Good songs by bands you hate...
Band : Muse - Uttlerley pompus overblown self indulgent rubbish from a band led by a egomaniac who sometimes has blue hair. Song : Time Is Running Out - good tune this though Band : Queen - I hate Queen. Always have, always will. Can i use the word pompus again ? Music for Mondeo drivers. Song : Flash - reminds me of being 8 years i old. And Princess Urua Band : Sterophonics - Quite simply the most average band every to have a number one album and play stadiums. So utterley dreary its unture , yet they think the are the embodiment or true rock n roll. The best thing about them was the fat drummer with big hair and they ended up sacking him. Song : Dakota - was amazed when i first heard it. A rare beacon of light in a dark, dark back alley though. Band : Take That Song : Patience - Quite clearly ive said too much.

The most disappointing Chelsea XI of all time...
I will never forget Zendens token effort at tracking back as Lauren scored Arsenals 3rd in the FA Cup Q/F in 2003. I never forgave him for that. Luckily he only played about 4 more games for us.

Paulo Ferreira - a Chappie or a Sharon Wood
Im a huge fan of Paulo Ferreria. I have said it before and i will say it again now, i wouldnt swap a confident on form Paulo for any other RB in world football. He has never recovered from being the fall guy in last seasons 'Gallas and Carvalho have to play syndrome' which was so unfair, primarally as he had done nothing wrong in the first place. In his first season Paulo was solid as a rock and played a huge part in why our defence broke as many records as it did. I am also going to say i think right now he is doing a sterling job for the club as a makeshift CB

The most disappointing Chelsea XI of all time...
Harsh that Mike i think. Gigi was a great player and was really starting to make his mark before Upton Park. I thnk putting Sheva and Ballack in there is too quick, after all i think its only fair to judge a players career at chelsea when their chelsea career is over and there is still a good chance both of them could become great players for us. so (remember Wises first season with us?) , with that in mind not quite a team but here are some players who spring to mind... Bosnich (waster) Del Horno Zenden (all down hill after the first 45 mins where he looked like Jarzinho) Veron Deschamps Laudrup Fleck (more goals at SB for Norwich than Chelsea) Sutton (never stood a chance to be fair) obviously a lot of the players are from the last 10 years or so, that is clearly because we expect so much more from our players now, whereas in 1982 or whenever we just knew there was a good chance they were going to be sh*te.

Chelsea's best ever transfer signing?
I dont think the signing of Glenn Hoddle as player/manager can ever be underestimated. It was totally unlike Chelsea to go for someone like that at the time. Young, fresh and full of ideas. Under Glenda we may not have progressed too much as a team but as a club we made our first steps to where we are today. And without doubt - no Hoddle - no Gullit. He may have had a lot of sh*t over the years but Hoddle will always have a place in my Chelsea heart. Cant see past Fleck myself. Followed by Sutton, then Veron. In terms of value for money SWP and Sheva are currently trying their best to match them it has to be said.

I've had enough
I think the next logical step is for us all to agree that Tim is a big fat stupid and move on.

The Maccelsfield goal
I know what you are getting at. However , I think we should move on from picking out errors of players that play for our team and comparing them to players that dont for our team anymore.

I've had enough
C'mon Loz - its rank! Dont kid yourself. Self indulgent rubbish. From a truly masterful band too. Back on subject. The more i think about last nights performance the more it annoys me. I dont care about the injuires, the suspension and the players out of position, and im appalled Jose has used these as excuses. The players we sent out cost over 100 million, i doubt any of them earn less than 25k a week. I suspect Ballack has earned more all ready this week than the Wycombe team cost combined. 17 years ago in the very same stage of the same competition Chelsea had one of the most disapointing results in their history. Remember , we had gone 20 years without wining anything and suddenly here we were in a semi-final (yes, a semi-final!!) but more to the point against a team from a lower division. Two games later , a 5-1 aggregate score later and two outplayed matches later it was all over. We were sh*te. However at least the players tried. Last night, we were sh*te and i could name 5 or 6 who didnt break sweat. I find this unexcusable. But have i had enough? Have i f**k. This is what being a Chelsea fan is all about. The good times and the 'bad times'. And i can assure you all. these are not bad times.

