  1. He completely ruled out both Manchester Clubs and said a decision will be made in the summer where his future lies. If all this falls through it is down to Roman pure and simple - the golden handshake is there already.
  2. He said he did not want to comment about reports as he has a job with Real Madrid until the end of the season and a fantastic trophy to challenge for. Chelsea remain the closest to his heart and one day I would like to return - please edit this for obvious reasons ! Bookmakers reacted by cutting him from 13/8 to 4/9 on the back of the un edited version
  3. I have just seen the full Jose interview which is to be edited and put on Sky in 45 mins - he's coming home fella's !
  4. He has no 'real bond' with the players. fans, and hierachy. Far too much of a 'maverick' for the posh side of Madrid. He had it in Milan, Porto and of course Chelsea. If they do win the Champions League I seriously doubt if you will see the tears he showed when he left Inter at the top of the world. He is hated by the press in Spain, too contreversial for the authorities, You would have thought winning the league and driving Guardiola out of Barca' would have been enough, but this is Madrid. I went to Madrid the night when Aquero bagged two goals for Athletico against us. Madrid is a City like no other. I loved the place to be honest, alongside London it's my favourite place. Why ? Because behind the posh and glorious stature of the place there is a deep rooted 'working class' band of people who love Athletico and despise Real. All the workers in restaurants and bars are Athletico, in four days I never spoke to ONE Real Madrid fan. Can Jose fit into that zone ? The posh and glory ?? With Chelsea he gets the best of London, the Kings Road etc. but the REAL fans are in the main from a 'working class background' despite some climing the social ladder they still have that 'passion inside them'
  5. Does anyone really think Jose would flirt with Chelsea fans as he does with the press? He loves us the fans and the Club. Can you really see him joining another Premiership Club unless Chelsea didn't want him ? Providing Roman has made his peace and offered Jose control he desires - this is the Special One's pre-season pep talk to the press before he once again takes his seat in the Chelsea dugout. If he indeed is in the stand tonight every Chelsea fan there should sing his name .... all together now ... Jose Mourinho Jose Mourinho !!!
  6. AVB is beginning to shock me, one wonders if he 'has it' after all. His buys have all worked out well there, he has also brought a Ronaldo type improvement to Bale's game. Spurs look 'nailed on' for 3rd to me, our saving grace is that Arsenal look worse than us !
  7. It is now clear the 'outburst' was rubber stamped by the Chelsea board as I stated the morning after the 'Boro Pantomine' A clear decision to get everyone behind the team with the knowledge a new manager will be in place next season. The body language fooled many a Chelsea fan, typical Buck, Gourlay and dare I say it Roman.
  8. Steve Clarke was last seen giving Ray Wilkins a piggy back from Sloane Square to the Black Bull.
  9. It's a clear six horse race, at the moment Jose leads travelling on the bridle, Moyes is on the rails biding time, Capello and Hiddink are being pushed along and both Poyet and Zola are making smooth late headway. Given it is a long distance handicap to manage Chelsea a sprint is more in order but every manager in contention must realise Paul FURLONG was a better Chelsea buy than Fernando Torres.
  10. Davey Baby, I guess the next 24 hrs will tell. I maintain if he is not sacked the club and him discussed his interview in detail before it went out live. Avram Grant was in the directors area when the TV camera's zoomed in on Roman at our last home game or was it Man City away not certain. He is available and has maintained his relationship with Roman - let's hope and pray Jose has patched things up too.
  11. I sit on the side of caution here. As I got access immediately to the sky feed of this interview it seems to me despite what everyone says on this thread it was a well thought out interview and not of one 'losing the plot' Don't get me wrong I want Benetiz gone as much as any Chelsea fan but I am not sure this outburst is all his doing. The club in particular Roman are not happy with the fans stance on Benetiz. In the same breath like the majority will not pin any blame on Roman for getting us in this mess for sacking RDM and bringing in the 'Fat One' ( Bizarre to me ) Roman and the board will not critisice us fans. Benetiz has become their mouthpiece in my opinion, otherwise true to Chelsea form under Roman he would be sacked this morning surely ? As for putting blame on us, what a joke and that's the pure scouse in him. Ok and I'm talking away more than home, there has been nothing but terrific support from the lads - yes anti Benetiz banners and 16 min Di Matteo chants - but no booing and no songs about Benetiz. I hope I am totally wrong and he has lost the plot and will be sacked today, with Avram Grant keeping the seat warm for Jose perhaps - or even us waiting for Utd to beat Real and us getting the Special One in straight away !
  12. One of the best posts I have seen on these forums for a long long time. Back to the great Paul Rushden days when we had the most knowledgeable and passionate fans on the net. As one of the regular's back then, at least ten I keep in touch with, many work in media circles and some have wriiten Chelsea pieces that have gone into book publications. I feel I am paddling down the river alone with the newbies on here, too many look at the trophies and use that as the measure of Roman's time here, the fact is, as your point shows, throwing money away has been a huge part of his reign. But on point, this kid might just be the business, he is rated by a well repected journalist as NO1 in the top 100 prospects and Ivanovic has stated on more than one occasion the kid is the best youngster he has ever seen. Pretty much a young Zola with pace. I am taking a break from these forums but hope by the time I return - your post will have been discussed at boardroom level at Chelsea.
