  1. Essien by miles. He was as good as Robinho was bad.
  2. Totally agree with all that, but would like to add that the signing of Ruud Gullitt made more people sit up and take notice of Chelsea. It made other players think about coming too. Also Kerry and David Speedie were two great signings, coming as they did, when we were just starting to emerge from the Dark Days and needed someone to worship.
  3. Off the top of my head: The Sensational Alex Harvey Band-Live The Song Remains the Same- Led Zeppelin Robin Trower- Live
  4. It's a tough one to call. Hiddink strikes me as being an honourable man, and he has said more than once that he will leave, and I believe him, though I would like him to stay. I too would welcome Jose back with open arms, as he should never have gone in the first place. the question remains, will he come? If he doesn't, and Guus goes, who would be the best man for the job? Answers on a postcard!
  5. Better version of that by Hendrix I think. Daydream- Robin Trower (a classic of its genre)
  6. I thought Mikel had one of his best games for us. Great to see the Bison back, and yet again Cech was a rock. Well done to all the lads, on what was a great result and team performance.
  7. Don't know why, just got a feeling it may be a strange scoreline. 3-2 to the Chels

  9. 100% agree Lofty, there is definitely an anti-Chelsea bias. The only thing we can do is keep ramming it back down their throats by achieving the results. COME ON YOU BLUES!!!!!!!!
  10. Cracking game, once again we are being dis-advantaged by toss euro-refs. The Bison rules!!!
  11. I've been thinking about this for a couple of days, and like most other members it will probably change tomorrow..... The Sensational Alex Harvey Band-Faith Healer Jimi Hendrix- I dont live today Major Lance- Aint no Soul (Recorded live at the Torch) Led Zeppelin-When the Levee Breaks The Smiths-How soon is Now? John Mayalls Bluesbreakers-All your lovin' Billy Butler-The Right Track John Lee Hooker-One Bourbon, One Scotch and One Beer Led Zeppelin-In my time of Dying J.S.Bach-Toccata and Fugue .....I've just thought of another couple of hundred.....
  12. You made the right choice Chip, 3-0 sounds about right. It will be tight for the first half hour until we score. We will get another early in the second half, then a third with 10 to go. Sound good? Christ I almost beleive it myself!! Good luck with the bet!
  13. Agree 100%, any decent manager worth his salt would not counternance interference from above. Magoo is right to say that this sort of thing can de-motivate people, especially fringe players. Why doesn't Buck keep his gob shut!!
  14. From Willy Foulke, through Vic Woodley, the Cat, Johnny Phillips, Eddie Niedzwiecki, Petar Borota who created an art form of making saves with his arse, up to Dave Beasant, Ed de Goey and Carlo Cudicini, is Petr Cech the best we have ever had? I think so! Well done on your outstanding clean sheet stat Petr, your the greatest!
  15. Well done lads, I thought my heart had stopped near the end! Cech is superb!!
  16. I too think that Guus will leave, he seems a man of rare integrity, and if he says he will go I think he will go. Roman should then go on bended knee to Jose, and assure him that there will be no interference in player-buying, team selection etc and give him free reign to stand or fall on his own descisions. Rarely in sport do you get something that is special, he is made for us, and we were made for him. Left alone to do things his own way, I believe Jose can deliver and make us truly a world football power. If however, Guus decides to stay, based on what we have seen so far, I would be more than happy.
  17. Only Bluenut out of us all gets in before Malouda? You obviously havn't seen my dragbacks and Charlie Cooke 'tache!!
  18. Spurs for me, I won't be able to stand it if Manure manage to pull off the 'quintuple'. The press in particular will never stop going on about it. EVER.
  19. We were lucky today, Wigan are a decent side and they played really well. Why do we always seem to struggle against them? Why do they seem to do well against us, then roll over against Manure? JT was immense and Lamps pulled out another top draw performance. Titus Bramble played really well, and that's a sentence I never thought I would type!
  20. Yes I would agree, but you never know with Sunderland they are a strange side. Also the scousers will be down after getting a spanking at the smog monsters. We on the other hand have a fairly good record at Pompey, and should come away with all 3 points.
  21. Everton v West Bromwich 28/02/2009 12:45 GMT EVERTON WIN Arsenal v Fulham 28/02/2009 15:00 GMT ARSENAL WIN Chelsea v Wigan 28/02/2009 15:00 GMT CHELS WIN Middlesbrough v Liverpool 28/02/2009 15:00 GMT DRAW Hull v Blackburn 01/03/2009 12:30 GMT DRAW West Ham v Manchester City 01/03/2009 12:30 GMT WEST HAM WIN Bolton v Newcastle 01/03/2009 13:00 GMT NEWCASTLE WIN Aston Villa v Stoke 01/03/2009 15:00 GMT DRAW Cheers Chippy your a star, i've only recently found the site but i'm hooked already. Thanks for all your efforts
  22. Apologies if I seem a bit thick, but i'm a newby. You surely don't finance these bets out of your own pocket do you? I have obviously read the top page, but as you can tell, I don't know the rules. I'd like to have a go but wouldn't like to do you out of your hard earned cash. How does it work? Cheers
  23. Peter Nicholas for getting sent off at Stoke in 1985(?) and the ten men going onto win 3-0! MAGIC!! Also Trevor Aylott for scoring the winner against Forest at the Bridge when they won the league and only lost twice all season
  24. Kalou for me, for encouragement purposes. Got a mate who watches the Wolves and he reckons Mancienne was terrific for them all season. Appreciate its a league lower, but hopefully he will get more chances to show us what he can do. Does Malouda need to go out on loan for confidence building? To Port Vale or Rochdale perhaps?
