I understand where your'e coming from (nonotnowjim), I tend not to use personal insults against our players or staff* (or other forum users despite being on the receiving end a few times), but I wouldn't want to try and impose my own standards on other people. *this doesn't apply to the interim manager though, like many others I can't accept him as part of my football club.

The referees' decisions have definitely been balanced against us lately. I'm not sure that there's a bias against us though, more likely it's a result of too many referees being sub-standard, and since the referees and the FA look after their own, there's f**k all anybody can do about it. Criticise a referee? Hope you enjoy sitting in the stands. Look at the referee's performance in the Arsenal-West Brom game yesterday for example, it's not quite as bad as Clattenburg's in the Utd game against us, but if I was a West Brom fan I'd be feeling similarly frustrated right now.

The team selection was good, but I felt that Benitez's contributions during the game (in the form of substitutions mainly) actually had a negative impact overall, much like the game against West Ham come to thing of it... I was so relieved when Torres scored that penalty. I'm not his biggest fan but the slating he would have received had he missed is not something I would wish on anybody.

Well according to the other guy he was a dm until he played for Benfica, then he moved to CB. Do you think they changed his position purely because of his cool head, excellent positioning, and decision making?

I think Terry, Cahill and Ivan are better CBs at the moment. No need to be insulting.

I don't dislike him at all but for me he's our fourth best centre back. I suspect one of the the main reasons he ended up playing as a defender is because of his height, if he was a few inches shorter he might have developed into a very accomplished cm/dm instead, somewhat like a Brazillian version of Fellaini. He even has the haircut.

It's a typical footballers' interview, very safe answers given. I must say I'm quite impressed by his professionalism since he signed. In the summer there was quite a few of us on here who were concerned his ego could cause a problem, sometimes it's nice to be proved wrong.

There's more to leadership than just screaming out orders. Mata seems the type who could lead by example (and what a great example he sets, on and off the pitch) so I would have him as captain. He's intelligent, motivated and well respected by the players, and has established himself as the driving force for much of our best football so will be unlikely to miss many games.

It would be good to see an up-and-coming team like Shaktar win it, but tbh I don't give a toss as long as it's not Arsenal.

Nice to see two of our most maligned players (Torres, Luiz) play so well, let's just wait and see if they can carry that form into the Premier League.
