  1. So you admit he's not been as good going forward on that right flank. Also, how good was he offensively between 2012 and 2015 when he was actually playing at LB? Again, he's impeccable defensively but there's a lot of room for improvement going forward.
  2. Mate, Azpi got those goals while Moses was on the pitch. He's always in that edge of the box to 30 yard area when we're taking corners or putting a lot of pressure on the opposition. That has nothing to do with being played at RWB. Moses' final ball isn't that good but it's still better, more decisive and faster than Azpi's. Only thing the lad's got on Moses offensively is probably his long crosses. Let's stop acting like Azpi hasn't been playing for us since 2012 as a full back. He's not exactly Ashley Cole going forward, is he? We can do better than Moses at RWB but that means we need a Sandro/Alves type wing back. Not Azpi.
  3. Griezmann is not a CF and it would be silly to play him as our main CF for an entire season. Kane is almost as impossible as Messi so just forget about that one. But yes, I agree about Aubameyang.
  4. Which still means nothing. Because they're not doing any player + cash deal still.
  5. Oh Moses brings so much more to the table at RWB offensively than Azpi ever could. The way he goes directly at opposing full backs, the off the ball runs, the timed passes in that rhombus with Pedro, Kante and Azpi, etc. Azpi's first instincts aren't to do those things. He's not a natural winger like Moses. That said, I hope we go for another RWB. One that's better than Moses.
  6. No, that's never going to happen and neither should it. Azpi has only been used at RWB towards the end of games when we're trying to close out the win. Why? Because he's fantastic defensively. I thought it's been well established by now that Azpi isn't that good going forward?
  7. Not to mention I think Conte has found a way to buck a trend in Cesc's career. He usually starts the season on fire and tails off by January. I think part of the reason for this is his underwhelming physicality. He can't really handle the rigors of a full season. But the way Conte has used him as subs here and there and started him here and there has meant that he still had a lot of fuel in the tank at the end of the season, which is bloody fantastic. Not to mention the added factor of how Conte trains and diets his players as well, which tends to improve players' stamina as they've all pointed out this season. He just turned 30 and his style of play means he'll still be more or less the same Cesc Fabregas at 34/35 a la Pirlo. He needs to be offered a 1 year extension on top of his current deal tbh.
  8. Still a good trend overall
  9. And they quote the Daily Star. I'm going to take a big guess and say it's a BS story.
  10. You keep going on about this Mere lad and I've hardly seen a peep from any outlet about Chelsea even being interested in him. Is this just your own personal wish?
  11. Love Jose still but this has gotten embarrassing. He complains about one thing every week. Now he says Ajax shouldn't be in the final. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4522492/Man-Utd-s-Jose-Mourinho-Ajax-no-Europa-League-final-right.html
  12. Chelsea apparently moving swiftly to close the deal with a €45m-€50m bid.
  13. Think Roman may have finally found the long term manager he was looking for in AVB. I hope Conte doesn't feel the need to be adventurous like young Jose. It would be great to have him at the club for a long time.
  14. Well, isn't it just beautiful to watch the same Arsenal fans who've been slagging us off because of "Russian money" pray and beg the stars to have their own "Russian money"? Oh I love the universe https://arsenal-mania.com/forum/threads/usmanov-or-silent-stan.25569/
  15. Good post. Welcome to the forum! Welcome to you as well! Napoli would be a nice group stage opponent. Hope you two can post from time to time. Love to get the perspective of Serie A fans especially on issues relating to Serie A (players, managers, matches, etc).
  16. Personally think Pochettino could do wonders with Barkley.
  17. So if I can't show fairness then you'll be happy to label me one of those. Right. You have no logic. "Explain anymore"? You never explained it to begin with. "I don't understand why you're all being unfair to him so you're all racists"........how is that an explanation? Anyway, as I said, I'm done. As you were...
  18. So you don't understand why certain fans won't give him therefore you pull an absolute rubbish theory purely out of thin air that they must be racists/xenophobes. Where is the logic mate? I think I'm done with this. I'll have to remind myself not to engage in any future debates with you of my own. Might just get called a racist/xenophobe/sexist/whatever can be slung out of nothing.
  19. And what if they don't give him credit when it's due? That makes them racists? I've hardly even criticised the man since he's been at Chelsea but this is just ridiculous of you and you have to admit that.
  20. I don't think I've seen you admit even once that YOU are way off the mark calling people racists/xenophobes with ZERO evidence either. Why should anyone else make that compromise before you do after disrespecting a lot of people on here? You've not admitted that you crossed the line. Probably because you believe you didn't.
  21. So your problem is you need 100% of the Chelsea fan base to be showering praises on Emenalo right now? Mate, even Jesus himself didn't have 100% of people on his side. You act like it's every fan still not giving him his credit. There will always be those who don't like the man especially after his "The Individual" comments about a club legend at a very emotional time. Deal with it. Not everybody has to like him. He's not being paid big money by Chelsea Football Club to be "liked" or showered praises by fans. He's being paid to be a technical director and essentially chief scout. As long as he keeps Roman happy and his work produces positive results in the team in general, his job is done. Whatever praise he gets from whatever section of Chelsea fans is only a bonus. You can stop crying and calling people racists now.
  22. Hang on a minute, is he working for free then? No? Thought so. Every member of CFC's staff who's being paid by the club can and will take their share of criticism from fans if we see fit. The day Marina starts botching transfer deals, I'm sure she'll get her fair share of it as well. Then again, maybe we'll have fans like you calling her critics sexist out of nowhere.
  23. You're complaining about us calling you "names" yet calling the Emenalo critics racists. Bit ironic, isn't it? I also love how you latched on to the Wenger bit and sidestepped the Kalou/Mikel bit. Because you know you're full of it. Mikel was made a scapegoat several times even when he was on the bench and wasn't playing. Did you call Chelsea fans racist then too? Or maybe you did in fact take part in that yourself. Absolute nonsense.
  24. I understand the sentiment but we should only bring emotion into transfer dealings if it involves club legends tbh (Drogba 14-15). I'm sure most mid table PL teams would jump at the chance to sign Sturridge if Liverpool put him on the market. He needs to find himself again. Not sure we have the patience for that right now. That time is better spent developing one of our own like Abraham.
