I think we need to stop salivating over Cavani. Sure, he's scored many goals in Serie A, but didn't Balotelli score about 6/7 goals in the first 3/4 matchs there? To be honest, Lukaku is proven to be able to score many goals in the Prem league with a mediocre side, so with the likes of Mata, Oscar, Hazard around him, I think we'll be dangerous up front. All this money for Cavani, I'm just not sure he's going to be able to do the same in the Prem League. Every player who comes here says it's entirely different, you don't get the time on the ball that you do in other leagues and it's a fast pace. We just have to look at Shevchenko to see this.

Saying that, the Schurrle deal is stalling and yet their president is saying it's a done deal with Chelsea, so perhaps they are waiting for a big offer from someone else as well. It's all speculation anyway.

Playing or resting? I read that Spain are playing in the Confederation's Cup in Brazil. Obviously, Brazil are also involved, but what about our other players? Will some stay back here to keep fitness or will they be resting? It's always nice to follow what the guys are doing before pre-season starts. Does anyone know?

When the talk of Pep Guardiola was going on, I'm pretty sure there was no talk of Mourinho leaving Madrid. And what about Roman buying Jose a car and a watch before all this? I am pretty sure that Roman and Jose had been in contact long before any Guardiola talk.
