  1. Welcome to the Shed End JCM!!
  2. Voted for Cech as I thought it was his best game for ages. The saves from Arse-shaver and one from Fabregas's free kick whilst being unsighted by Gallas were top class. Nearly voted for Ash though as I thought he was tremendous too.
  3. Fantastic result! Cech and all the back four were magnificent. Mikel played well apart from his usual sh*te distribution. Lamps, Malouda, Ballack and Anelka all did ok, Drog was in usual gooner-destruction mode.
  4. Ok mate you have got me there!! :D
  5. I saw Pan's Labyrinth the other week, what an absolutely fantastic film. I was completely spellbound for the whole film. Also watched Valkyrie recently but was slightly disappointed. Why does it have Tom Cruise and Eddie Izzard cast as German Army Officers? Surely there are loads of german actors who would do a much better job? Das Boot was filmed in german using german actors and subtitled in English and was absolutely brilliant. Why couldn't the same thing be done for Valkyrie? The story is about a group of very brave men who tried to stop Hitler, and I think their story was not done justice by drafting in Hollywood Stars just to satisfy perceived box-office demand.
  6. I hope we do! I'll say this every game if it works!
  7. What about the 'Sound of Music'? I'd rather drill holes in my kneecaps than watch that!
  8. Very true! comments like that really add fuel to the conspiracy fire. The pro Man Ure statements trotted out week after week really make me puke
  9. It was obvious the mancs would do a job on Pompey, so no surprises there. Bluebeard is right and the time has come for Carlo to back JT and instil a siege mentality for the rest of the season. Come on Chels!!!!!
  10. When we won promotion back to the old first division in 1977/8, I seem to recall that we sealed it with a win at home against Hull(?) Each of our goals sparked a celebratory pitch invasion, during which a shed ender presented their goalkeeper with a bunch of flowers. Can anyone verify this or is my mind starting to go?
  11. It is a joke decision and I understand your anger Bluebeard, but to wish for the demise of the England team in the early stages just to make some sort of point is madness. Terry can make a point by not speaking to the media after his MOTM performance in the final!
  12. Completely agree with you Chippy.
  13. You're right Sleepy_g, he is a grade A tit!
  14. I do too and it wasn't so good. There was a depression hanging over the place in those days which was really hard to shake off. Ken was a nice bloke who had a hard act to follow because Eddie had installed a bit of belief in the supporters, and when he went things started to slide. Ive never forgiven Brian Mears for getting rid of Eddie, and often muse on what might of happened had he stayed.
  15. We would be mad to let him leave. He's a decent lad who hasn't had the best of starts/luck, but I think he will grow into a fantastic player. Remember both Lamps and Drog didn't have the best of starts but look what's happened since.
  16. Oh Yes! and they will start asap, so expect something controversial against Inter. They won't leave it till the later stages his year.
  17. That's definitely worth a try. Also we could employ the same trick on opposition keepers as Hull did against us. I thought it was quite effective.
  18. Ivan was the best of a mediocre bunch. It was just a bad day at the office, it happens sometimes. We don't half like pressurizing ourselves though. Sunday is now a must win.

  20. Welcome Carl, you have come to the right place!
  21. Hobo painting on the wall Just before him curtain call Baba Biffo he don't eat beef He got him subways in his teeth from VAMBO by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band Great song, strange lyrics!
  22. Welcome to the Shed End Pride of Lions!
  23. John Terry should retain the captaincy. What he has done should be sorted between him and his wife. It has nothing to do with anyone else. Whatever you think of him as a man should be kept apart from what you think of him as a professional footballer. He is an adulterer - no more than that. The man who will be KING is an adulterer. The last Conservative PRIME MINISTER was an adulterer (if Edwina Currie can be believed!) These people run the country and nothing has happened to them! Did not a previous England manager commit adultery with a secretary from the FA? It is, as we all know, rife in all walks of life. JT should not be punished for doing what thousands do every day. I for one, look forward to the day that he holds the world cup aloft and rams all this back down the throats of the media!
  24. Welcome to the Shed End Simone!
