  1. If we don't win on Saturday I'm blaming you 100%. But I also agree 100% with everything else you said.
  2. Luiz got dragged out of position far too easy there. Luckily Everton made a mess of it.
  3. If I was to be highly critical I would say Schurrle could have put more on the pass and maybe it would have given Barry less of a chance. But all in all though it was a fantastic block by Barry.
  4. Looks like it was changed cos last night it definitely said he was on 28000.
  5. I think with the rethink in Anzhi's owners strategy and greatly reduced budget, they were desperate to get him off the books.
  6. From that point on I read the rest of your post with a drunk Homer Simpson type voice in my head, with a hiccup for every .... in your post. Just thought I'd let you know that.
  7. I think we've done ok. The squad is better than it was before the window. We've taken care of the backup keeper problem. Schurrle has looked good so far. We'll have to wait and see how the other signings pan out. We all wanted a world class striker but when it came down to it Eto'o was the best available. We were priced out of it for Cavani and Falcao and Rooney wouldn't force a move out of United. Like most I'm disappointed that Lukaku is out on loan again, but I suspect it's what he wants. Starting regularly at Everton will benefit him more than sporadic appearances for us. He's only 20 so there is plenty of time for him. Of course if he does have another great season and we still don't give him a chance, then we can start kicking up a fuss.
  8. The Premier League site has them both down as under 21. You can see the squad list and see who they have down as homegrown here http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/clubs/profile.squads.html/chelsea
  9. Hull have looked decent enough, but they're gonna be in big trouble if they'll be relying on Graham for goals this season.
  10. Well speaking for myself, I'm really only giving an educated guess based on what I've seen from Ramires. I haven't seen anything from him to suggest he would intentionally go into a tackle like that with intent to hurt an opponent. He can certainly be awkward and, truth be told, maybe a little wreckless but that's about it I think.
  11. Well noone is saying you can't have an opinion, it's just that others disagree with you. I agree he deserves criticism for the tackle, I called it wreckless and dangerous earlier which it was. I wouldn't go so far as to say cowardly as, in my opinion, he didn't do it to intentionally hurt the other player.
  12. I don't think there's much I can say that hasn't been said. Just want to add my plaudits for the performance, particularly when down to 10. Cahill was very impressive as was Luiz, although he did give away a few silly frees but did well nonetheless. I don't know what was going through Ramires' head for that tackle, completely needless and wreckless. Finally on Lukaku. It was a poor penalty and a poor idea, but if he never takes a penalty like that again for us, then I'd rather the humility lesson come in the Super Cup than in a more important game.
  13. I think it's a good piece of business for the club. With it being a one year deal (if reports are to be believed) then we won't be stuck with him if it doesn't work out. Plus it gives him a chance to show us (or indeed other clubs in Europe) that he can still cut it at the highest level and earn an extension. With the Rooney deal seemingly dead, he's the best of what's available.
  14. That's a pretty good summary of it. I'm sure the attacking side of things will improve immensely as the season progresses, but it's great to have that confidence in the backline again.
  15. TJB replied to Mike 93's topic in Football (Other Teams)
It's always good to see top class talent joining, even if it feels like a somewhat unnecessary transfer. While I would have some fear that the club are doing this in anticipation of offering Mata in part exchange for Rooney, I trust (to a degree) that they will be smart enough to see that that move would benefit them more than us. So, Willian, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, KDB and Schurle all at Chelsea. Most clubs would kill to have one of them.
  16. That's pretty much it. I don't think there was too much wrong with how Terry defended it. Gotta give credit to Benteke for how fast he controlled it and then got the shot off.
  17. Considering the 8-0 battering they took last time, it's hardly a surprise they're cautious.
  18. Very good signing. Excellent piece of business by the club.
  19. Schumacher can't cross for sh*t. Like the ref cam.
  20. Hopefully we'll get a cracking game. I too would like to see Dortmund win, but I think Bayern will edge it.
