Will Roman still be interested if we dont make the CL
Somewhat less interested I would've thought.

Ancelotti delivers Chelsea bombshell:
An excellent, balanced summation and I am in full agreement. I feel that he wants out and has wanted out for sometime. He can't say as much of course for obvious reasons.

Chelsea v Everton (FA Cup) 19/02/11 KO 12:30 GMT
Chippy, it could only be considered to be not a bad performance if judged relative to our abjectly poor performances over the last two months. And there was plenty of end product - it just happened to be sh*t bar one that even Frank (in his present state) couldn't miss. I'd be gutted if we'd played our hearts out/been adventurous/showed some semblance of a top four side and, lost. As it is I'm just numb.

mmmmmm Glad I stayed up for that...2.20 am down here. Congrats toffees. Our season imploding...and McEachran still not given any time on the pitch. To look on the bright side (if there is one) it's one less comp. & less game/s we have to play in the run in.

Wonder how many uncontested crosses Baines will get in this half. I reckon about six based on the 1st half - and a toffee is probably going to be on the right end of one of them.

Definite penalty. Otherwise, we're looking slow & cumbersome again. And there should've been an angle grinder on the sideline to deal with Malouda's theatrics.

Nice. To me it's nothing more than what seemingly is becoming our annual CSR grumpy old men routine/reunion ala Jose. As I can never make the get togethers with fresh drinks, I've become rather fond of it even if much of the same comments are churned out year after year.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Yes and would it would also spare all of us from having to endure the usual media Barca gush/love fest. albeit that same would be replicated vis a vis Le Arse I suppose.

Michael Essien
Agreed. Very difficult for any footballer in any code to reach their former standard on both fronts and complete recoveries are very low statistically.

Jose Mourinho
Yes. Perhaps you could dust your old uniform off and give us all a treat. Just for nostalgia's sake.

Chippy I couldn't care less what people think about my opinion. However, I do take umbrage at invention, censorship, dissembling etc.

Well Eggy, I haven't been ignoring you - just a tad busy with some other threads/posts. Before I answer, can you just enlighten me where I said that we should get rid of Carlo now? You understand my difficulty.

Who said anything about waving a "white" flag? Your invention & contemptible at that. And then you commence to lecture me/censor me on my choice of words. Dear me. For what it's worth Chippy, I always read your posts & your a valuable, loyal contributor to this site. I respect that. Sometimes, often, I agree with you but equally sometimes I don't. But thanks for letting me know how you feel. Touched.

Chippy you've just gone from citing the touchy feely tunnel of love to alleging that some of us were supporting it! Really?!? Bit of a reach don't you think? And I don't know how many of the current Real squad or the Inter squad of last year are reading this thread as motivation! Hilarious.

Fulham v Chelsea (PL) 14/2/2011 KO 20:00 GMT
I see. You think if we just all keep waving the flag without question, all our problems on the pitch will disappear & we'll magically walk off with the title again. Some years ago I read in Harper's Index that 25% of Americans believe that their attendance at a sporting contest can effect the outcome. With the greatest respect Chippy, I don't know which scenario is more credible, if credible at all. But hey, whatever gets you through the day...

Chippy that's what he paid to do - it's professional sport.
