Any Tapatalk users?
Is the forum working ok for you? I'm only able to read old posts, I can see that new posts are being made, but when I open the thread all the new posts are missing. It's been like this a day now, quite annoying as I hate sitting at the PC in the evening.

Any game recommendation?
I downloaded the Jet Set Radio demo off PSN last night, my first impression was 'what a gorgeous looking game'. Second impression was 'f**k me this is hard', I struggled for half an hour to do the 30-tricks-in-a-row challenge in the tutorial before giving up. I later learnt that the tutorial is notoriously hard though so at least it's not just me. For £7.99 or whatever it is it's got to be worth a punt.

Benitez - whatever you want to say...
I'd welcome Grant back at this point. He did take us to our first Champions League final, and took West Ham out of the premier league. So there's at least two reaons to like him, which is two more than Rafa.

West Ham v Chelsea (PL) 02/12/2012 KO 12:45 GMT
We have strength all over apart from one position, in my opinion. Whoever is in charge of transfer policy (clearly this is not the manager) f**ked us up big time by signing loads of AMs but leaving us critically light up front. I agree we need stability. Specifically we need to hire a proper manager and give him the chance to build a team with no interference from up top (and only sign players he actually wants) and things might improve, otherwise this merry-go-round will never stop.

I've never in my life called for a Chelsea manager to be sacked, but after 3 games I know I can't take 6 more months of this fat w**ker.

Hope the fans let FSW know what we think of him after the game.

He just took off one of our best players, f**king moron.

West Ham can't maintain this pressure for another half hour, just need to weather the storm and be a little more composed with our counter attacking.

Deserve to be ahead at half time but that 1 goal lead was starting to look tenuous. For me it's definitely not the best half of football for the season, but a vast improvement over our November performances.

Oh FFS can't believe that didn't go in, great work by Moses again.

When JT and Luiz are back it's going to be a tough choice between Dave and Ivan at RB.

Rafael Benitez: "The Squad has Burned Out"
I don't know, maybe there's something to it, but it just sounds to me like something obvious he would say to excuse the piss-poor team performances in the last few games. Every other team has a core group of players that they rely on so we're hardly unique in that respect.

what's your set up?
It's really not hard to set up, you basically just have to write the OS to an SD card and plug it in. It's quite fussy over power supplies though so it's important to buy a recommended one. Getting wifi working can be a bit hit and miss, but it helps a lot to make sure the USB dongle is a model that's known to be compatible (as with all peripherals), but there's loads of information about that on the net. You don't even need to use Linux if you just want to run XBMC. If you want to do other things then I'd say that any body who has used any kind of Windows/Apple computer will have no trouble getting used to Linux, the recommended OS ("Raspian") has a user interface similar to a light-weight Windows XP. The software is mostly still beta quality though so things can still stop working from time to time, especially after updates, so for this reason I usually try new software versions on a spare SD before replacing the current working version.

Any game recommendation?
The first Bioshock was brilliant, definitely one of my favourites. To be fair COD 4 was a really good game, I've played bits and pieces of the later ones round friends' houses but I think I'm just bored (or grown out) of playing soldiers now. I'm really enjoying Dishonoured at the moment, it's nice being able to complete the missions any way you want, and the atmosphere and detail in the game-world are probably up there with Bioshock.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
You sure that's a bicycle kick, and he hasn't just slipped over on a banana skin?

what's your set up?
I usually download torrents onto my NAS which streams over wifi to the TVs in the house. We don't have any smart TVs though, upstairs I'm using a PS3 to stream through, and downstairs I've set up a Raspberry Pi with XBMC connected to the TV. We have a couple of DVD players knocking about but they've been gathering dust since getting the NAS.

Skyfall - 50th anniversary of the mighty 007
Saw this today as the film we wanted to see was canceled, not really my cup of tea. I got very fed up with all the product placement at the start (honestly, how many close-ups of Bond's Omega watch is enough?) but once I got used to that the action/chase scenes were entertaining enough. One to download I think, unless you're prepared to pay a tenner to watch a glorified commercial.

Any game recommendation?
I wish there were more fun and unique games like Mirrors Edge. All those COD/Halo/FIFA sequels are technically very good but there's only so many times I can play the same game before losing interest.

Clattenberg cleared
If you think my understanding is wrong (i.e. that we had an obligation to report it, and by doing so we behaved properly), then what you're saying is we didn't have to report it? I cannot agree with that. As for keeping it all quiet, I'm not feasible that is, I can't imagine something like that wouldn't have gotten out pretty quickly.

Clattenberg cleared
My understanding is that the club behaved properly on this matter, they couldn't not report it. Unfortunately it boils down to Clattenburg's word against Ramires, so of course they would give him the benefit of the doubt (I actually find it easy to believe that Ramires could have misheard/misunderstood what was said). The thing that annoys me is the referees' union are demanding an apology from the club when all we have done what we were expected to do, under the circumstances. f**k them. Where's our apology for Clattenburg's hopeless refereeing performance that cost the club 3 points and possibly triggered the run of bad results that cost our manager his job?

Thank You Robbie
This thread's a welcome respite from the sh*t-storm going on elsewhere. That FA cup final against boro was also the first time I had seen us win anything, and it still means as much to me as anything we have achieved since. I wil never forget Robbie's audacious first minute thunderbolt and will always be grateful for that memory. I hope he leaves the club with the understanding that what happened today was against the fans' wishes (on the whole) and that his contributions to this club's history will always be remembered by the people that matter.

Fans Anti- Abramovich protest on Sunday (Merged Thread)
I really like the idea of making it a pro-Robbie 'protest', but I also support the idea of protesting against Roman. Not because I want him gone (well, not his money anyway), but because he needs to be made aware that his (and the board's) habit of treating the club and it's employees like playthings is wrong, and is not appreciated by a large part of the support. Whether he would care or not is another issue...

Not sure if trolling...

Robbie Di Matteo sacking (merged)
Well, this is really f**king embarrassing. Not entirely unexpected though, people like Abramovic don't get to be multi-billionaires by being nice (actually, a touch of psychopathy is useful). Mostly I feel bad for RDM, what an unjustified and callous act by the club. If the rumours about Rafa are true that will just be rubbing our noses in it. Anyway, I don't think I will be buying any more match tickets this season. Whoever the new guy is, he will have my full support (even if it's old 'Arry). My ill-feeling is directed entirely towards RA and the board.
