/04/2009 15:00 BST Cheers Chippy
  9. Mike I think that was the last one. I had a subscription then bought for me as a present, and after that issue I received a letter saying due to 'publishing difficulties' the subscription would be suspended. Never had any refund though!
  10. 3-2 after we go 2-0 down. Drogba brace draws us level then JT heads winner from a corner with 5 minutes to go.
  11. The Drog is brilliant when his head is right. I love him when he stays on his feet and bulldozes his way past defenders. Also he's got quick feet for a big lad. But when his head isn't right and he behaves like a petulant teenager he has me tearing my hair out. I would still prefer to hang on to him though, because the very thought of Redknapp snapping him up for the spuds makes my blood run cold. I can't bear thinking about what would happen if he pitched up at the Bridge playing for someone else.
  12. We toyed with them like a cat with a mouse. All the talk before hand was whether the ratmunchers could score three at the Bridge, then we go and score 4 in one half! Seriously though, the lads showed fantastic spirit after a dismal first half display. Good to see 3 English clubs in the last 4, that should piss on Platini's chips. Glad to report my heart rate has JUST returned to normal
  13. 3-0. Think boys will be well up for it. Bolton will resist stoutly for half an hour and then succumb.
  14. Daz was slightly better than Graham Wilkins in my opinion. It took me years to recover after witnessing his performance in a 6-2 loss away at Man.City in 1979(ish)
  15. NO! NO!NO! NO! NO!!! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? I'm no great fan of the ratmunchers, but anything, anybody is better than Manure. Ferguson has the powers that be running scared everytime he opens his mouth, be it to intimidate referees or fixture listings. The sycophantic media, be it the written variety or those nodding goons on the television, bow and scrape in the hope of picking up a few crumbs from his table. If they don't toe the line, or print the wrong point of view, they never get granted another audience with the great one. They have won 9 or so prem titles with Arse providing the only creditable opposition in the early days, followed by us. The ratmunchers now have to carry the mantle. Manure will win things this year, next year, the year after and for every foreseeable year. For the rest of us, these things come and go in peaks and troughs. They have the stadium, fanbase and support of the media to allow this to continue ad infinitum. Toddlers that I first saw waddling around Tesco wearing their silly little SHARP VIEWCAM shirts are now parents themselves, propogating the next generation of gloryhunting tossers. I know its like being between the devil and the deep blue sea, but it will be better for football if we don't stop them, then the ratmunchers do. UP THE CHELS!!!
  16. We will draw Manure and beat them......... or the Ratmunchers.......... or Barca........... (as usual)
  17. I do to., and I honestly think, and this will be a bit controversial, that he has turned the corner and performances are slowly on the up. Remember, the jury was out for a while when Lamps first came.
  18. Yes and me. I think he would provide an excellent 'middle man' between the manager and players, and he would be a great influence on the younger players, especially Mikel and Mancienne.
