I'd vote Drogba just for the two occasions when he tracked back and did smash'n'grab raids on Atletico players, who were dawdling on the ball in midfield. It was a question of: "Where the f*ck did that come from!" He also made some storming defensive headers from their set pieces. We're becoming a two-headed monster with The Bison and Drog in this sort of form.

Ballack's only just come back into the side and looks like he needs the playing time rather than a rest.

I think Ivanovic will relish the physical challenge. Blackburn bossed it over Burnley with their strength but at least they won't have Franco to hold the ball up and pose an aerial threat at set pieces. Joey Cole has to feature at some point and I'd love to see Studge get more than 10 minutes.

I agree, but at least the games they'll probably miss are only Hull, Sunderland, Birmingham and Burnley (the last one away perhaps being trickiest). Hopefully the likes of Sturridge, Borini and Mikel will be on song by then.

I thought Belletti rolled back the years, always eager for the ball and did some nice roughing up when necessary (some of it gratuitous). In this form he's a far better option than Ivan as right-back cover for Bos.

25 mins gone in the Lancashire derby and he's already created one goal with a lovely lay-off, and scored with an easy header, following a mix up in the Burnley defence. Let's hope his first English goal gives him the confidence to go on to greater things with us in January.

I'd agree with that. I thought our commitment and creativity was good for large parts of the game. We understandably lost some impetus when Ivanovic came on, and I'd like to have seen Sturridge given a chance. Deco, after a stuttering start, played soem great passes. JT for me though.

Doesn't sound like he's ready for the step up in class. We've got tough games, like Burnley away, during the ACN and he sounds a bit lightweight for that.

I think Deco will track back and put his foot in when he has to. He's no wimp.

The guy's simply not a striker. If anything he should play as an out and out winger, but we don't use wingers, so he should go asap. Mind you, if Wenger sees something we don't, then perhaps it's best to let Roma have him.

Some reports are saying Borini looked lightweight against QPR. Hopefully he'll have plenty of time to beef up over the next year or so. Would still like to see him on the bench at Wigan though. In the 10 mins he had against Spuds, I thought he took up some intelligent and instinctive positions.

They'll probably sue the Davenports for blunting their blades. There was an 85-year-old woman arrested not so long ago, when some scroat tried to climb in through the window of her bungalow. The glass fell in, seriously lacerating him, and HE sued HER! The old bill arrested him and her at the scene and she was facing a long ordeal in court. The law is surreal.

Carlo was quoted with saying this after the match: "I made changes because I have good quality players and a lot of matches, and I want to keep players fresh and in good condition.†It seems to me to be a bit early to be making changes based on keeping players fresh. Maybe it's more about keeping a big squad of stars happy. I really hope he doesn't follow Rafa's example with Torres and start resting Drogba. He's such a confidence player, plus he needs to build an understanding with his strike partner. Having said that, I'd love to see Studge as a starter! I think he'll become a huge star for us and England.
