next season
Players I'd like to see leave Chelsea: - Ferreira - he's lost it, and doesn't look like finding it any time soon Geremi - looking a bit iffy lately, I'd rather we had a younger back-up RB A.Cole - hate him, don't rate him. Sorry, wasn't trying to start a rap there.... Ballack - surplus to requirements, knocking on a bit, and costing a fortune in wages for not doing very much at all Hedman - too old, too crap, and ex-Septic and possibly: - Robben - always injured, fluctuating form, always diving, and seems to have an attitude problem. Love to watch him when he's on form, but unfortunately he's starting to really get on my tits. Players I'd like us to sign: - Micah Richards - he can play in a variety of positions and looks sh*t hot so far. We already have Diarra looking good in the RB position, but Richards would be an excellent buy. Leighton Baines - very good young left-back, won't be long before he breaks into the England team (unless of course McClaren stays). Would be a great signing to replace Ashley, and shouldn't be difficult to tempt here if Wigan get relegated. Scott Parker - I'm still mightily pissed off that we sold him, and I'd take him back in a heartbeat. As a midfielder, he's equally good going forward or shielding his defenders, and his workrate is second to none. James Milner - can play either flank, and has been improving at an impressive rate. We obviously need cover for CB, but I'd go for a promising young player rather than a big-name big-money big-ego one. I wouldn't mind us getting Jonathan Woodgate if he wasn't so injury prone, but maybe we wouldn't need someone like that if Mancienne gets given a chance. Also Richards could cover at CB. Gary Cahill at Villa looks a good prospect. I'd also like us to bring through a keeper from the youth team, or failing that, sign a good young keeper who would be happy to play in the reserves and learn from Cech & Cudicini. If, for any reason, Jose Mourinho leaves in the summer, then I would implore Roman to do everything within his power to persuade Eddie McCreadie to return to the Bridge

Hmm... Robben out for the rest of the season
Where is Duff when we need him...? He's currently playing sh*te for Newcastle

Hmm... Robben out for the rest of the season
I agree totally! If Robben had any loyalty at all to Chelsea, as soon as he realised he had this injury problem he'd have arranged for his legs to be amputated from above the offending knees immediately, and would be looking forward to running down the wing on his stumps come the weekend. What a selfish c*nt!

The other BIG England Question - Who to Lead the Troops
Sacrilege!!!!! If Eddie Mac were ever to return to the UK, he should only be allowed to manage Chelsea

Class strikers thin on the ground
Owen is incredibly injury prone, and has lost his pace. He's also a diving little sh*t. I don't like him, and don't rate him. Just my personal opinion of course...... It'll be interesting to see if Dean Ashton hits form when he returns, he looked very promising before his injury. Nugent looks good too, I'm surprised a Premiership club hasn't snapped him up before now.

The other BIG England Question - Who to Lead the Troops
I'd go for either Graham Taylor, Ian Porterfield or Geoff Hurst I reckon Sparky could do a good job, or maybe Sam Allardyce - a big maybe, though. At least they wouldn't pick players solely on their reputation or because of their popularity with the press. Trouble is, the FA will insist on a 'yes-man', and there's no way that either Hughes or Allardyce could be described as such.

What players from Scotland have played for Chelsea ?
I bet he has! I always liked Johnny Boyle, he played with total commitment - saw him sent off at least once

What players from Scotland have played for Chelsea ?
Charlie was mentioned in the initial post, as was Eddie Mac! I was lucky enough to see Charlie play many times, and he was a better player than Wee Pat - a magician when he had the ball at his feet. Don't want to seem pedantic, but Johnny Boyle wasn't in the 70 FA Cup winning side, though he was in the first team squad.

Andorra vs England
Bloody nerve o' the bloke! I thought Scotland did OK, but they were always second best to the gel-boys. Whenever we put together a decent move, or made a threat on their goal, the Italians stepped it up a gear - they weren't playing at anywhere near their best, but they were a class above Scotland last night Luca Toni played well against Weir & McManus, but I lost count of the amount of times he dived. He's clearly been taking lessons from Ronaldo & Deco, yet he's 6ft 4in and built like a brick sh*thouse All in all, not a terrible result - after all, the greasy ones are the World Champions! Oh, and I'd certainly back Scotland to beat England, were they to play in the near future
-
Ben Sahar
That looks awful! I reckon Sahar would have got a lot more credibility if, after scoring the goal, he'd ran over to the corner of the pitch, whipped his Hampton out and chopped the corner flag in two with it Or maybe followed the ball into the back of the net and taken a celebratory dump in the goalkeeper's cap

Andorra vs England
If it were me in charge a fully fit Beckham would walk into that England team no problem at all. Based on the form shown to date since McLaren took over and dropped Beckham there is not a single midfielder in that squad who Beckham would not have done more than. Considering how vastly over-rated Beckham is, that just goes to show how f*ckin' awful England's midfield is currently. Alright, I'm not an England supporter, but I think bringing Beckham back would make the problem even worse. It's bad enough having a w*nker like Rooney having no control or discipline, without adding Beckham to the equation. He totally loses it if he gets tackled, just can't handle it, and so goes chasing after the bloke who had the temerity to beat him in a challenge and blatantly fouls him. He always does this. He also lacks any positional discipline - if he's supposed to be playing on the right, he takes it upon himself to wander all over the place, f*cking up his team's shape and tactics in the process. Much in the same way that Gerrard did against Israel

Atvidaberg v Chelsea (CWC 1971)
You're right, it was Jeunesse Hautcharage from Luxembourg's 3rd.Division. The 13-0 game was really boring , and in the end we were cheering the Jeunesse team - not much to cheer though!

