Not sure what you mean here. Just because a ref is Norwegian he's not good enough to ref a CL game? Only the great sons of the big european countries and leagues are competent enough, the rest are inferior? Well, at least you're fortunate enough to watch referee geniuses in the PL week by week, eh? Anyway, plenty of past experience prove that this is often the other way around and refs from smaller leagues who do a good job at the international games botch games in their national league because they think they don't have to concentrate that much. We also have proof of these referees being among the best, e.g. Sándor Puhl was voted four times as the best in a row before Collina replaced him for the following six years.

I really don't care about the EL. It'll never have the prestige of the CWC. A meaningless trophy with no financial gain and with 19 matches to play. Only a hinderance to the PL campaign. It should be the last priority, behind the League Cup.
