Chelsea v The Soaring Eagles Crystal Palace (PL) Wed 27th December 2023 19:30 GMT
Injuries are really f**king us. It's not just one or two players, but continuous injuries to different players and long term too.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2023/24
Shows how poor the league is now. People will rave about PlL, but i think the quality is lacking. Just so much wrong with the players and teams these days.

So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
You think Poch going will automatically mean Sterling makes a simple pass to his teammates? Or 36 big chances aren't missed by the players on the pitch? Have we not been missing chances constantly since Conte was here? The issues are deeper than Poch. It's not just the coach. The structure of the club has changed massively. We now have a team of less experienced players. Problems were here under Roman but many people were blinded to it, yet we finished 20 pts off the title and scraped by top four a couple times in recent seasons. 20pts with added club restructuring now taken into account, it's going to be tough for another 1-2 seasons.

Yeah the injuries have been rough. Also losing Kante has been massive too. I don't think people realise how big Kante not being the heartbeat of our midfield any longer, is. Or Reece James and Chillwell being injured and not performing how they were when Tuchel was here. Even Tuchel would have struggled in this situation.

Reece James
He's had two very good seasons for us during Tuchel's time here. Since then he's been in and out with injuries. Just not reliable and it's such a damn shame as he's phenomenal on his day.

Pochettino has spoke about the inexperience and comparing his time at Southampton. He mentioned there will be inconsistent results. He's not wrong. Of course, there's things he could do differently, but not much. Apart from playing certain personnel in natural positions, what other option does he have? The main attacking player we bought in summer has been injured since pre-season. Poch also doesn't have an established striker or even goal scorer. Sterling is our best goal scorer, which says it all really. We don't even have a 15 goal a season attacking player, let alone a 20+ goal a season striker. I'm not sure I would have got rid of Koulibaly from defence. Unfortunately we also sold Giroud, but that was under Roman, which was a silly idea in hindsight.- So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Madueke is also another injury prone player, so cannot seem to go a consistent run of games. Mental how many injury prone players we have at this club.- Everton vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 10th Dec 23 14:00 GMT
The project is to go down to the championship, come back up again, then challenge again. Lol- Everton vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 10th Dec 23 14:00 GMT
How did Man Utd beat Everton 0-3 at Goodison. Everton couldn't even score a goal. Bloody hell, Man Utd must have a voodoo over some teams even when they are utterly sh*te.- Everton vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 10th Dec 23 14:00 GMT
I wouldn't take much from the Newcastle game. This is the same Newcastle who got dominated by Bournemouth away before international break. Away from home Newcastle have looked poor. Not to say Everton will be very beatable because they won't be. Before the pts deduction it was different, but now they are more galvanised. But again, so should we be.- So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Some are suggesting Hans Flick. A proven winner is all well and good, but what's to say the same thing doesn't happen and then it's the same old cycle. It doesn't help the situation to keep firing coaches.- Moises Caicedo to Chelsea! "Official"
To be fair he didn't place the price tag on himself. We all know he isn't worth that, yet. Neither is Enzo. We overpaid massively for both. People were shouting how "but you need to overpay for that sort of quality." Blah, blah. I would rather our scouts do sufficent scouting and find gems that cost a lot less. Caicedo was worth 5m when Brighton bought him. Enzo was worth maybe double that when Benfica bought him. Doesn't mean that neither of them will become top players, but justifying their price tag will always be very, very hard to do because apart from a consistent 20 goal a season striker, no player is worth that in my opinion. I read that we were interested in Caicedo before he went to Brighton, while he was playing in South America. This is when Lampard was in charge back in what, 2019, i think it was. Lampard actually seemed to have an idea of good players to get. He also targeted Rice, Haaland etc.- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
I think we've been accustomed to Kante and Hazard, we have become spoiled. Finding that kind of quality is very difficult.- So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
Who do people think we would get in to do a better job? At the end of the day there has to be patience with the coach. You can't expect any consistency if there's no consistency with coaches. He's been here less than 5 months and has hardly been handed a ready made team. The circumstances for the past year has been tough.- BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
- Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT
Pretty embarrassing, especially seeing what that Aston Villa side are doing this season. Are we really worse quality than THAT?- Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT
What an abysmal showing. The worse thing about it is Man Utd will likely get smacked by Bayern and then again by Liverpool, while we struggle to pick up 3 pts against Everton.- Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT
Aston Villa are beating City haha. They are going great.- Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT
International break killed absolutely all our momentum it seems.- Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT
Where's the team that performed so well vs City and Arsenal? Dross.- Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT
We are so far off being a top four club again, let alone challenging for the title. But I'm not surprised as I expected us to be off for at least another two seasons. Question is how long that can be viable before it affects us financially.- Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT
Caicedo has been poor- Manchester Utd v Chelsea (PL) Wed 6th December 2023 20:15 GMT
