  1. If we ignore the Mail's customary sh*t-stirring headline, what this non-story effectively boils down to is "raised voices overheard in Chelsea dressing room after league defeat to West Brom", like that is somehow unusual in a football dressing room. I'd be much more concerned if there weren't raised voices after the display on Saturday.
  2. Watching the game v West Brom and seeing Moses (I think it was) being bundled over for a blatant penalty which the referee completely ignores... I couldn't help thinking that, in the light of the Clattenburg incident, we're going to be getting even fewer favours than usual from the referees from now own.
  3. QPR are not on my radar, never have been. I don't think it's possible to care less about a club than I do QPR. The only feeling I have about their current plight is a small amount of sympathy for Mark Hughes due to the fond memories I have of him and Zola up front for us in the 90s.
  4. Like many on here, back in August I was of the opinion that he would come good this season now that the team is more his 'style', and that we should assess him in the winter and make a decision whether to sign a new CF or not. Now there's just over a month left and, if anything, his form has been on a gentle downward trajectory since the start of the season. I believe this is the 'real' Torres we're seeing, I don't think he will improve much beyond where he is now, so we have to decide if this is good enough. I don't think it is. When the team was playing well and winning games with goals from Cahill and Ivan it was easy to overlook, but now the team is playing less well our lack of a cutting edge up front has become more obvious. I'd be very happy to be proven wrong, but I can't see us winning the Premier or Champions leagues the way things are. There's a chance Sturridge could be the answer, he's definitely more of a threat than Torres at the moment, but I think he still has a lot to learn.
  5. The press seemed to think so a couple of months back, I wonder if they still think so now?
  6. Saw Argo at the weekend, it's very good. Hard to believe it's based on a true story. I'm too young to remember when embassy siege when it happened, so lots of tense moments as I didn't have a clue if the hostages lived or died. I 'd never have thought Ben Affleck would make such a good director. He obviously prefers to make films about subjects he cares about, and has such a no-nonsense straight forward approach it's actually kind of refreshing.
  7. Our lads look so uncomfortable in that first picture... We have a West Ham fan in our family, I agree they are morons.
  8. Well it's local and there is a personal and family history with the club.... my speculations are just as valid as some hack at the daily mail!
  9. Has this been reported anywhere reputable? I could see him maybe returning to West Ham or going to the States but not until the summer, and not dragging his family has way around the world to communist China.
  10. Fellaini would be wasted as a pure DM. Anyway, when Josh and Kev finish their loans we're going to be spoilt in the centre, and something tells me that Mikel is one of the first players on RDM's teamsheet every week. Honestly, midfield is the last area we need to strengthen.
  11. That was my main concern after the game, hearing JT scream when it happened and watching the slow-mo replays had left me fearing the worst. Still no updates on JT though. I've no idea what I'm talking about to be honest, but seeing as he was up and about on crutches at the end of the game it gives me hope it's not as bad as it could have been.
  12. I noticed how when he (accidentally) clattered Ramirez in a 50/50 challenge earlier in the game his instant reaction was to check that Ramires was ok. Then when Terry got his injury (again Suarez was involved but can't be blamed) I noticed how he stuck around and seemed just as worried about JT's condition as most of the Chelsea players. As a result, my opinion of him has been upgraded slightly from cheating scumbag to w**ker.
  13. So Mikel was both immense and pathetic today? Ramires stood out for me, winning balls all over the place and driving forward at every opportunity, nothing like the typical Brazilian player but I wouldn't have him any other way.
  14. Disappointed with the performance but the result was fair enough. Liverpool are a better team than their league position makes out, boring to watch but not walkovers either. One opinion that has been festering in my mind for the last few weeks is that RDM needs to be more confident to change things up. The vast majority of his substitutions are like-for-like, it's not unusual for a team to throw on another striker for the last 10-15 minutes when trying to win the game, but I can only recall one game this season when Sturridge and Torres were on the same pitch. I know it's unfashionable to play with more than one striker these days but it has been shown to work once or twice in the past.
  15. So much for your list of certainties, are you an investment banker by any chance?
  16. We shouldn't underestimate Liverpool, with the players they have they should be doing better but their lack of potency in front of goal has hurt them. The way we've been defending lately I can see them getting a goal or two, but I think we should be able to outscore them.
  17. Was just browsing through Moses' tweets - @mrKal1800: What's your greatest moment in football so far? @VictorMoses: it has to be signing for Chelsea He's a very easy player to like.
  18. David Luiz is a defensive liability. Hazard is a forward.
  19. What a game so far! Whatever happens, I hope Shakhtar accompany us through to the next round.
  20. I guess tonight was City's turn to be shafted by the officials.
  21. Good luck with this, hope the people responsible for the trajedy (and the subsequent lies to cover it up) get what's coming to them.
  22. Lol, talking from personal experience?
  23. I'm 99% sure that Xbox 720 games (or whatever it's called) won't play on an Xbox 360, otherwise what's the point of the new console...
  24. Cahill, would have lost if not for him.
  25. Oh no the Daily Mail hate us, my life is over :(
