  1. A message to any CFC pro who visits this forum............could I please, please borrow a Chelsea kit.
  2. Brighton's an unusal place isn't it?. A few years back I went to Brighton with an old girlfriend for a long weekend break, (ie, a hopefull shagfest) & it's the only place I've ever been to where in the morning you can see a Apache attack helicopter flying low above the beach followed in the afternoon, by the sight of 2 middle aged, overwieght, bald guys skipping down the road while holding hands!. You don't see either to often in east London that's for sure. Mind you,the Apache helicopter might just come in handy.
  3. Belive it or not,I'd love you to be proven correct. A successfull Torres means a successfull Chelsea & inspite of anything, that's ALL that matters really. However, after watching football & the many different types of football players over the last 3 decades,I think i've learned to reconise a charlatan when i see one. I wanted to see Torres sign for us,but that was the Nando of old & certainly not this new incarnation. We'll just have to see how it works out, won't we?.
  4. To be absolutely honest with you............nobody, really
  5. I see you're point about Messi (not so much Ronaldo), but it's worth keeping in mind a couple of things. Firstly, the speed in which we as a team move the ball forward, would stifle Messi. To such a degree,I think he would resort to picking the ball directly from cech himself. Secondly,I know it's seen as a cliche, but if we played Messi as a lone striker upfront, many lesser PL teams would target him in a way that would reduce his playing career by at least 3 years in my opinion. Harsh I know, but a Premier League reality I'm affraid. Still would love to see him hear though!.
  6. Mike,excellent choice sir,this is Chelsea's best badge ever,just quality.It's a real shame we haven't got it now.
  7. Now,don't go nuts,it's not my fault, but I was asked by a wise old sage, if given the chance,no matter who or what contract/club they had just signed for.........If I could, would I swap Torres for ANY player in the world,(assuming a striker), or am i happy to keep him?. Ok, admittedly,I was complaining at the time I think he's a tad mentally weak & that if he's our main striker next year then I think we're in trouble. I might have implied that you know when a plane carrying the Chelsea team has landed, because you can still hear Nando whining after the engines have stopped..............but even so!. Thing is though,if I'd answerd yes, then that mean's I'd be glad to swap him for another player and that in my opinion,he's not up to the challenge of leading Chelsea's front line. If no,then obviously he's fit to be the main man.........it's a tough question?. I know my answer...........but what's yours?.
  8. Should be a good 'European' style match.Hopfully with a good display & injury free (touch wood). Will be great to see our old 'Gaffer' Carlo on the sidelines again.
  9. Proof at last!...........I always suspected those pesky airlines fellows never told the truth about the dangers of flying & DVT.
  10. Well,Kevin Keegan can shove his bottle of Brute up his arse, sideways, the scouse loving wan.....err,hang on,I've misread the thread again!. Of course you're talking about modern pro's.Well,in that case............ 4.Joey Barton.Known more for talking sh*te than his football ability, what a waste of talent. 3.Robbie Fowler.A total c**t & a total scouse c**t at that, what could be worse?,'nuff said really. 2.Stephen Hunt.Likes a hard tackle (which is good) but not in a fair 50-50 ball,(which is bad), prefers to stick the boot in when the other player is at a disadvantage. The utter coward. 1.William Gallas.A traiter & a football whore who thinks nothing of pimping himself around all of London's top clubs for the right payment,(West Ham won't have to worry then). The guy's a bit of a 'jonah' too, as every club he's rolled into after CFC,has always come up a bit short in the character department after he joins. I can't think where they get that from.
  11. Sorry geez,I mis-interpeted your post & thought you were on a wind up!,I'm only human so I'll blame the computer for the feck-up. Might be a good idea for a new thread though, (not mis-reading replies) but name a team of European medal winners who were 'skillfully challenged'?,i.e. bloody useless.
  12. I know he did & well done to him for that. But I also watched him play for chelsea & thought buy & large,he was bloody hopless. So what's your point?.
  13. Christ, even the term w**ker is banned now.
  14. All things considerd, maybe Clarke should have done a programme on the dangers of rich sportsman,(black or white) & drink driving?.
  15. While I get the fact that he needs to ingratiate himself with the spuds scumbags, his needless & rather childish comments prove beyond doubt why he was rightly sacked & also point to the fact that he appears to have learned sweet FA about his own personal failings. The man's an utter w**ker.
  16. It's totally wrong to betray you're family/loved one's trust. No excuses allowed. If guilty, you deserve a slap,no question. But women have been using their sexuality for their own gain for centuries,it's nothing new, look at Peter Crouch. If it wasn't for football, the geezer would still be pulling his pud. If as a single guy, you're paid thousands to keep fit & play football & young ladies want to throw themselves at you, then why not indulge?. Honestly, who ever heard of anybody moaning on their deathbed that thay sh*gged to many babes?* *(I know I won't).** ** (that's a joke, sadly).
  17. Would love to see Rangers in the English leagues, you'd be welcome by many in my opinion.Something fresh & a great challenge for all. However, with Scotland's political elite pushing for an independent Scotland,I just can't see it being allowed to happen. For all the anti-Gers bullsh*t,could you ever imagine a Scottish sporting icon registered as a English Premier league side?.Alex Salmond & his cronies would sh*t a brick.
  18. Watching that clip makes me ponder a couple of questions. How the f*ck did deadly doug ever become a pro footballer?,I mean really, after another fubar.....what the hell.Watching that,I still have hope. And looking at that mud patch of a pitch, did it cost us points, or is it a truth, that the real quality players can show their skills on any surface?.
  19. Thanks for that link, when you read it,it shows in a nutshell the attitude of the 'powers that be'. They seam unable to differenciate the difference (& importance),between poor refereeing, to an inanimate object like a football, crossing (or not), a chaulked white line. Fans can, mostly, understand why match officials do or do not book/send off a player for an offence conducted during a hectic game & also fail to award correct offsides etc.But as goals are the number 1 aim of the game, what's their problem with a system that will help them get it right?.
  20. Maybe it would suit Mike to play in a league that's easier on the knee injuries he has?. Would the French League suit him?. If Josh McEachran were to be given his place in the squad, then as a token of grattitude for all he's done for CFC,I'd be happy to let him go on a free.
  21. Bloody good idea Gem,Didier deserves it. Make's a refreshing change to export something to China for once!.
  22. Not player related but, heard a rumour that the FIFA club world cup in Japan will be the first 'official' competition to feature goal line technology?. Don't know if true to be honest, but if it is, I wonder what our 'chum' Platini would make of it?.
  23. Never thought I'd see one player divide opinion as much as Torres has. While I care little for what he achieves with Spain,a succsessfull Torres will mean a succsessfull Chelsea. Thing is,he comes accross as a 'moaner' a difficult character to feel real affection for, unlike so many other of his peers, past & present. The timing of his comments, just after the Champions League final, the greatest night in the clubs history so far,was fecking shocking to be honest. That was a major no-no for me if I'm honest. I'll support you Nando,as long as you play for the club & you continue to,(or start), to do your bit. But,in all honesty, knowing how things would pan out,who would still want to pay £50 million for Fernando today?.
  24. Say what you like about James Milner Just, but I've been 'lucky' enough to watch him take apart average, below full strength sides playing with injuries & jetlag at Wembley. The guys a ledge!.
