Yup, would much rather start "decent" get the points & then developing as the season goes on and avoiding a form slump such as 10/11 thru December/Jan. My main example is Mata/Hazard, the combination is class already, it's a brilliant feeling just wondering what it could and will become as the months go on.

From what we've seen and even it was only a few minutes tonight, he's more effective out wide when Juan Mata's playing, they interchange around & regardless if it wasn't long, they looked lively.

I'm not blaming just him, it was a poor pass - but JT's decision to play offside was poor and the rest were caught napping.

As a defensive unit we need to learn to play out from the back, it suits the way we want to play & although Torres is not bad at holding the ball up he isn't Didier and with all the attacking options we have now, we have to pass, pass, pass and this is the only logical thing to do, we saw it a few times last night and if you rewind and watch the play we scored from we played out from the back. (can't remember if 1st or 2nd goal)

Think we started off with a 4-4-1-1 tonight, Oscar playing right behind Torres - obviously we went back to a 4-2-3-1 for majority of it though & think we should've gone back to the 4-4-1-1 when Bertrand came on.

Cech 6 Ivan 6 Luiz 7 Terry 7 Cole 9 - superb. Mikel 4 - decent, but the sloppy pass hurt us. Lampard 5 Ramires 3 - has to play central, not a winger - wasting a starting position out there. Oscar 8 Hazard 7 Torres 6 - not a bad match whilst isolated against juve's big 3.

Giving away the 2 goal league is not great but we were unfortunate tbh, another day we would've held the lead & been awarded a penalty, still puzzled why we sold Meireles after the English deadline was up, after loaning Essen, we've only got 2 players in our squad who are STILL at the club who've played CM/DM this year, Robbie's got to trust someone like Ramires to play there because he had another shocker out wide last night. Disappointed with what I've read about Torres, a fortnight ago everyone was praising, he was decent last night whilst isolated against 3 VERY GOOD CBs, Cech has to learn he isn't Drogba and stop hoofing it long he's not going to win them all especially like Juve's back 3. Need to get a result in Ukraine and I think we'll be right, still think we can beat Juve, and I tip us to do so when we go there in December, like I said another night and we'd be home comfortably. RDM is defending him, so should we we. He was obviously disappointed, and this obviously shows the passion. If the manager & his teammates are defending him, so should we.

Just started a new save after not playing for months. Playing as Southampton (in the PL). Have Ramirez, Clyne, Davis etc. Beat Spurs 5-4, was up 5-0 but had a horrible 2nd half & further proved to me that I need to buy a new CB & GK. With 10m, I have brought in Martin Olsson, was about to bring Siem de Jong in on loan but it fell through saying he preferred Stuttgart, then that fell through & Ajax then didn't want to loan him out, annoying. Have about 5m to spend (without selling anyone) on a GK & CB - looking at Mingolet as ter Stegen is out of the question & maybe Alderweireld. Any further suggestions on who to buy/sell?

Am stunned, I see him as a great squad player, in the year he was with us he matured into a fantastic CM, could finally make a challenge, just stunned. Good luck Raul, best of luck in the future, "european" champion.

I hope not, excellent squad player, has definitely matured as a more defensive type CM, guy never used to be able to make a challenge, adds a lot of balance when he comes into the side, always does his job.
