  1. The same as the club's statement. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0...1712156,00.html No, it's more or less idiocy on Hughes part as we have flat out denied any offers. Plus, it's reeking of Madrid under Calderon.
  2. Why then? The CL thing is a different story. Terry has said many times that he likes it here. Ancelotti has stuck his neck out saying Terry wants to stay. Do you think he would've said that? We rarely make statements like this to begin with.
  3. Yet people are still saying he should say something. He only has to if his thoughts aren't congruent with the club's. Cognitive dissonance at its finest. According to you, he isn't obligated to say something yet it is odd that he hasn't.
  4. *Sigh* Again: He is not obligated to say anything. How hard is this concept?
  5. How hard is this for people to grasp? His club, you know, his employers spoke for him. He is not obligated to come out and say anything.
  6. I know someone from another board who works for a paper. Says that there are times when his bosses will actually ask him to simply make something up that sounds at least slightly plausible. This is one of them unfortunately.
  7. Honestly, how hard is it to listen to the player himself, the club and subsequently, the manager, who surely put his reputation right on the line in his very first press conference? I'll say it again, some people seem to think the club's reaction was to kick Terry's arse into gear. It wasn't.
  8. IIRC Ashley Cole approached us first. Yeah we shouldn't have been meeting him in restaurants but he did approach us. You mean Mikel who was apparently forced to sign a contract under duress? Where he didn't have any of his representatives but there were plenty of Man United ones? Riiiiigggghhhttt. His employers have already spoken for him and Ancelotti has spoken for him. I don't think it needs to be any clearer unless he actually thinks otherwise (He hasn't as of now) Terry is also on holiday so the last thing he needs is to quell a bunch of things that his employers have already done while he's on holiday. Some people seem to think the statement was meant to get Terry in gear, it wasn't.
  9. That's Jack Cork.
  10. Alex has been named as Ancelotti's favorite CB (Way back in his PSV days), Van Basten had him in his world 11, and Arsenal fans were probably hoping Wenger would sign him after Alex made Arsenal his bitch after that CL match. Ivanovic is a good shout though.
  11. Cech had an amazing Euro before he joined us. Carlo Cudicini would be a great example here though. Playing for a lower division side then for 160,000 he joins us and becomes awesome till Cech came. I loved Carlo, he was one of the reasons why I became a keeper.
  12. Funny as I never even used the word. Try reading my posts again before you jump to conclusions.
  13. No he doesn't need to say anything about it. Aaron Lincoln is the one to blame for this crap. It has nothing to do with John Terry, or the club. That's simply not the way it works these days. Lincoln's taken a flyer and had ended up looking stupid, so I hope JT has a word. I don't know how many times JT has to tell people he's not leaving Chelsea and I don't know how many times the club needs to tell other clubs he's not for sale. What part of 'he's not for sale' don't you get? You're turning into the filth that is Real Madrid by assuming that because you've made a bid the player might be interested. Your arrogance has made you start putting the cart before the horse. You're not Real, and even if you ever did come close you're about thirty years away. Chelsea rarely make such statements, so it's safe to assume they'd like you to find a different playground and stop pretending you're Real Madrid. You can carry on ignoring the bigger picture for as long as you like.
  14. What a bunch of bullsh*t. 1. You had to sell SWP because you were short on cash at the time. 2. Get this delusion out of your head that Terry is keen to move. It's like Calderon is in charge of City now. 3. Money may talk, but trophies have a loud voice. 4. New big boys in town? Get to the top four first then we'll talk. You're not even in Europe this year.
  15. No, it wouldn't.. No because the club have already said no, Terry's been talking about playing under Ancelotti. Just because Terry hasn't commented on it doesn't mean we should be worried.
  16. Eh? Would you rather this get out in the papers and cause discomfort? Excuse me? What part of the statement didn't get through to you? Yes, the club's rattled by the fact that despite being told no before you're still trying to make a bid. You're turning into Madrid under Calderon. Thinking that just because you're interested it means the player wants to come. It doesn't seem your lessons have been learned yet.
  17. Yes, a team that's constant contenders for the league, going far in the CL for the last five years, and a trophy here and there yet we lose our "pull". It's June, not August.
  18. Before my time (Before I was born actually) but John Neal and his health trouble. Would've been interesting if that didn't happen. Currently, Zola leaving. He was the reason I started following Chelsea.
  19. I'm of the mindset that the media is talking crap as the Portsmouth chairman hasn't exactly said that it's Chelsea who matched the bid.
  20. I'll be pissed if we sell Bos. This club is so moronic at times that if we were shooting our feet, we'd be busy shooting the prosthetic we'd be given.
  21. Navas? Seriously? He has a huge and I mean huge problem being away from home. He's walked out of team camps in Spain FFS!
  22. From another board on Dembele: from what I've seen he is a bit like Ben Arfa in build/style but he has a far better footballing brain and better goal scoring ability. Despite having excellent speed and the ability to maintain ball control while dribbling at speed, what surprised me from the few matches I've seen of him is his close control under pressure and in tight spaces. He does not panic like Ben Arfa and has several ways of using his dribbling rather than going at 100mph, on top of that he can attack from either flank and has good shooting ability.
  23. Milan play a 4-3-2-1. Pirlo, Gattuso, and Ambrosini play in a midfield three. Gattuso does the hassling, Ambrosini does a bit of hassling and distribution, and Pirlo runs everything but doesn't do any hassling. Milan usually line up like this -------------Striker--------- --------Kaka------Seedorf--- Ambrosini---Pirlo---Gattuso-- -----------Defense---------
