  1. Can see Liverpool taking a point or all 3 of us next week. They have a good record against us of late and our defense parts like the red sea for anyone at the mo.
  2. First half down and no booking for him so do not get your hopes up lol
  3. Key point of the Independent article though is that it will come down to "our players word against the refs". If that is true and we have no evidence beside word against word we will lose this case, simples.
  4. That will be Roman that decides that. Sheva was his 30mill grand signing and he had to be the one to let him go when he flopped. Now it is Torres. Roman will decide when enough is enough.
  5. Maybe we are not more like Barca of last year than the Barca side Roman would want. Barca were, as normal, ok at the back, very creative and often dominate in the middle, but with Villa injured had no main forward to put the end chances away often enough.
  6. Oscar, Hazard, Mata and co, all that creativity and no potent striker to be on the end of it. RVP with those guys behind him? 40 odd goals a season.
  7. He has his supporters and detractors like many players. Some are happy enough with his efforts, other not. For me he does not measure up to the Drog, has shown instances where he is not grateful for the faith CFC showed in him, both club and fans.
  8. But it would be an ideal result for Juve Moos so either way is a win win for you ;) Sadly been proven right again just like last week with this game. Not a good enough result and while yes it is good City gained nothing on us and we gained a point on Spurs and Arsenal, it should be 3 points on them and 2 on City. Yes Swansea are a good side, yes they have a decent home record. But any side with the quality we have in our ranks will beat them every time if we play to our best. Again though we underwhelm and this lack of consistency in Nov/Dec time has cost us year on year of late in the league. Though fair is fair I guess, we robbed them last year at the death so fair play to them for returning the favour this year. So long as we do not get royally done over because of the Clattenburg affair I think we could get 2nd this season, City seem to be more hit and miss this term. United though will be out of reach this season imo, RVP and Kagawa give them the quality they lacked to kill games last year that cost them the league.
  9. Difference with JT, Suarez and this case is the ref is has a mic on him, and his assistants and 4th official say they heard no word against Mikel. So bottom line is he will not be found guilty because the word of Luiz and Ramires against all 4 officials will not win out. 2012 the year we became European Champions and maybe the year that ends in our downfall...I have a very bad feeling about all this...
  10. No surprise there, one rule for United, one set of rules for everyone else, change the rules to suit against Chelsea. Why we are fooked here...
  11. Do not expect anything from the ref, in this game or the next. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8220894/Chelsea-boycott-considered-as-Mark-Clattenburg-row-pushes-referees-to-brink Posted in the Clattenburg thread but the damage our "case" against him is causing to us is beginning to show. Best case scenario we get screwed like we did against United week in and week out, and that is not much of a best case scenario but compared to our games not going ahead with no official willing to ref our games it kinda is...
  12. So it begins, you know the only loser in this situation is us fans right? If refs refuse to referee our games under strike action there will be no matches for us, we will get a fixture backlog and be playing every other day to catch up, if allowed to play again that is. Unless we can prove substantial evidence against Clattenburg we are now done for. If the case is dismissed the media, refs and various other people in the game will demand we are punished for tarnishing a refs name. Points deduction could be the lightest sentence, demotion another possibility. The FA and premier league cannot afford to have refs refuse to ref our games or go on strike, but as for taking off a huge stack of points from us or kicking us out, well you have seen the attitude from those in the game and the media. "Oh well it is only Chelsea, who cares". They will rejoice at the prospect. imo we are royally screwed, no good will come from this because our club is so universally despised and feared. EDIT: Even if we can come out of this without the FA coming after us again, you think any ref will be willing to give us any benefit of the doubt in games now? What happened against United will be a recurring theme.
  13. Said it before and will say it again, a win is of vital importance in this game imo, no matter what side is selected. Huge, huge week this. Fail to beat Swansea and it could impact our whole season, fail to beat Shakhtar and we may be on our way out of the CL in the group stage...a rather limp defense of the trophy that would be...
  14. Brana and Cahill at the back together. Could either spell trouble or make for a great pairing. Hmm...
  15. Like the side and reasons behind it, here is hoping your predictions are right. Got to put our bad Winters behind us and anything other than a win I can see sending us down that path again...
  16. Cahill and Luiz too though got the full 120 and we will need them to be at their very top as Swansea are rather good going forward as well.
  17. Can see it being a draw like last year, a fair few first team players will be drained from Wednesdays game.
  18. Yeah still seems like a rod for our own backs, now the press are looking for any incident of abuse coming from the crowd to report it. Basically you can see the agenda. They have worked for the past few years to get JT out of the England set up and try and make his life as difficult as possible, and they are now trying to damage our club as much as they can. Time for a full media black out from the club?
  19. Really think this game could have a massive impact on our season. We managed to bounce back from a bad week to get through in the League Cup but we need to put a second win ahead of our huge game at home to Shakhtar. Think it is imperative to win. Absolutely imperative. As for what team, very early to call but at the mo I would go with: Cech, Azi, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Ramires, Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Sturridge.
  20. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8213315/Chelsea-could-rest-John-Obi-Mikel-and-Juan-Mata-for-meeting-with-Manchester-United Likely No Cole, Mikel or Mata to go with the missing Terry, Lampard, Torres and Brana.
  21. Agree with your opinion on this. While I did not see the ref as the deciding factor on Sunday I did believe RVP and Valencia would give us no end of trouble, and that United had a stronger bench. This time around Nani, Wellbeck and the Little Pea just seem more deadly to me than a possible combo of Sturridge, a not fit yet Marin, Moses etc. Now if Robbie were to pick a near full strength side while United rested completely the likes of RVP, Valencia, Rooney etc and use their regular League Cup team then I would reverse that opinion.
  22. No way the FA will take the word of our players over that of the ref and his other 3 officials, given they stated one of our players "fabricated" a story to them earlier this year. Instead we will get charged with bringing the game in to disrepute and probably have a points deduction put on us. Think we screwed up massively here.
  23. Well rather I mean for us to get through Juve will likely have to go out, looks rather likely Shakhtar will get through.
  24. Too much for the rest of the world, but for the UK and our media you are pretty much bang on in my opinion.
