Card counting at blackjack is cheating at blackjack. Diving or feigning injury in football is cheating at football. Don't pretend its something it isn't.

Seen a lot of Neymar but the defending in his league is seriously inconsistent. I've seen goalkeepers drop balls and let them roll into goal, other times they're pretty solid. However his talent is unquestionably good, he looks a world apart from anyone else I've seen him play with or against. Lukaku haven't seen much of and of course seen plenty of Aguero. All that said, what bothers me most about Sturridge is he seems to expect to be our regular first choice starter. He does need to earn it, but he should be given the opportunity.

My hint is it'll be in the last place you look! :P On the article: Brilliant read again, though I do agree with the premise that English academies are at a disadvantage over playing time restrictions. The fact that our youth prospects are being sold on is a good sign to me in some ways. These people were deemed surplus to requirements or simply not good enough for our first team and moved on. However, they are making names for themselves in other teams which promotes the growing strength of our academy and improves the sport as a whole. The everpresent danger with these things is selling the wrong talent on too early, only to watch him become a superstar with somebody else, al la Rossi.

Maybe thats the punishment for the "bad moment".

See I can't figure out how this is going to work at all. Torres traditionally works best as a lone striker with a number 10 behind him, and some wingers. I've never really seen him used in a strike partnership. It hasn't worked with any of our current forwards and I can't see any reason for it to work with Sturridge based on that evidence. So that means, we'll have to play 433 with 2 wingers and Torres between them, or variations of 451. Either way somebody is going to be unhappy if Sturridge can't play wide, which people seem to insist he can't. Neymar can play in any forward role, winger/no.10/striker etc, as can Aguero (hypothetical links permitting). Lukaku can only play as a striker as far as I'm aware but like Drogba has no qualms about partnerships or wingers around him. There will be clear issues if nobody is going to be happy about time on the bench, and I can't see that person being Torres unless he turns out to be an epic flop after the preseason.

I agree he looks very raw but his technique is pretty good, and he seems to have the predatory instinct around goal. I've seen him knock defenders flying, he's even stronger than Drogba. It really is quite hilarious watching centre backs trying to knock him off the ball and hitting a brick wall. With his sheer strength at 18 years old, all he needs to be able to do is keep the ball and shoot to become a marginally successful striker. Drogba is no doubt the best man in the business to teach him the technique he'll need to excel as a brute force striker though. I'd pay just to deploy him against Barca to watch him steamroll Pique and Puyol! What I like about him is his realism and work ethic. His coaches say that he works extremely hard to improve himself and his own quotes have shown that he wouldn't expect to walk into a starting 11 at his first break in a big team. He realises the need to earn your place in a team.
