Are We Really As Big As We Think We Are
I agree with those who think that we don't need much more. If Drogba and Lampard had left then something needed to be done. However, at the moment once you take away those three or four “untouchablesâ€, for want of a better word, like Kaka at Milan, Messi at Barca, Ronaldo at Man U, there isn’t much out there that would be an improvement on our first eleven.

What Does Euro08 Tell Us ?
That Ballack is the German player who covered more ground in every Germany game. According to this article from the Guardian Euro 08 stats prove it:

Our options seem to be diminishing !!
Don’t worry they have turned us down as well.

KENYON WANTS HUGHSIE !
I haven't been on here much lately, and I haven't had a chance to read through all the posts, but this from Callista I believe is the true picture. I have no faith whatsoever in the club's heirarchy to handle this situation smoothly, efficiently and with forethought. We really are becoming a joke. It's all a far cry from the days of Bates and Hutchinson, when we were THE TEAM in terms of managerial appointments and transfer dealings. As a bloke at work said to me the other day, "lets all laugh at Chelsea". Hard to argue with that at the moment. This time I’m inclined to believe the Club’s statement. It seems obvious to me that at moment, even more than other times, the tabloids haven’t got a clue about what’s going on at Chelsea. The speculations on the number and quality of people we have supposedly contacted and been turned down by are absolutely ridiculous.

KENYON WANTS HUGHSIE !
I find this statement a tad confusing. How are they “extremely happy how our search is progressing” if they haven’t sought permission to talk to anyone? Are they just browsing through Wikipedia?

Henk Ten Cate
Why is Kenyon a toad? The departure of Grant did not affect Ten Cate. It's the arrival of the new manager that's affected him.

NEW MANAGER - Who's your money on...
We are up to nine now: Hughes Lippi Hiddink Scolari Mancini Keane Eriksson Rijikaard Klinsman In the meantime from the Lancashire Telegraph "the decision process, which could last another 10 days as Roman Abramovic holidays on one of his yachts." Why management is always on holidays when there are major negotiations going on?

I’m surprised Martin O’ Neill’s name hasn’t appeared anywhere.

This absolute c..t of a ref
Some people in the office (non-Chelsea fans) were talking about a clear penalty on Malouda, I just don’t recall it. Anyone can confirm?

Roman CAN walk away...
If Roman is funding his own club through “loans” it has to be for tax or any other financial reason and not because when he walks away Chelsea has 18 month to pay back. So why didn’t the journalist look into that and inform, rather than go for the 1.5bn debt sensationalistic headline.

Roman CAN walk away...
Or else what? Bankrupt his own club so another millionaire can pick the “name” of a now global brand and Stamford Bridge (if not the whole company) for peanuts?

I meant to say any lead other than a three point lead. I was very glad to be proven wrong.

Barca v. Man U 1st Leg
I’ll give him some credit. No other manager has gone to the Nou Camp and shat himself in the amount Ferguson did.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea (1st Leg Anfield)
You have to admit we were lucky to come away from that match with a goal and the draw. Not that I'm complaining. After the last tow matches there in the CL we deserved some luck. Maybe we were luckier but as Loz pointed out there was a good element of luck in their goal as well, so I wouldn’t beat myself up over it (not that I would have, if their goal didn’t have an element of luck). The only thing I don’t agree with Loz is 'Terry’s poor clearance', in my opinion it was a solid header which sent the ball outside the box to an unmarked teammate, it was Lampard who messed up.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea (1st Leg Anfield)
Can anyone else confirm if the free kick was taken out of position. Is this also worth a whinge? Printed from the clip posted on this thread, it was very brief and probably wouldn’t have made any difference to Maka or maybe he would have landed on his feet and get in the way of Kuyt in some way.

Liverpool Vs Chelsea (1st Leg Anfield)
If I’m not wrong Avram has started all the recent away games with Malouda, therefore, he will stick with that and with the 4-3-3, so I’m expecting to see this line up: ...................Cech PauloBell.. Carvalho ...Terry ...Cole .................Maka .........Ballack ...Lampard Cole .....Drogba .....Malouda Or he might be extra careful and decides to start with two holding midfielders and one up front .....................Cech PauloBell ...Carvalho ...Terry ...Cole ..........Maka .........Mikel ...Cole .....Ballack .....Lampard ..............Drogba