I've had enough
Those who were there back in the 70s or in my case the 80s will never forget how bad it was. Dale Jasper, Les Fridge, Oxford away, Save the Bridge, The Chelsea Collection etc Basically, I think we have been spolit over the last decade. I will never take our current situation for granted however frustrating it may be. Its like when 'The Second Coming' came out. For so long i wanted to love it and pretended it was genius. And told everyone that they were missing the point and it was a bona fide classic. But then i just had to face reality.

Wycombe [A] - Carling Cup Semi - Final 1st Leg
I think im gonna give it a go loz. Could be fun I dont think i can remember a chelsea game where so many players have been so bad. First of, Paulo and Essien are above the law. Paulo is doing a sterling job for the club right now and however bad he may play should not take any critisicm, ditto Essien - it may have been his error for the goal but to point a finger is , well pointless. Like having a pop at a leccy for f**king up your plumbing. So, Bridgey was ok. Just ok, Not brilliant. Good goal. He gets a 5. Unlike some others on here i thought Mikel was tidy too. 5 again. Other than that fellas im really struggling. Geremi ? Simply awful. 3 Ashley Cole. Poor 4. Maka - wel that was the Maka of his first season. Crap. Dare i say it he wont be missed for the trip to 'fortress Anfield'. 4 Kalou - Seriously now i didnt hear his name mentioned in the 2nd half. 3 SWP - a new low. Almost undescribably bad. 2 Anyone else ? Ah yes. Step forward Michael Ballack. Now ive supported Chelsea a long time now and ive seen my fair share of crap. But what ive learnt is that if a players gives his best you cant ask a lot more. Sure when plays are rubbish it annoys me, particulary players with big reputations like SWP and Shev (for example) but if they work hard it isnt so bad. With our 'untouchable' German captain we seem to be getting neither. Right now he is the definition of coasting. Which as a paying fan i think is a total disgrace. A game like last night he shouldlve had by the scruff of the neck As has already been said he isnt fit to wear the shirt. 1

Wycombe [A] - Carling Cup Semi - Final 1st Leg
No it would be the trip to 'fortress Anfield', bearing that in mind Makalele might not play. I dont think we have any choice but to play Paulo. I got it from the BBC. So yes, it could well be bollocks. Apologies if so. However i stick by my XI.

Wycombe [A] - Carling Cup Semi - Final 1st Leg
Squad announced. Remember Carvalho and Drogba suspended. JT and Robben not yet ready. No idea what has happened to Carlos 'groin strain' and Boulha and Joe Cole have long termers. Chelsea (from): Hilario, Hedman, Ferreira, Geremi, A Cole, Bridge, Essien, Diarra, Obi, Lampard, Makelele, Ballack, Shevchenko, Wright-Phillips, Kalou, Morais. Woods. I presume Paulo will play CB but with who ? Essien i suspect. It may be Wycombe but expect a few hairy moments back there. I would like to see the kids again but considering the condition of our defence i doubt too many risks will be taken , particulary in the 1st leg. I go.. ____________ Hillario Geremi Paulo Essien Bridge Makalele Mikel Lampard SWP Shev Kalou _____________ Subs : Hedman, Cole, Ballack, Diarra, Woods

The Maccelsfield goal
Moving back onto topic i have to say i think you are being particulary harsh on Riccy just. He slipped on Saturday, in awful conditions. Not a lot he could do about that. Now i take your words about Gallas being more accomplished but im not sure why you bought him into it - hes gone. We should move on. And anyway lets not pretend that he was the perfect defender and wasnt capable of the odd howler or two. Riccy is doing a sterling job at the moment for me. We should be applauding him.
