I think Bosingwa & Maloudas days at Chelsea are up if the truth were told. But I'd consider sensible offers for Didier,Mikel,Kalou,Turnbull & sadly Essien if I were in charge at the club. Plus of course, any unsensable offers for Nando!.

I'm not quite sure what point you're making mate but,Chelsea F.C. in it's current format,with the vast investment that has been made by RA, should not be out of the title race by February,(IMO). Regarding the Europa League: Playing young players in the competition will give those lads good experience that's for sure,but as they ply their trade in the Premiership, I'm not to sure they will benefit to much in the long term from it.Or in fact, that they will be able to perform to their full potential in these tough envirouments without more 'senior' heads around them!. The Champions League is what it is,the competition for the top achieving domestic clubs in Europe,just what is the Europa League trying to be?. What is wrong with a straight forward knock-out competition?,for the second level clubs, with non-seeded teams in the draw?. The games will probably be better,the quality higher & I suspect, the fan interest will be greater to. The CL has it's place,so what's wrong with a second tier European competition that encourages the good 'ol fashioned spirit of 'knock out' cup football?. (plus,it won't drag on unless you're good enough)!

No point really having to much of a go at Andre because he's no longer here & he's also unable to defend himself. I wasn't to convinced by his early use of tactics,squad & mostly, his public statements, if the truth were told but,I really do feel that he tried his best & we now know he worked around the clock to make this club a sucsess. So good luck to him & i'm sure he will be a much wiser and better manager when he steps back into football management. He just made so many, what appeared to be basic mistakes, when it came to the press bast*rds & the 'senior' members of the squad. Before you win the minds of players such as these,you need to win their hearts,to make them belive without any doubt,that you are the greatest manager for them.Players such as these have played ( & won) at the highest level,in top competitions & under World class managers, so they're very unforgiving of any eneptitude,weakness or just plain old bullsh*t that any new manager may give them. In truth, he failed at this very important task. When Guus was linked with a role at the club, (possible Director of Football) I thought that if he and Andre could form a close working relationship,it could be Chelsea's greatest signing in many a long year. Guus's vast knowledge & man management skills,linked with Andre's (still raw) coaching talents could have been great & he could have guided AVB through the very difficult challenge of keeping the club competitive,the owner/board/fans happy,while at the same time looking to transform the players within the squad. But,true to form, Andre baulked at the mere mention of Guus coming back to the club in any capacity. I felt then that was a bit of a 'final nail in the coffin' moment & maybe all hope was lost. Bloody shame really,I honestly do think the two of them working together could have been great. But hey,what do I know!.

I thought that Eagle Benfica had flying around the pitch before kick-off was quality. As a fan of our feathered friends (although I'd struggle to eat a whole one), I wish we had something like that at Chels. Then, we could train it to take a huge sh*t on the head of Dulglish the next time we play the dippers at the Bridge.........fantastic!. (that is,if he's still in the job by then,the miserable dull 'ol scroat).

Some good perfomances out there,well done Mata & Ivan,but I'll give my Motm to Nando. He made spaces for himself,got himself in front of goal more often than not & made the Villa defense look nervous at times. Plus he helped in 2 goals & scored 1 for himself with a superbly placed shot. I suspect earlier in the season, he would have looked to have squared the ball rather than shoot so hopefully, the sign's that his confiedence is returning & we are finally seeing the 'real' Torres at long last. Well done to him.

Fair play to Peter Crouch,that was one hell of a goal,something to be proud of,so well done to him. I guess because he's not a Spanish based 'superstar' & he scored in the crap English Premier League,no-one is going to pull their pud over his goal. Yep,if your name isn't Messi,Inesta,Ronaldo etc, then obviously,it ain't worth a toss!. (still a lanky toss*r though)

Well said fella. This isn't the club of old,we should not accept second best, (who the f*ck signed Miereles?). If the club, with all it's 'investment' is falling short of top four quality,then it should make it top priorty to re-establish itself as soon as posible. Forget late week trips in the Europa League,its the domestic stuff that matters most. Once you get used to second best,then it becomes a long way back.Just look at the dippers,dirty Leeds scum,wet spam etc,etc.

I was 'lucky' enough to be at this game & if truth were told,manure outplayed us for most of the game & deserved their win. I say lucky because at a attendance of just over 42,000 it was the largest crowd i've ever been part of at Stamford Bridge & I was fortunate to get in. There were thousands locked outside because at that time I guess,the club just weren't used to such large numbers of 'floating' supporters!. Could have easily been 50,000 thousand in the ground that day.

Looking back,I can't help but think players such as Micky Droy & Johnny B really did deserve more success/medals than they ended up with,(& Colin Pates to). I guess in life,you don't always get what you deserve. They were still great Chelsea players though & great servants for the club in a very,very difficult time,personally, I have a lot of respect for these unsung hero's.

Personally,in its current format,I think the Europa league is a millstone around the neck of any club with title ambitions. 19 games to win the thing,with matches played 2-3 days before league fixtures?,sod that. The competition needs to be trimmed to make it more attractive,not only to the top clubs but also to the fans who, judging by the attendances,give the group stages a wide berth. At the moment,if it can't be the Champions League (& they won't bring back the Cup winners Cup),then thanks, but no thanks.

As a kid of a 'certain age',while watching Miss Welch in a re-run of 1million years B.C.,my thought's went from what fantastic (if plasticine) dinosaurs, to what dinosaurs?,then, to who gives a t*ss about dinosaurs!. Honestly,that woman's got a lot to answer for..........................................If only I had the chance to ask her!.

Again,I find myself agreeing with many ot the points you have made, but with regards to players such as Henry & Shearer,(& many more),while they achieved so much in the Premier League,like Innesta,Xavi & co, I think it's only fair to question how would have they faired in a league which they're not used to?. They were top quality players,Henry was re-invented as a striker by Wenger,had a superb spell with the arse & had a good,if brief career at Barcelona,but Shearer never did get to show what he could do outside this country. On the flip side,we've also seen many skilled players who've struggled here but had/have gone on to shine abroad,Veron,Forlan,Kezman,Crespo etc.Top,top quality players (maybe not Kezman!) who for whatever reason failed to reach their high standards in this league. Yes I know 'Stoke in midweek' is a bit of a cliche,but the thing is, they represent what I feel makes the EPL so difficult & that is........it's variety. It's a fair point to say that in one off ties against the poorer skilled English sides,the Spanish (& maybe Italian) teams may win more than they lose,but... The different teams in the Premier League bring their own philosphy to the table,wherever it be direct or more pass & move.Etheir way they play,they give it 100% & I think its this vareity & the determination that the teams show to prove it, is what make's this league the hardest to win over a season & that's not always apparent in 'one-off' European cup competitions. That & the break neck speed of our game,the non-stop season,the fan's expectations,the weather etc,etc......
