I just saw his interview. He didn't have a bad word to say about the club and expressed sympathy for Ancelotti. Looks like he wants the job but was adamant that nobody from Chelsea has approached him. Ferguson looked like he was drunk during his interview (big surprise) and had only good words to say - stuttered though they were.

Could you do us a favour and let Torres score a hat-trick to get him going? :D

Exactly there wasn't much story to it at all. The original Alien scared the living sh*t out of me when I first saw it, can't say another movie was quit as effective since and it was disappointed to see the concept dragged to the depths it has been. Does anyone remember in the original Alien where they find the eggs? That looked somewhat like the Predator ship in Pred 2 if you ask me. They could have run with that anyway!

I haven't personally seen enough of either of them to make a judgement. The main complaint the Leicester fans had was he went forward and stayed in an advanced position which leave the left flank extremely exposed. Clearly this isn't good enough for a left back in the prem.

I was just on Leicester's forums to get the consensus on him. They seem to think his attacking threat is potentially world class when he bombs forward from the left but his defending leaves a lot to be desired. They seemed to agree that should they secure his loan again he should be used as a winger rather than a left back. Hopefully his defensive discipline can be taught though. Lots of comparisons to A.Cole.

They don't speak since he took over at Porto. I think they have a personal rivalry going on now with AVB breaking Mourinho's records at Porto.

The only pro to Redknap would be watching Roman go terminator on him after his first month.

Josh isn't ready to play in the starting 11 against Champions League and the tougher Premier League sides. I'd certainly use him in the Carling Cup and FA cup early rounds though. He's also excellent to have as injury cover and we should be using a squad rotation anyway.

What I choose to remember, and whats real, aren't necessarily the same thing.

deg0ey, thanks for directing us to that blog earlier in another thread - its really excellent. That article enlightened me on what sort of manager we can expect from van Basten as personally I had no idea what he would be like. My personal favourite is still AVB but van Basten's style seems to suggest the arse kicking this club currently needs.

Oh his appointment was conditional on Hiddink, thats different and could work I suppose. Villas-Boas however is exactly the breath of fresh air we need I feel. Mourinho was equally inexperienced in 2005 (except winning the CL) and AVB has broken all his records except for the CL which he has yet to attempt. The guys record so far is simply astonishing. He took some relegation fodder club (in a points position Portsmouth were in 2 seasons ago) and took them to a mid table finish. He transformed Porto into an unbeaten juggernaut winning a quadruple in one season with fairly average players. There are reasons he's compared with Mourinho.

You've probably all heard it: I've spent the whole evening trying to figure out what it is. Appears to be completely off the grid production stuff, but so help me, I will find it.

I just wish Carlo was an asshole or something so I didn't feel so guilty. I feel bad about the way he lost his job, he looked forlorn and almost ashamed. Doesn't deserve to end like that, I'll always remember him for the double; this season never happened in my memory as of now. But the truth is this season was just too poor to overlook. Had we not had that atrocious run mid season we would have walked the league. To be outfoxed and played off the park by United in 2 CL ties and our Prem decider is unacceptable. No tactical solutions to a very weak United side is surely a fundamental issue we needed to consider. So his tactics left a lot to be desired, his selections were suspect and he couldn't motivate the troops. Thats why he was sacked. I don't agree with how we sacked him however, he deserved better than that. Lets hope we can look forward to a new Chelsea next season and recapture the glories of 2005. I'll remember Carlo's reign as the last hurrah for Mourinho's squad.
