only option for this one was drogba, first game back into the UCL and gets a double. Here's hoping he gets a couple more in the weekend

Didier. Everyone else was pretty sh*te. Big step up needed for Sunday. Am sure we'll get it though.

Has to be Drogba.

I'm not so disappointed with the result. We have qualified and we only got out of second gear when we went behind. It cost us ultimately because of the late goal from Aguero but we did just enough.

I had made up my mind to give it to Alex, who was nearly impeccable, especially in the first half, but those two goals made me change my mind. Well done, DD !

Drogs, no question. Very disappointed with the performance tonight by the whole team, and apart from Didier, Alex was the only player who stood out.

First half I was thinking Alex was having a good game but by the end only one winner, Drogba,

good showing from Aguero and I am pleased he never started.

Only one outstanding performance today...

From the Ivory Coast.

SOOOLLLLLLOOOOOMMMMMAAAAANNNNNNNN...

(bet you werent expecting that.)

DROGBA! I believe Pauly once referred to him as a 'farmer', or something. The way he tucked it between the legs of the second defender for that second goal showed the control of Henry at his best. And Drogba is only a year younger! Talk about a late bloomer.

Same for me Drogs and Alex.

I've actually decided to vote for Alex as he has been out for a good spell and yet he still looked the most composed of our back four.

Alex was our only player who played well I thought, yes didier scored two but generally his game wasn't in full gear , though playing alongside Kalou obviously hindered him and understandably so.

Can only be Drogba for me.

Thought he was outstanding all night both coming back defensively and up front.

Also thought Essien had a very good game whilst he was on but glad he came off as a red card was looking an almost certainty.

I'd vote Drogba just for the two occasions when he tracked back and did smash'n'grab raids on Atletico players, who were dawdling on the ball in midfield. It was a question of: "Where the f*ck did that come from!"

He also made some storming defensive headers from their set pieces. We're becoming a two-headed monster with The Bison and Drog in this sort of form.

Drogba for me, easily our best player. though i thought malouda was pretty good, especially in the first half. and did anyone hear that dogging, wife beating tosser collymore on monday? apparently drogba isnt in the top 3 strikers in the prem because he never scores match winning goals apparently. how about now you f**king mug....

dkw, good call on Florent. He faded as the match went on, but in the first half their were a couple of very classy moments of close control which sparked decent attacks. I didn't know he had that sort of skill in him!

Re Collymore. The 'man' just embarrasses himself further with comments like that. Perhaps someone would like to show him Didier's stunning goal against his beloved Dippers a couple of seasons back, or many many of the other match winning goals before and since then.

Fool.

Don't know why I listen to TalkSport so much. I reckon they have a meeting every day to come up with topics that will just wind all the fans up and get eveyone phoning in. Yesterday it was that twat Durham going on about how we've bought success and can never be one of the "Elite".To be fair, they do it with Arsenal and the Dippers just as mush as they do us.

But Collymore - what a knob that guy is. If he bothered to look at Drogba's record he'd see just how wrong he was. How many goals has he scored at Wembley / Cardiff? And whereas a lot of players will get loads of goals against teams like Burnley, Wolves, West Brom etc, I'm sure Drogba has scored most goals against Arsenal, closely followed by Liverp**l.

Hope someone bothered to put him straight.
