Just heard about this, he was probably the most mental of the lot of them. Quite ironic that after everything they did in Jackass he died in a car crash. RIP.

Him and Bam were fantastic together.

RIP Ryan :(

The one thing that disturbs me though: "Dunn had tweeted a picture of him and two friends drinking just hours before the high-speed crash occurred at approximately 3AM EST. The car caught fire, killing Dunn and his passenger."

I've seen the above mentioned on a few sites... I sincerely hope he didn't get behind the wheel drunk.

Yeah, the picture is all over the place. I can't help but feel that alcohol is involved, or at the very least, he was probably going way over the speed limit. Still, very sad about this, I love the Jackass guys, and Dunn was one of my favorites.

A lot of reports out here that he tweeted pics of himself and mate drinking shortly before he died, and then was poasting pics to facebook whilst driving. Shame, real shame as he was one of the genuinely nice blokes on the show.

I always said me and my mates could have made our own jackass in the past if we had camera's, so it was great to see these guys just having fun and making a living out of it.

Dunn was also really into upgrading cars, so i'm sure whatever he had was pretty quick.

Bam, and the entire Margerra family, will be devastated.

RIP Dunn, hope you kick God in the balls

Grew up watching CKY before Jackass and Bam and him were my idols in my teenage years! Haha. Its such a shame he had to go so young and and who ever the other person was my thoughts are with both of there families.

A real shame.

I've always wondered why it has to be the legends who pass away and not people in the sh*t tier...

He will be missed.

Still, doesn't exactly sound like a saint, drinking and driving? He's now dead because of this, and so is his mate, could easily have been more.

Still sad I know, but the guy was obviously a bit of an idiot.

If he wasn't drunk, then I'll hold my hands up.

There is no proof he was drunk other than a picture of him having a beer beforehand. I've read on the net he only had two muller lights but who knows.

Either way, its a sad loss!

Seems he was drunk. :(

Dunn was driving at twice the legal limit, with authorities saying toxicology results put his blood alcohol concentration at 0.196 percent, while the legal state limit is 0.08.

Yep, BAC was that high and they estimate he was going about 130-140 mph when he slid off the road. Sad that he's gone but definitely no one's fault but his own.

I always feel it's such a shame that idiots who get themselves (and usually others) killed, don't get to see what pain they've caused. In this case, 2 families are grieving. What a waste.

By calling him a legend I didn't mean he was a saint. Stupid? I can't argue with that! But he always put his health and even life on the line just to make people laugh and have a good time.

Of course there's also money involved but I wouldn't do half the stunts he did even if they gave me a couple of thousand quid for each stunt.

Ive read he had 6 drinks - 3 beers and 6 shots over a 4 hour period. Furthermore he was driving 130mph in a 55mph zone, was double the legal blood-alcohol limit and has a previous DUI conviction.

It's not so much a tragedy as an inevitability.

I dont care how many people he made laugh during his 'career' ( i myself was a huge CKY fan back in the day) but anyone who gets behind the wheel of a car (and with a passenger) after 3 beers and 3 shots is an irresponsible prick.

Agreed, just hope people who do/did idolise him learn from this or at least snap back to reality.

I'm sure people who admire/admired him (myself included) don't actually support what he did in any way.

Anyone who drinks and drives is an irresponsible prick, Dunn included. But I admired him for his stunts, not for what he did outside Jackass or CKY.

It's the same thing with people who admire or idolise musicians or actors/actresses who are druggies, drunks, murderers, etc. They aren't actually supporting what they did, they just admire them because of their work rather than their life out of the spotlight.

It's a real Jackass to die behind the wheel while drunk driving. But Ryan Dunn had a 30 year-old passenger named Zachary who was also killed. So instead of Mr. Dunn, I'll think of the families affected and then say something nice about Peter Falk or Clarence Clemons instead.
