Great signing for the bindippers, a top, top player. Good God he must be so pleased he has got out of Upton Park. Not sure how he fits in with Alonso, Sisoko and Ickle Stevie though.
  2. yep, i think ethical strategys team is right with the only questions being the full backs. i suspect it will be cole and geremi (but id prefer paulo and bridgey)
  3. ...and stopping ambulances with injured players from getting to the hospital
  4. Its not an issue if you are a season ticket holder as you are assured a ticket for the Carling Cup Final , in many ways the loyalty points for ST holders dont mean too much unless we get to a Cup Final where we only get allocated say 15000 tickets or something (God forbid!) Its just us mere Members that have to sweat it out!!!
  5. Ive just checked on the Offical site and it says 'Additionally this year, our members' Loyalty Point System means that even much sought after tickets, like Domestic Cup Finals and European Semi Finals and Final, will be available to those members with the most Loyalty Points over the course of the season' Ive worked mine out and its spot on, the only question is how have you got 160!!!! We've only had about 19 home games! Actually thinking about if i seem to recall the system works differently for members than for season ticket holders (why oh why did i give mine up? ) Either way youre a shoe in for Cardiff!!!
  6. I thought they were just worked out for the current seasons games ? Id expect to have a lot more if it goes back over time. If you got 140 Glory i suspect that gets you a seat in the dugout!
  7. Dont be silly, Barca have only won the European Cup twice. Theyve got no history and cant be taken seriously. Excuses ? Yes offensivley we were poor, but this was more to do with the midfields lack of quality on the day and (im loathe to say it) in some quarters lack of effort. And if you expect to be taken seriously when you call Cole 'flukey'.... We aint stupid we know the real tests are coming but we have every right to be bullish. We have had a dodgy few weeks and any comftable victories are welcome right no matter who the oppostion is. So give us as much grief as you want, its all water of a ducks back. After all this is coming from a set of fans who chanted 'Rafa is the Special One' a week after putting out THAT team in what might well turn out to have be the only competition Liverpool had a cat in hells chance of winning this season.

I thought the Forest fans going on about the European Cup wins (inflatable trophies et al) was a little bit pathetic. Sure the fans outsung ours, but so did Colchester, and im told so did Wycombe as im told so did Macclesfield. Id be stunned if any away fans didnt outsing our lot at SB these days. So why go on about it ? It shows just how far that club has fallen that we now lump them in with those teams as in having a big day out at a top football club bringing thousands of fans in fancy dress etc Forests next aways game is at Carlisle on Wednesday. Lets see how many of the 6000 that supported the former European Cup winners on Sunday make that trip...
  9. and just like id take your victory over us with a pinch of salt mate... dont get me wrong the win will be good for your confidence but your real test will be when you play one of the big three when they have a full strength team out so you can judge just how far behind you are.
  10. Its cold at the top of the mountain guys. We should take it as a compliment. And try to not let it get to us!
  11. Yep, a toughie - there must be a 'trick' element to it. Still thinking... In the meantime (and a bit easier) name a player who has played in all 4 Divisions in one season...
  12. I disagree. Sure we are having some favorable draws at the moment. But it all evens out. In my 25 years of being a fan our record of 'tough draws' stands up against anyone (though im sure all footy fans say that!) Remember its 3 years running we have been drawn with the Champions of Europe in the group stage of the CL!
  13. Man Utd got Reading at OT Arsenal/Bolton v Blackburn Fulham v Sperz dont really care about the rest
  14. Blackpool or Norwich at home thatll do.
  15. Nope, spot on. But we cannot pretend we dont have a few!
  16. Any home draw please.
  17. To be fair, this is a fact. It was Coventry I remember, i was there. We had Clive Allen and Andy Townsend sent off and lost 1-0. I think we had a crowd of 7000 for a Zenith Data Systems (or whatever it was in 1992) game against Southampton too. I remember a few days later we had Sheff Utd in the Cup and there was 32000 there! Sadly - another fact. Actually in that funny Birmingham game last week i thought they bought up all those empty seats quite a few times. But they are still 'the most passionate' fans in the land of course (ive always thought this was based on the amount of replica tops they wear) The only positive thing I can say about the BBCS coverage these days is that Peter Schimecal is no longer on it. Their coverage of the World Cup was a shambles. I almost emailed in to complain about Mark Lawreson after one game where he spent the whole 90 mins making fat jokes about Ronaldo. The same Ronaldo who became the top scorer in World Cup history. He is, quite simply a total muppet.

same thing happened last year. lets hope its the same outcome too 8)
  19. Mike, you have to login as if you are going to buy tickets and then go to 'my account' - at the top of the page you should see how many points you have. Ive currently got 29 - i suspect this makes me touch and go for Cardiff. If i had 30 i would fancy my chances a lot more. Im still going to make the trip down to queue - there is no way im going to put my trust in the online system.

Other than the Arsenal/Liverpool in 1988 the closest i can remember was in 1999 - the year Man Utd did the treble. Arsenal were two points behind with a better goal difference I seem to recall. Man Utd had Tottenham at home so amazingly Arsenal fans were cheering for Tottenham. Man Utd won 2-1 so it was all irrelevant. We finished 4th that year and i still maintain that we shouldve won it. Two draws , at home to Leicester and away to Wednesday cost us dear at a crucial stage. We lost Poyet on Boxing Day at the Dell for 3 months due to an awful challenge by some Morrocan - he was in top form and our top scorer, if we had held on to him it couldve made the difference. Man Utd did the treble that you and it was a stunning acheivemnt but everyone seems to forget just how close they came to winning nothing. The League was only decided on the last day, they survived a last minute missed penalty by Arsenal in the FA Cup semi and of course we all know what happened 'that night in Barcelona' (copyright Clive Tydlesley)