  13. In my opinion we should bring not only Courtois but all our loan players back pre-season to enable the new manager ( hopefully ! ) to access the squad in detail before making decisions on transfers and further loan deals without the opinions and interference of others. As for Courtois, I think it will be foolish to expose him to another season in Spain. His stock is rising week by week there and we need to get him home. If it means replacing Big Pete so be it, but I would much rather see him on loan in the Premiership gaining valuable experience, for as Man Utd's Spanish keeper found it is a hell of a different scene over here.
  14. I'm a moron lol ! How many 50 year old's have a gorgeous 24 year old wife, 3 grown up kids that adore me and support Chelsea - a 3 month old son who is a star in the making and am high up in the betting industry and work part time for Sky Sports !
  15. Mike Carefree. It's not my take at all, I work with and have contact with many old school Chelsea fans who have not bought into the 'winning at all cost' attitude of the current regime. From those priced out of visiting Stamford Bridge, ejected for singing or banished for encouraging others. I every every sympathy for any Chelsea fan upset over the sacking of Robbie but not for the plastic puppets that will say nothing negative about how we have won trophies under Roman. Give me support and the feeling of 1997 any day of the week.
  16. Myles, An excellent post mate and sums up what the majority of true Chelsea fans feel.
  17. 5 more goals and Frank can run to the director's box and stick two fingers up - but we know he has far too much class for that.
  18. Blame Roman and NOBODY else. He has craved Barcelona type football for years with no regard to positive results gained against them with our style and technique to grind out a victory. Robbie masterminded a victory over two legs against them and still Roman craved Guardiola. Jose was victorious in that magical night when JT headed us through at the Bridge, when we even had an atmosphere there ! Gus ( His favourite boss ) parked the bus in the Nou Camp and was desperately unlucky not to complete the job at home. Winning football is gained by defending and attacking in the right manner, the best teams grind out 1-0 victories when performances are not the best. Roman should get FIFA 2013 take control of the Chelsea team and fantasise and live the dream and keep well way from the REAL Chelsea Football Club.
  19. Zeta - that would be a start, for me if he doesn't go he needs to take a real back step and put real football men in the right places and create a board with patience, knowledge and a grasp what real Chelsea fans are about. I cannot emphasise anymore the damage Roman is doing to Chelsea Football Club. The 'Fair Play' system gives us the chance to develop youth and sort out the ludicrous 'loan situation' we are in. We need Jose desperately but I cannot see Roman backing down and giving him the reigns to control all football matters. That is what this club needs - Stability. People harp on about Benetiz but is he really responsible for all this ? This situation was a long time coming. Nobody expected us to do the double or win the champions league the team was not in it's prime. The harsh fact is removing Jose was the catalyst to the chopping and changing and the unsettling of players. Yes unsettling, Oscar and Hazard were not bought by Benetiz were they ? Kenriight let's Moyes get on with it, That's why they punch above their weight year on year. Roman just wants what HE wants, we are not Barcelona we are CHELSEA.
  20. Ambramovitch, I started this thread and on countless times on this forum I have said I could go 5 years without a trophy if it meant a manager was given time and youth was developed to bring players into the first team. The very people defending Roman and critising Benetiz are completely missing the point. The Corporates and fans who joined the Roman Empire when we first won the league under Jose are the very people who will defend his actions to the hilt. I won't I love Chelsea from the heart and birth and this geezer is ripping us apart - Chelsea is bigger than him but he has become bigger than Chelsea and is playing with everyone's emotions. He can't go quick enough for me.
  21. Star replied to Uno's topic in General Chelsea FC
Protest against the man who does the hiring and firing !
  22. Appoint Jose Mourinho and let him manage all football matters as what should have happened with a decent owner 6 years or so ago.
  23. The whole thing can be summed up from the moment Joe Cole smacked in the third goal to give us our 2nd title on the trot - that day Man Utd were on their knees and we were on the verge of dominating the Premiership for a decade. Despite their fans demonstrating against the Glazier's they re-grouped put their faith in their manager and bought shrewdly on his advice to the point when they signed Van Persie to seal everything this season. The Americans are also letting Rogers build things at Liverpool when it would have been easier to sack him early doors. Roman got himself out of a 'diffucult' situation in Russia and whilst 'learning to love' Chelsea he has become more important than Chelsea Football Club. This whole managerial roundabout is killing our club as we know it. He waited on Guardiola in the summer that's why he delayed appointing Robbie. Once Guardiola saw the way he dumped our Champions League winner he thought nah it's not for me. Flair players were bought to suit Guardiola long term - I love Hazard and Oscar they will be great with a new system and manager but the truth is this club didn't do enough to keep Drogba and oust Torres. With the fair play rules coming into play Roman and the board have no part to play in our future. We need an owner who can sort this 'mess out' employ decent staff and a decent coaching team - Roman is not that man. Just like when Ken Bates knew his time was up so should Roman - but will his 'ego' once again prove he is doing all this for himself.
  24. Lampard and Ramires are not holding midfielders - Mikel is , here endeth the lesson.
