What was the point in getting Ba?
Not at all. Sarcasm duly noted. Had to scoff at the commentator saying we need another goal to kill Wigan off. Reading and Southampton, anyone?

Thought i'd bump this, no doubt someone will have an opinion by full time haha.

What was the point in getting Ba?
Is that sarcasm, Zeta? I would hope so.

What was the point in getting Ba?
Yeah but he's still fit to play.

What was the point in getting Ba?
If Torres is going to keep starting?

What?! We must keep bumping it! No doubt it will be buzzing tomorrow for some reason or other.

I think even Rafa knows it looks bad. Anyway think this is going to be harder than we thought.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
I think Torres should/will start today. He has a habit of banging them in against poor lower league sides, he'll probably get a hat trick.

The Battle for the Last Two Champions League Spots
I really can't see City pipping United to the title i'm afraid. We'll sew up 3rd. Arsenal will be 4th. Spurs 5th. Everton 6th. Liverpool 7th.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Did u copy that from a newspaper article? They all sound like direct quotes from something i just read online.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Suarez and Torres DIDN'T play together at Liverpool. Liverpool bought Suarez as a strike partner for Torres, but Torres told them he wanted to leave, and he was with us before Suarez made his LFC debut. Liverpool replaced Torres with Carroll and he turned out to be equally as big a mistake.

What i mean is it seems to me that he's the type that likes to be normal. He probably goes home and cooks his own tea and does his own cleaning etc, or his missus does. He doesn't seem the type to have servants.

I don't believe that for a minute. Not one minute. I doubt he even has a housemaid, he seems too down to earth.

We need to ponder our next managerial appointment very carefully...
I agree with just about everything u said, apart from hating Barcelona. Like them or not, i think any team in world football wants to emulate them, look at their trophy cabinet, and the quality they've got. Messi may not have scored against us, but he has no trouble banging them in against just about everyone else. Four times Ballon D'Or winner says it all. I think that Rafa- whisper it quietly- could actually be a great manager for us. Yes we all have our issues but end of the day don't we all want the same thing? Chelsea on top? Common ground, common gain. Recruiting Pep would be a dream and a coup- but it would also be a gamble. And i think Roman has taken far too many of those.

This is what I hope happens
Can i have some of what u've been smoking, mate?

Chelsea v Swansea (COC SF 1st Leg) 09/01/13 KO 19:45 GMT
No need to boo Torres when he comes off though FFS.

Not the best way to win over the fans, Rafa.
That was in today's Star. So i don't know how true it is.

Not the best way to win over the fans, Rafa.
He's said to the media that Chelsea fans need to stop living in the past, say goodbye to the old players and accept a new era at Stamford Bridge. Fair enough. Change can be good. But to come out and tell us to stop living in the past just because we don't want to lose a player of the quality of Lampard is ridiculous.

Who else is fed up of hearing how Chelsea were lucky in the Champs League?
I think it's mainly cos of the amount of sheer luck we did get. Messi missing the pen, Bayern missing a pen, Drogba equalising right at the end, holding on at Nou Camp despite 10 men and Barca throwing the kitchen sink. Torres scoring a one on one... The list is endless. But i honestly believe our name was on the trophy.

Can we call thus season a success if...
United come annoyingly close though. They at least barely go a season without winning at least one trophy.

I see no problem with giving your opinion on a Chelsea player if you are a Chelsea fan. But stop short at name-calling and horrible remarks, and I think we'll all get along fine.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
I'll never wish him ill. I don't think it's working out for him here and I am really sad about that, but I actually really like him a lot, he comes across as a genuinely nice guy and he isn't a terrible player, he just isn't a brilliant one anymore. I wish him the best if he goes in the summer.

You could argue that a lot of those players above Messi and Ronaldo should not be earning as much as those two, though. Yaya Toure? For real?

Who starts the next match?
I'd put money on Benitez starting Torres again tomorrow. Ba will be on the bench. Take my word for it.
