The press are quoting the tranfer fee to be around £32 million,is this true?,because I thought we were told to cough up in the region of £45 mill for him?. If true (if),then that would prove beyond doubt that there is one price for Premier League clubs & another for everyone else!. Can't really see any point in the future trying to deal with F.C. Porto or anyone else who share's that belief, to be honest. Shame really,I think he would have enjoyed playing here at the Bridge.

Great pictures lads & thanks for posting them. Looking at Lofty's picture of the old bill standing around the raised platform,in a rather tidy looking Shed, made me think of a couple of long forgotten memories. Firstly,(as it's been so long),how unyielding those barriers were.There can't be many old school supporters who haven't felt a touch of 'panic' when crushed against one of those fecking lethal things!. Solid they look & solid they were. And on a lighter note,looking at the terrace,in a big game,did you ever stand on you're favourite 'spot' with a good view,only to have a 6' 2" tall bar steward stand right in front of you 2 mins before kick off?............Bollocks!. You no the scene,it's a sell out so it's to late to find somewhere better, so it's a case of stick it out or take a gamble?. Lost count of the amount of times I watched a game through some tall bar stewards armpit!. Better barriers aside,I'd bring it back in a heartbeat.

Just harmless fun really,but have you ever watched a footballer/manager or so & thought......he remind's me of someone or something?.........I know I have. For example,before he retired,whenever I saw Arsenal assistant Pat Rice sitting next to Wenger,such was his resemblence to Elton John,I often found myself humming "I'm still standing" or "Candle in the wind" or some such Elton drivel. How about Michael Ballack & Matt Damon?.....they could be twins, but only one's a great actor paid millions to throw himself around pretending to be hurt........the other is Matt Damon,(only kidding). Even big 'ol Phil Scolari is a dead ringer for Gene Hackman. Andy Caroll plays his football disguised as an '80's porn star,(so I've been told as I'm way to young & innocent to know). Luis Suarez is a dead ringer for a donkey, (sorry to donkeys everywhere). Our own Butch Wilkins now resembles uncle Fester. And Rio Ferdinand,as always,resembles a steaming pile of horse sh*t. There must be more though, isn't there?.

There aren't many CFC supporters in the East London/Essex border that's for sure.......but there are some. Back in the soggy month of June,I was in the local Tosco's with the misses,while wearing my Chelsea raincoat. I soon became aware of this geezer giving me 'looks', nothing unusal there really,but,this fella was one giant motherfecker,he made a brick sh*thouse look timid!. "Hello" I thought,what's this all about?.Then as she's down the asle looking for frozen chips this fella drops his bag of frozen peas & comes striding towards me!. "Bollocks" I think,so while keeping my eyes fixed on him,I'm groping around the trolly for anything 'solid' to whack him with!. As he aproaches I'm thinking 'here we go' then he stops,reaches a plate sized hand forward,moves the jacket zip to one side & checks out the CFC crest?. He then says...."just wanted to be sure,f**king brillant wasn't it!" (the CL final),before shaking me firmly by the hand...........instead of the throat!. What followed was 10mins of CFC fan/man love much to the other half's bemusment ("what the hell was that about" ? she asked). Women eh?. Never had the nerve to tell him that I was about to lamp him with what turned out to be a 10 pack of Captain Birdseye's Omega rich fish fingers .

To be honest mate,not being comparable is the main point.He offers us the option of a different aproach when the current one isn't working. Carroll has struggled to show his quality,no doubt,but I also think at times, the same could be said of Danny. Different clubs,different managers,yet Studge still seams to feel hard done by,all at the grand old age of 22. Just maybe, a move would be good for him & a swap for Carroll might be good for us. In all other respects,Liverpool can go f**k themselves.

Great picture,you can even see Ken's electric 'cattle' wire on the top of the fencing. Loved the geezer for firstly saving the club & then, fighting all comers for the sake of it's future. But,being older & wiser, I know realise it was mostly all about Ken. He really did 'hate' all that questioned him & as some of those questions came from the fans,it is logical to guess,in his mind, that it would be those who would be the first to suffer. Then as now,I f**king hated that 'electric' fence,sounds like an idea from a concentration camp,where all are 'Judged'. If today, I could ask him one question only,it would be just what the f**k were you thinking?....after all,there's kids in there,not all are looking for a tear-up. I sometimes wonder, by turning the Shed into todays,small,castrated, shadow of it's former self, was it his final act of vengence?.

