clubhappy Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 With all the bad publicity hes recieved this week I cant help but worry J.T. may well decide to pack up the premiership and go abroad at the end of the season. This incident will not go away for a while and after todays decision by Capello , J.T. is in for some serious abuse from the terraces. He might well decide he's had enough and may well feel he might live a better and more private excistence somewhere in Europe . Christ i hope im wrong but i cant help worry this is a possibility.
BLUENUT Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 No chance. I'm more worried about the adverse effects this will have on the other players aswell as JT, the extra abuse from the terraces and have a nagging feeling it has the potential to completely F*CK UP our season! The girls story hasn't even been released yet! They've dug deep, and are still digging!
Zola Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Which means, on Sunday we will be really embarrassed for JT and whoever else.
BlueNose Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 why should we be embarrassed? JT,as weve already seen will give his best no matter what and we need to come out and support him every game rather than hide because some other tossers are giving him abuse.
TheWestwayWonder Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I think there is a definite chance. He is a strong willed competitor and has taken plenty of abuse in his time, but the allmighty storm he is bringing upon himself is too much for one person to bear. Like the Tiger Woods situation, this is just going to snowball. Unless his private life is meaningless to him this is going to have some kind of mental toll on the man. He loves the club but the most obvious solution is to go abroad.
loz Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 He has to face up to it, take it, and get past it. David Beckham was once the most hated man in English football and he came through the other side of that. Terry has to do likewise,

andy Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 It will fire him up.. I said on another thread there is no indication as to time line, unlikely but he could be reinstated once the Media scrum as ended.. Say if captains Chelsea to League and Champions League victories this season a puts in the half season of his life... he will be hard to ignore

Terry has to do likewise, That or teach the English press a lesson and retire from International football immediately. I hope he does, and take Frank, Ashley, and Joe with him, too.
loz Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Once it stops selling papers the press will go away. Another story will be keeping them busy in a few weeks time.
Peeking Duck? Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Once it stops selling papers the press will go away. Another story will be keeping them busy in a few weeks time. Like how Ashley should be dropped for his repeated traffic violations :)
moi Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 That or teach the English press a lesson and retire from International football immediately. I hope he does, and take Frank, Ashley, and Joe with him, too. I think that sort of Prima Donna behaviour would be both arrogant and despicable. It would give the youth of England an even worse example than he already has done. The only decent thing he can do is to grit his teeth, play as well as he can and ride out the storm.
smileysmiles Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Its a total Joke. You can fail to turn up for drug tests and get banned and still be captain but do something in your private life and you cannot. The press have what they want were JT is concerned now they just ned to dig deeper to derail us to get ManUre or The Arse back on top of the prem. This is what its all about.

Where would he go if he did ? The only 2 club's I can think of that would match his current deal is Real Madrid or Barca ? If they wanted him . Don't think his profile is high enough now to sell shed loads of shirts ? Might be different at the end of the season and the World Cup .

Couldn't disagree with you more. The press have waged a hate campaign against him. He's done nothing wrong with regard to football or the team. The only person who has been aggrieved in this is his wife.
loz Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Any talk about JT and the other Chelsea players retiring from international football is preposterous. Dear Frank, Ashley and Joe, I know you have spent your football careers striving to be the best at what you do and have reached the pinnacle of the game with the ultimate sporting tournament just months away but please remember this is about me, not you. Frank, I always admired the way you deal with the England boo boys. You kept plugging away, you didn't cry foul and retire like Paul Scholes - you put your love of playing for England ahead of the morons in the crowd. However please remember Frank this is about me, not you. Joe, you are just getting back from a terrible injury and starting to re-establish yourself in the Chelsea first team. Throughout your career your reputation has oscillated between being England's most creative player to being a one trick showboater. However you kept plugging away because you love playing for your country and should be going to South Africa. However remember this is about me, not you. Ashley, you have had your own personally life problems to deal with and you appear to have come out the other side. You dealt with the hatred of the Arsenal fans and also England fans for an extended period of time but you kept plugging away because you love playing for your country and you are now recognised as one of the , if not the, finest left backs in the world. However remember this is about me, not you. Oh and by the way it is true that if you all retire from international football then the media will have a field day for weeks over it and my wife will have to deal with this intrusion for an even longer period of time. This at a time when I am fighting to save my marriage. However remember this is about me, not her. Somehow I doubt JT will concur that everyone walking out on England is a good idea. I just can't believe people actually think it would be a good one.
Iceman Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Ashley is going to be front page news in this Sunday's NOTW allegedly. The press want to destroy everything Chelsea !
sleepy_gonzalez Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 as if it's not enough of a waste that he's lost the captaincy. retire from international football? with lamps joey and ash? are you scottish?

Chippy Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Contrary to the Boys retireing from international football I hope they all draw motivation from this and overshadow the performances of the media darlings in the World Cup, I would love to see Ash play the way he does for us and Lamps to make Gerrard look like a Carthorse with dodgy ankles, I hope JT still go's with them and I hope he has to deal with everything defensively when Rio is seen to struggle. AT the end of the day I don't agree with the decision to take the band away from him but I don't agree with what he has been getting up to. JT is a great player but money and fame have probobly made him a lesser person, he will grow up and I hope its soon enough to get his career fully back on track. I doubt the only player to be shouting and gee'ing the boys up will be Ferdinand and can imagine JT still being a big voice on the pitch if he is in the team.
geezer Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 As far as Chelsea are concerned it's time for siege mentality to take place. Us against the world. f**k 'em all As for the decision by Capello I think Bridge should be quitely confident he maybe going to the world cup.
Mike O Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 I'll stick a tenner on JT leaving for Inter in the summer. There's a very good piece in the Guardian today about how the Italians are laughing their heads off at us over this as they don't give a stuff about who shags who.

Seriously doubt Inter would come close to matching his salary, and he'll look like a bit of a pussy leaving after this. To prove his own mettle I'm sure he'll stick with it.
