That’s that then. Always thought utd would win tonight but didn’t think they’d need VAR to help them beat palace

Agree with you Dixon. Makes me laugh when so many think he’s Chelsea’s player of the year. He’s been better than last Season but you’re still left asking yourself after so many games - neat and tidy but what did he actually do? Doesn’t score, doesn’t create goals...won’t win big trophies (PL or CL) with him in midfield

Fair point Dean. As average as chelsea were, they perhaps should have won by three or four with the chances they created. And apart from a few careless moments in possession, Norwich failed to test Kepa with a good effort for 90 minutes

Now final whistle has gone and points are in the bag, I don’t care how crap we played. Wins are all that matter at this stage of the season

Can only assume he started cos Barkley and mount were so poor on Saturday. Love Ruben but he’s not ready to start games

You could argue Abraham shouldn’t start another game until the pointless exercise that is Bayern...

This is garbage. No response evident from sheff utd loss. Where’s the passion, the intent, the desire to finish in the top 4?

Dropped tonight.

Reece James
The ease in which sheff utd played around him and Willian on Saturday for the second goal...stuff of nightmares...

Reece James
Have to say, of all the hype around the youngsters, he's underwhelmed me (along with Hudson-Odoi) with his performances the most this season. Injuries haven't helped him for sure. But if I think about his displays, I can remember his goal against Ajax and some good crosses. But he hasn't put in that stand out overall display YET - I'm not writing him off here - that convinces me he has the position for the long-term. The fact teams seem to be consistently targeting his flank and getting crosses in, is a concern.

City are taking the piss...got away with cheating and now have the hump about being accused/people wanting them to be punished in the first place. Take your 'win' on a stupid legal loophole and fcuk off.

Crystal Palace v Chelsea (PL) Tue 7th July 2020 18:00 GMT
As I said after the West Ham loss, this is chelsea, the ride is never smooth. watford was a break from the norm...every other game has been tension galore. usual positives and negatives highlighted. Have to say Gilmour and James look off the pace and opponents are targeting them. Jorginho isn’t long-term answer but is for the shirt-term. Gilmour has talent but the break appears to have negatively affected him. Doesn’t look the same player that took on Liverpool and Everton in March.

Tonight’s game is between two clubs whose fans think they’re still a big deal and ignore reality. Two Lge cups and One FA cup between them in 25 years. Like the match, it’s the battle of the mediocre.

Tammy Abraham
Not responded to Giroud taking his place, let alone imminent arrival of Werner. He better wake up or his chance will be gone. Not just at Chelsea, England too. Players like Calvert-lewin and greenwood have had much better 2020's than him so far.

Chelsea v Watford (PL) Sat 04th Jul 20:00 GMT
Still a lot of work to be done but as I said after West Ham defeat, a bit of perspective was required. Five points ahead of Wolves with five games to go, handy margin. Kept within a point of Leicester. Utd will be hard to finish above of given their form and fixture list. Hopefully Kante isn’t injured. Gilmour has had a bit of a reality check in two appearances now and frank clearly doesn’t like Jorginho all of a sudden
