the difference is that obviously you could say bridge had his reasons to be aggrieved and that he was also a member of the squad at the time- the issue had the potential to split the squad.

I can't prove what did or didn't happen.

but bridge will know what happened. and if certain things that have been alleged are true then of course he would have a right to be aggrieved. I don't know if he "stole" her from gudjohnson (or that you could refer to it like that- they're not possessions after all), but if it were me, and my best mate had an affair with a woman I was in a serious relationship with (and the mother of my child) whilst I still had feelings for her, I'd be upset to say the least.

this idea that only terry's wife has been wronged isn't something I agree with. okay there is a clear betrayal of a monogamous romantic relationship between terry and his missus, but there is also a betrayal of friendship there.

of course I really don't care about this tabloid nonsense OTHER than to say:

1) I wish bridge still gets the respect and love from the chelsea support that I think he deserves.

2) it does filter into the football side of things. the giggs thing doesn't (unless rhodri giggs was to get a call up).

He still had that many feelings for her he cheated on her and left her? hmm. As fo giggs not effecting the football side, probably not with the players but he is now the captain of the GB Olympic football team after destroying his family by shacking up with his brothers wife for many many years.

But as Andy said you`re missing the point entirely. I find it amazing how this is being completely ignored by the media, somehow I dont think they would have had it been a certain other person.

DKW while I agree with you entirely, I can't say I'm surprised by it, Stuart Pearce has handled the whole Olympics thing like the utter c**t he is!

I mean picking a captain who won't be able to play every game is beyond laughable under normal circumstances, but Pearce hasn't realised that for team GB its just an exhibition anyway!

personally I don't think you get involved with exes of friends. and if you want to, you talk about it first.

(for what it's worth I think cap was probably right to remove it and definitely right to reinstate him and later resign because the decision was taken away from him)

p.ps. andy I think role model morality stuff is nonsense. unless something illegal has been done why shouldn't giggs be skipper? projected image etc doesn't matter. I don't by things because giggs endorses them so it doesn't bother me at all. this is a competition decided on the pitch not some humanitarian award.

getting involved with your brother's wife- how do you think? I don't understand why you'd need to ask. it's awful obviously. however as only one of the three parties are in (or are in contention) for a place in the squad, it really has no impact beyond his family.
