David Villa
€40mil for a 28 year old (who can’t outscore Forlan)? He can stay in Spain as far as I concerned.

Ancelotti
Ancelotti has left AC Milan, just heard it on Radio5.

FA Cup final MOTM
With five FA Cup medals in his cabinet, his name in the history books and Messi in his back pocket it has to be Cole.

FA Cup Final, Chelsea vs Everton, 30th May
Great day all around, the game, the win, the celebrations, the weather, shame about Guus leaving. I am sure after the Russia v Iceland game he will realise how boring it is to manage a national side compare to managing Chelsea and he will run back to us.

Let the Silly Season Begin
What has Pirlo done for the last couple of years? I don’t follow Italian games so I can’t say but the feeling out there seems to suggest “sod allâ€. Why compare Pirlo to Mikel or Maka? I thought the holding midfielder at Milan was Gattuso.

Let the Silly Season Begin
Will Ancelotti remember how to do that? He seems to have been working with players over 33 years old for sometime now.

Ancelotti
The fact that they were given to Inter who finished third and not AC Milan who finished second should mean something. Isn’t Ancelotti the man who deemed Zola surplus to requirement when he took over at Parma? Which gave us the chance to bring him over.

Barcelona line up £20m for Ashley Cole!?
If they give us a full back that can keep Ronaldo and Messi quiet the whole game and still find the time to whinge at the referee plus Messi they can have him.

Champions League Quarter/Semi Final Draw
This made me chuckle, I found it on Youtube in the Text Comments list to a Brian Clough clip in reply to someone else's comment: "Bloody hell. There's no football story yet written that a Scouser can't find something in it Liverpool-related to whine about. Don't tell me... you've also discovered that Pele had a Scouse grandmother?"

PL, Bin Dippers vs Chelsea, 01/02/09, 1600 GMT
We are lucky to be playing against Liverpool while they are going through a bit of a slump, so we should make this one count.

Chelsea's transfer window
This time I am at a complete loss when it comes to what the club is thinking about Scolari and why he wasn’t given any money to spend in January. Usually, after sifting through all that manure printed by the tabloids, you manage to get at least a rough idea of what the club is thinking/going to do, but this time I am clueless. Anyway, I am not buying that “balancing the books†malarkey or Roman’s losses in the recession, and I think it might come down to these three things: 1) The club is behind Scolari and they have a long term plan, therefore, there is no point in bringing in lower quality interim players when in the summer there is going to be a massive overhaul to get rid of the aging squad and let Scolari build the team he wants. 2) The club is not impressed with Scolari and therefore there is no point in bringing in any players the new manager will have to get rid of when he takes over in the summer. 3) The club has decided non to mess about with its finances as there is a massive due diligence going on while they get ready for the sale of the club.

PL, Chelsea vs Middlesbrough, 28/01/09, 1945 GMT
I saw the game on Football First and I didn’t think it was that bad, if anything I thought the second half was an improvement on lthe ast three or four games.

PL, Chelsea vs Middlesbrough, 28/01/09, 1945 GMT
Another game well within our capabilities and then the tough February starts. Again we should make this one count.

German Consortium to bid for Chelsea
He sued The Times for suggesting that he was looking to sell the club, what else does he need to say? As far as I can see, there is no offer, there is no buyer and there is no seller. There in only a poxy broker shooting his mouth off to gain some publicity.

FA, Chelsea vs Ipswich 24/01/09, 1500 GMT
Considering all the troubles we’ve been having, we’ve been lucky to get a run of three games against lower oppositions to help us get our affairs in order, so we should make today’s game count. I wonder if we are going to win any balls when defending corners today. We definitely didn’t win the ball on any of the corner against Southend and Stoke, I can’t remember if we did against Man U.

PL, Man U. vs Chelsea, 11/01/09, 1600 GMT
Blimey!! Didn’t we choose the wrong year to stop spending to strengthen our team. We look like a dying horse who needs to be put out of its misery. How can it be a “perfectly legit goal†if the linesman has the flag up and the referee has already blown the whistle before the ball got to Ronaldo?

PL, Everton vs Chelsea, 22/12/08, 2000 GMT
Usually a draw at Everton would be a decent result, but this time we have to win. We have to take this chance to go top, we’re not gonna get many more. I can’t believe that if we had performed better at home against the lower teams we would be three or four points clear at the top even after having lost to the rest of the so called top four.

BIG PHIL WILL GET HIS MAN
I think I heard he's lost his place in the starting XI as well.

Champions League - Last 16
Should be able to beat them but then again in the CL Juve have performed better than expected and we have been worse than expected. We will have to see what sort of form we’ll be in in February. Does anyone know when Essien is back?

CL, Chelsea vs Cluj , 09/12/08, 1945 GMT
That was a great goal, every touch every movement was perfect. If we'd scored a goal like that we would be going on about it forever. Although, I must say it only looked like a great goal once we went 2-1 up.

CL, Chelsea vs Cluj , 09/12/08, 1945 GMT
This team might not be good enough but a team with a fully fit Essien, fully fit Carvalho, fully fit Drogba and Lampard has a good chance.

CL, Chelsea vs Cluj , 09/12/08, 1945 GMT
Is this the type of game we should be farting about with a new formation? Only asking.

CL, Chelsea vs Cluj , 09/12/08, 1945 GMT
How did we manage to get into this mess? A must win game against a team that is going to park the bus in front of goal. Does it really matter if we finish top or runners up in the group? If we finish second and all the other English clubs finish top we will end up playing one of these teams: Juve, Pana/Inter, Lyon/Bayern, Barca with the addition of Villareal (Man U), Atletico Madrid (Liverpool) and Porto (Arsenal) if any of the other English clubs don’t top the group. If we finish top and the other English clubs finish second the choice will be limited to: Real, Pana/Inter, Lyon/Bayern, Sporting Lisbon, with the addition of Villareal (Man U), Atletico Madrid (Liverpool) and Porto (Arsenal) if any of the other English clubs top their group.
