It's a tough decision for the club to make. The biggest problem is Cech is too young to be talking about replacing him. Just to put it in perspective, he's several years younger now than Van Der Sar was when he signed for United. He still has a long time left in the game. My gut feeling is, if push comes to shove next summer and they have to pick one or the other (and assuming Cech's form doesn't drop alarmingly) I think the club will stick with Cech. Main reason being he's a proven goalkeeper.

Exactly. Besides, there's also the issue of showing respect to your current team, showing that doing what's best for them matters to you. You don't have to do a Poyet on it, but if you score in a big game against a rival you're perfectly entitled to celebrate.

True. As clichéd as it is, goals change games. Hazard had a good chance to level before their second goal. We may have been able to push for a 2nd had that gone in. But we got what we deserved for that performance. Far too many under par performances.

A night of so many top performances it's hard to single out one. I voted Essien but Mikel, Willian, Mata & Bertrand were every bit as good.

Regardless of who is picked for City, at least whomever it is will be going into it off the back of a positive performance. Now my preference would be Torres as he's been slightly better than the other 2 so far this season and it would probably be wise to try and extract as much as we can from him while he's in a confident mood, but it's not that clear-cut a decision for Jose to make.