If Andy Carroll is fully up to the idea of leaving the dippers for any other club other than Newcastle,then i'd be happy to do a swap deal for Danny. A plan B if ever I saw one (if you remember the F.A. cup final) & when he's 'on' his game,a real handfull for centre halfs. Thank f*ck Barca didn't have a player like him In the CL Semi's or I doubt we would be Champions of Europe. We already have precision,why not a battering ram?.

Do you think there are players who have wasted their God given talents.........? Maybe for a variety of reasons.......? For example,do you think older players like Frank Worthington & our own Alan Hudson, wasted their talents for the love of the good life?. Did George Best become more of a legend because of it?. Has Rooney blown it?.(we know he likes to get 'blown',by old ladies). Did the very talented Joe Cole waste his talents by allowing Jose to 'coach' it out of him,for the good of the team? Did Matt Le Tisser waste his chances of medals because of loyalty to Southampton?. Does it matter now? or is it best to regret what you've done rather than what you haven't?. Have I used to many question marks??.

From a pure 'fantasy' perspective & in no way a reflection of today's squad or players who are actually avaliable,etc. I wouldn't mind adding Benzema/Falcao & Hulk to our present squad. Gives me goose pimples just thinking about it. World domination awaits!.

Just where are todays Premier League hard men?. You know,the guys that perfected the art of getting 'their late tackles in early'?. Is the art of tackling a thing of the past?,do you think rightly so, maybe?. Perhaps its a good thing after all,but a good, hard but fair, well timed tackle, perfected by football's hard players, seams to be missing from today's game. Maybe,the art of tackling should be compulsory for coaches taking their pro badges?. What do you think......?

Do you think Robbie ( or any other manager for that fact), should have total control over senior players transfered into & out of the club he manages?. Is it a case of: A= Yes,because his & his choices alone reflect his beliefs in how his team should play?,after all,that's why he was appointed?. B=No,because a good manager can work with any good quality player that the 'club' buys & in truth, the board may not trust the 'numpty' not to sign up his mates for a cut of the transfer?. C=Who cares?,the X factor's on in a minute. D=Other. I wonder if the real reason international canine banking expert harry redknapp was given the elbow at spuds, was because he liked a 'cut' of the action,much to Levy's horror,(& beyond his control). Maybe todays Director of Football position has evolved because managers & their agent chums just can't be trusted anymore?. Who knows really?, but what do you think is the best way?..............

The only way away fans should be in the Shed is either for a tear-up,or to pick up the rubbish. In my opinion,it reflects badly on all CFC's history & all we stand for that they are allowed to do so. Still,it's a modern age,times change & when all is said and done,what do I know.

I'd be more then happy to vote for Eden just for the way he turned Ramis in midfield & laid on the pass for Ivan to score........football at its simple,skillfull best. But considering the pressure of the media,fans & the Wigan cloggers,I think he did pretty well in his first Premier League game to be honest.

This is a tricky question because it happend a long time ago,when I was a innocent lad & before I discoverd the 'pleasure' of women............. I remember getting 'into' football mostly because of the '78 World cup starring Mario Kempes and all that ticky tape stuff from the fans on the terracing,which was shown at that time on the BBC (in black & white for me),which was fantastic and really amazing for a 10 year old. Mind you,watching 'Pot Black' was a bit sh*t though. Supporting Chelsea however?....well unfortunatly that comes from sibbling rivalry,I didn't get on to well with the older bruv at the time,so there was no way I was going to follow him by supporting our local league club,which was West Ham at the time. No,no way....it had to be local(ish),not a big time charlie side & have a foreign 'star' because they are so much better than british ones!. So in a nutshell,I've no idea how I came to support Chelsea really........... But even through the clubs dark periods,I'm bloody glad I did.

Life comes with few certanties, that's for sure. But I'll wager after 'his' club's latest balls-up, in a long line of embarrassing moments,Q.P.Arse owner Tony Fernadez didn't wake up this morning thinking......"Hmm,that was a few million quid well spent!".

Embarrased to be a Chelsea fan?,no, never have been or will I ever be. And it will never matter about the size of the turnout either. In fact,if anyone asks what team I support then (as long as the other half is safe), then I'm proud & happy to tell them. As a so called Man City fan asked the question, then i'd say to him, I would be much more embarrassed to support a 'star' player who f**ked off to play golf for six months just when his club needed him most. I'd be embarrased to have a gobsh*te like the Oasis chap who likes to have a dig at 'cockneys',(the man really has no idea what a cockney is), while he lives in Berkshire. Maybe he keeps in touch with that other manc f**kwit, liam, who lives in Hamstead. Embarrassed to support Chelsea?,never..............have a good, long look at yourself.
