  1. I have been to Ibrox 4 times actually. My uncle took me when I was younger in the Mark Hately and Ally McCoist days, he is a massive fan. It's not for me. Maybe you don't see it as much in England, but virtually all Rangers and Celtic fans I know over here are bitter in some shape or form. They try to patch it up as if its football rivalry, but its pretty much based on a religion if you ask me...all stems from that. You never see a catholic rangers fan, the same goes for a protestant celtic fan.. If you see a fella walking down the road in a ranger or celtic top, I would say 8 times out of 10 he will be a chav, trouble maker, etc..Thats how they are viewed here by a lot of people. A man walking in the wrong part of belfast with a rangers or celtic top on could easily get lynched. I know a lot of both, and most of them aren't the brightest spark.
  2. Where have you seen this information?
  3. From Sky Sports: "Carlo Ancelotti has stoked the flames ahead of Chelsea clash with Inter Milan claiming the whole of Italy want to see Jose Mourinho lose. Chelsea travel to Italy for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Inter with tensions resurfacing between Ancelotti and Mourinho. The pair have endured a strained relationship during their time against each other in Italy and Ancelotti's taunts will add further fuel to the fire. Mourinho has found himself unpopular among other Serie A coaches and also Italian football's authorities because of his outspoken behaviour and for that reason Ancelotti claims every neutral in Italy will be hoping his Chelsea side can beat Mourinho's Inter. Ancelotti told the Italian newspaper Il Giornale that thanks to Mourinho's behaviour "the whole of Italy, Inter fans excluded, will be supporting Chelsea" tomorrow night. Ancelotti also hit out at Mourinho for dismissing the achievements of his successors at Chelsea following the Portuguese's departure from Stamford Bridge. "It's true that after him (Mourinho) nobody has won anything for Chelsea, although some bloke called Grant didn't do so bad and came close with the Champions League final," added Ancelotti. "He is good at charging up the atmosphere and the team, but it's ground I would never go on."
  4. Tabloid nonsense. Although I can understand the appeal for Ashley to move elsewhere now, it makes sense. Lost the wife, she'll probably stay in the US, he'll go to Spain, love the high life and meet someone else.. Less pressure from our c**tish press.
  5. Very painful lump in the throat when this happened: Still gets me when I see it, Frank breaking down and the commentators efforts! Great night. I was also virtually speechless when we lost to penalties in the CL final. I honestly didnt speak the entire next day in work to anyone, at home, not even muttering under my breath.
  6. Completely agree and big respect to the Porto fan for taking the time to document that stuff, its incredibly accurate for the time of posting. I think that JM is a very ambitious man who wants to win the leagues in all the major places before taking on international teams. He is far too complex to sit in one place for years, he likes to move about. I would hat to see him at Man Utd, but for the previous reasons of moving about and being a controversial figure, I just hope that doesn't happen.
  7. Hope so, I like him! Just gets on with the job and stays out of trouble!
  8. I remember him stepping up against Barca, was some performance. Apart from that he is a liability! Very limited footballer

I love wearing the centenary shirt to games.. Its quite awesome
  10. If we score a goal and get a draw I will be quite happy. A win would be most pleasing. I would pick a line up of: Cech Ivanovic, Carv, JT , Zhrikov Ballack, Mikel, Lampard, Malouda Anelka Drogba

Well yes....but as an away kit, black is nice and evil!!! Better than yellow, its horrible.
  12. He's 22, backed by maradona to be the next big thing. Plays on the wing.. info: http://soccer-stats.irishtimes.com/?Lang=0...0&TEID=1123 Dont know much about him really..

I'm a huge fan of the black to be honest. We look so menacing in it!
  14. Scottish football is GRIM. Why put yourself through it? Not to mention that the vast majority of fans of Rangers and Celtic are following their team based on religious sectarianism.
  15. I have only started doing this, its a great idea! Good game, if we keep plugging away we will get a perfect 10 eventually!
  16. Heavy fine, good talking to, but support will be needed - we shouldnt kick a man when he is down, even if he has brought it on himself. He's gonna lose the wife. All self inflicted.

I love the 3rd kit. When do the mock-up designs usually start?
  19. Heard this as well, I really can't see that happening, but you never know. To be honest I hope it doesnt because I want the Mancs to know deep down we beat them to the race fair and square.
  20. YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSS GET IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :D :D
  21. Glad to see this to be honest.
  22. I remember recently having a heated conversation with a couple of mates (manure and lolpool fans). They were giving me grief abot drogba being a diver etc.. I stated that although he goes down easily and milks a lot of challeneges, he has never been booked for an outright dive. Unlike Rooney, Ronaldo and Gerrard. They didnt like this claim, I put it to them that there are youtube videos of each of these 3 guys getting booked on seperate incidents and i challenged them to find the same with drogba They couldnt. But I unerstand why people dislike him, he annoys me with the rolling about, especially if we are a goal down.
