Super Frank Lampard
Spot on. For anyone to suggest Jorginho is the answer is laughable. Guy passes the ball slowly and sideways and is very slow - exactly what you don’t want when playing Wolves. Kante helped minimise the damage. Mount, Havertz/Kovacic lost the midfield battle in the second half.

Given they looked so knackered in last 20 minutes, I don’t think extra training is what’s required Munkworth.

Wolves v Chelsea (PL) Tue 15th Dec 2020 18:00 GMT
As much as Havertz is understandably copping a bit of heat, chelsea actually got worse after Kovacic replaced him. Was supposed to inject fresh legs in a midfield battle chelsea were now losing but went AWOL.

Want to clarify. No problem with constructive criticism. It’s the ‘Lampard out’ brigade who pipe up whenever chelsea lose I get frustrated with.

Here we go. People went quiet during the long unbeaten run but back they come after a couple of defeats...🙄

Big Pete is BACK
Difference in professionalism shown between Pete and waste of space drinkwater...latter starts a melee (don’t care how bad the tackle on him was), the former helps break it up and calms things down. shame Chelsea’s desperation to get Drinkwater off the books means he undeservedly takes the place of a kid who actually deserves to play in these games.

Chelsea have a knack of losing to teams who are in sh*t form. Happens at Everton and West Ham every year.

Am I the only one who fears we will manage to lose to the worst arsenal side in living memory on Boxing Day? After all, we managed to do so in the cup final.

That Kane goal shows how things are going their way at the moment and how games can be decided on minor details. As ropey as chelsea were yesterday, two shots which were far better struck than. Kane’s, hit the post. Some things are hard to quantify during a season. I’d say there hasn’t been a game chelsea have nicked/stolen yet when not playing well. It’s an important facet to have.

Chelsea v Leeds (PL) Sat 5th Dec 2020 20:00 GMT
Yeah what I meant was if that was Liverpool, they’d have been first up. They even kept showing them first when the title was in the bag last season

Yeah I get that but felt like that doesn’t stop Liverpool being shown first at every opportunity.

Chelsea go top of the league, top scorers in the league, playing great stuff. Are they first on match of the day? Course not.

Great point - the one you responded to I mean (!) about how he keeps fighting in a way Torres and morata didn’t after missing sitters. Needs to start converting some soon as it is bound to cost us sooner or later. mind you, Giroud missed quite a few himself tonight.

Chelsea v Leeds (PL) Sat 5th Dec 2020 20:00 GMT
Wahey...a win over dirty leeds and top of the PL (for the night at least). Only negatives were the amount of chances missed - should have thrashed them and Ziyech’s injury. Also, it’s encouraging that we’ve fallen behind in a couple of games and come back to win. Fans were awesome inside the ground too. finally, a big fcuk you to sky’s commentary of the game - up leeds’ arse and willing them to score all night.

West Ham had the chances to kill this game off. And they’ve been terrible since conceding the equaliser. Utd continue to accrue more wins/results than they deserve. But it also continues to paper over the cracks.

And the luck continues. Great finish by pogba but the ball was out of play. And now Greenwood has scored out of nothing. How are they 2-1 up?

The amazing thing is that they're still doing badly despite getting every decision going their way and being incredibly lucky during games.

Man Utd keep on fcuking up by continuing to have solskjaer in the job. Guy is clueless.

Sevilla v Chelsea (CL) Wed 2nd Dec 2020 20:00 GMT
Some of the pre-match moaners are arguably the most annoying of the lot. How can you moan before knowing how the team plays/what the result is? It’s not just being negative, it feels too much like a desire to say ‘I told you so’ afterwards if it goes tits up.

Olivier Giroud to Chelsea
Not having a go at you Didier (I never could with someone of that name!) but really dislike nonsense tweets like this, not taking the fact Hazard has barely played due to injury into account. Similar sh*t has been said and written about Loftus-Cheek. I also don't delight in seeing Eden have so much bad luck. The game is missing his skill IMO.

£18m? What a bargain.
