Women's WC
The German women have two stars for their 2003 and 2007 championships. Brasil just don't have any for the women's side, so they borrow from the men's. I guess it's something.

Essien injured?
Am I reading that right? ACL AND MCL? 6 months if he's lucky. That's a horrid double tear.

Essien injured?
Not that I've heard, but I wonder if they already know the results and just haven't put them out to the public...

Women's WC
I'm with you ace. That was a great game. I was trying to talk to a mate of mine to explain how he missed just an awesome game of football. He didn't want to hear about it because it was women playing. He just doesn't think they have any quality. Watching that game, and others, has proven that the women's game has all kinds of quality these days.

Liverpool's transfers
Half? Probably more like most. I almost spit my drink out while reading their comments... Unreal. They should be happy if they're contending for the top 4.

Agree with everything here minus having the hots for Hope Solo.

Luka Modric
I wonder if you think that Tottenham are a bunch of c**ts... The thing I'm wondering with Ray is this, all that time with us and I rarely heard anything about him (or from him) in the media. He's gone and now he's the foremost authority on what's happening at Chelsea. Many of the articles I see are about Ray having some type of input as to what we should or should not do. It's getting a tad annoying, I'll tell you that.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Not surprising that he's stirring the pot... Again.

England blow it on PK's, and Germany are undone by a resilient Japan. Interesting games today. I hope tomorrow's games are just as good.

Essien injured?
Gutted for him if it is confirmed as a tear. Gutted for him and the team. Sad news if it's true. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Luck or Skill?
I wonder how many times out of 10 either one of them could do that... I think first look, I'd say both were luck. I do agree that Lamps was going for goal and Drogs' was more of a cross. And yes, they went in which is the most important thing.

Women's WC
Assuming Sweden beat Australia, which is the more likely scenario, that would put them up against Germany in the semis (who should beat Japan). That will be a very interesting match. Sweden has a lot of pace and that could cause the Germans issues. Some interesting games ahead!

Battlefield 3 PC - Frosbite 2
It's a shame it's still so far off until release date.

Stadium Roof Collapse in Enschede
I hope everyone is ok. That has to be terrifying.

Women's WC
Sweden beating the US the way they did was a shocker to me. Especially how Sweden looked so much faster to any loose ball. They wanted it more, and they got it. The US 2nd place prize... Brazil.

Liverpool's transfers
Because we'd like to see them get relegated? At least I would. ;)

Shame, I liked Charlie Adam. I can no longer...

Women's WC
Brazil is a tough road for both the USA and Sweden. I still think that if you neutralise Marta, Brazil can be beat. Germany did it in 2007 and I don't see much of a change for Brazil this go. Neurtalising Marta is easier said than done...

Women's WC
Germany looked very vulnerable against set pieces in the match against France last night. The zonal marking might be their only glaring weakness. Other than that, the giants definitely woke up unlike their first two matches. USA vs Sweden today, loser gets Brazil and probably an exit card out of the tournament. I expect England to have a rough go against France. Dehle (spelling?), the French striker, looks like she can create a lot of havoc. The best thing is to keep her out of the match.

Last Movie You Watched
Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels is one of my favourites. Absolutely brilliant movie. If you like that, check out Layer Cake. That's pretty good as well. As for me, I just saw Inception while I was away on business. Amazing movie, had me captured from the first minute until the end. Also saw Eagle (was ok), Sucker Punch (lame, but good eye candy), and Battle LA (was ok also).

Villas-Boas Live press Conference
Definitely lots of reason to be excited. Bring it on!

New manager
Slept on it, and even more excited than I was last night. I do hope this is a long-term hire. I see him doing well here. He'll get the respect of the players, one way or another. Bring on AVB and up the Chels!

RIP Ryan Dunn
A shame. One of the funnier folks on Jackass. RIP