Atvidaberg v Chelsea (CWC 1971)
Sorry, can't help with any pics, Butch, but there might be some in the following home game programme. Probably not though, as they usually concentrated on pics from away games, but it's worth a try. The Atvidaberg game was played on 3 November 1971, and the next home game was against Nottm.Forest on the 6 November - bit too soon I should think. We then had four away games (all of which we won!), and the next home game after that was at home to Glasgow Rangers for Chopper's testimonial on 23 November. We had Spuds at home on the 27 November, but I doubt there'll be any in there. I remember the Atvidaberg game fairly well - we were expected to cruise through, but struggled. We'd have got through but for John Hollins missing a penalty

SHED 50
Try looking two posts above your one i did bb but i couldnt hear it on that vid Try Part 2. Starts off with the Chelsea fans singing 'Molly Malone', then about 30 seconds in they start 'Strollin''. Must admit, you'll probably have to crank the volume up a bit!

SHED 50
If you click on the link below, then scroll down and open the Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 6 match links, you can hear 'Strollin'' being sung by the Chelsea fans at Villa Park - in 1966. Kenneth Wolstenholme even mentioned it in his commentary http://www.csrforums2.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... c&start=75

SHED 50
I agree. I haven't heard "Strolling" for at least 30 years! Think I remember the words, but I'm not 100% sure - I'm strollin', just strollin' By the light of the moon above I don't envy the rich in their automobiles A motor-car is phony I'd rather shanks' pony* When I'm strollin', just strollin' By the light of the moon above * this was inevitably changed over time to "I'd rather shag a pony" I'll be surprised if this is the same song that's gonna be reprised - no football references at all! There again, Citeh's "Blue Moon" is in a similar vein. How about some other oldies from under the Shed? Lee Marvin's - Wand'rin' Star - "I Was Born Under A Chelsea Shed..............", or Teddy Bear's Picnic - "If you go under the Shed today, you're sure of a big surprise......" I prefer them to "Strollin'" personally, but each to their own....

AFC Wimbledon docked 18 points
I'm totally stunned by this news! I honestly couldn't see the FA doing anything but upholding the punishment, so this is great news for AFC Wimbledon. At just three points behind the leaders, they're still in with a great chance of promotion to the Conference South I still think the Ryman's League were trying to keep AFC in their league for financial gain, as AFC's away support is normally between 1,000 and 2,000 - big bucks to the Ryman League clubs. I'm so glad that the FA over-ruled the greedy scumbags. As you said, Loz, common sense prevails - shame it doesn't happen more often.

Spuddies vs. CFC - Round 2
Forbzy, I'm pretty sure that all podcasts are edited before release. The BBC clearly must have left out some of the more controversial bits. Quite funny really, all the Spuds fans complaining about Chelsea wasting time - I seem to remember their keeper Cerny getting a yellow card for time wasting in the first game at the Bridge

What players from Scotland have played for Chelsea ?
Absolutely! John Hollins clearly thought so too, as he brought the maestro John McNaught on to replace him! Must admit, Les Fridge had a mare that day!
-
Scotland World Champions
Yeah, I agree - I actually meant the Walter Smith/Ally McCoist management team when I said that I'm just hoping and praying that Alex McLeish can keep it going, though I feel he's handicapped by the presence of Roy Aitken.
-
What players from Scotland have played for Chelsea ?
Few more - Stewart Houston, Tommy Hughes, Jock Finnieston, Duncan McKenzie. Chelsea fielded 8 Scots in one match back in the eighties! Watford at home 85/86, last game of the season, a match best forgotten about - we lost 1-5! Team that day (Scots in blue): - Les Fridge Darren Wood (John McNaught) Joe McLaughlin John Millar Doug Rougvie Keith Jones Kevin McAllister Nigel Spackman Gordon Durie David Speedie Paul Canoville

Scotland World Champions
Great days indeed! I'm looking forward to Wednesday - no England on terrestrial TV, so they're showing the Italy v Scotland game live on BBC! Should be an interesting game, and winnable from a Scotland point of view, though that might be a bit of a stretch Main difference between Scotland and England at the moment? - England have 11 players, Scotland have a team. Scotland's management is also far superior - just stating the bleedin' obvious there though!
-
Spuddies vs. CFC - Round 2
Glad you got back OK, G4! I haven't any criticism of any of Chelsea's players this evening, I think we gave a good all round performance - with special mentions for Diarra, Mikel, JT, Sheva & SWP!
-
Spuddies vs. CFC - Round 2
Haven't seen that yet - but if Chopper had done it, Ronaldo wouldn't have got up to take the penalty
