In any case, he should have been booked and sent off far more often than he did. In his prime he was ok, but not as good as the English media wants us to believe.

I think he was a good player, but if someone asked me to name a complete footballer, he wouldn't be among the players that I'd think of.

He can't have mistimed that many tackles, he was just a bully. Weighing him on pure talent though, he was a very good player and they'll find him hard to replace.

At the end of Saturday's match five Barca players went over to Scholes to get his shirt. I think Iniesta got it in the end. Not a bad tribute.

I guess you could consider that a skill in itself - being able to get away with tackles like that for so long and to convince people that you don't really mean it; I can't think of anybody else that's come close.
