Why waste money on Walker when we have Azpi, Ivanovic and Wallace for the RB position? We NEED a striker (Cavani) and a defensive signing. THAT IS ALL!!

Meh just meh is my reaction to this. Another mediocre player bought for big money to add to the other mediocre players (Marin, Moses, Ba, Mikel etc etc). We need a world class proven centre forward. If we have limited money we should have put every penny of the £18m spent on Schurrle towards getting Cavani. But everyone insists Emanelo is a 'genius', despite the fact we have a very unbalanced squad that is starting to lack serious quality and is also lacking depth as evidenced by the quality of our bench last season.

I hope Real Madrid get Luis Suarez. That will mean they won't be going after Cavani and it will weaken Liverpool :-)

Yes just yes. Alba is currently better than Cole. Lets not forget Lahm who can play in both full back positions.

After reading that Marcotti article, it's clear the player has his heart set on Bayern and has made that very clear. I want a striker at Chelsea who wants to be at Chelsea above all else. Lewandowski does not. Cavani should be our no..1 priority and we should not get sidetracked by getting involved in power games between Bayern and Dortmund.

It's really not though, when you take blue tinted eyes off! I hate Benitez as much as anyone but he was right when he said the squad was not good enough, not strong enough, lacked quality and depth.

Do you think the midfield creates enough chances for the striker though or more like they all try to score goals themselves? Neither Torres nor Ba have been scoring freely at Chelsea and this is what worries me about Lukaku. Strikers seem to score freely at other clubs and then are completely exposed at Chelsea.

I will just be sooooo fukin gutted if we get Rooney!! But I've got this awful feeling we will :-( There are some really good players available atm and if we pay Man United a load of money for Rooney and they go and spend it on Lewandowski, that strengthens them and we are stuck with most likely another flop. But this time it will make Torres wages look like peanuts. It will show the club has learnt nothing, zero from Shevchenko and Torres.

No not 3, Hazard is not world class yet. I'd say 2 at most and even then people argue the toss about Luiz.

If KDB is coming back, I just do not understand this mad Schurrle pursuit by the club. Of all the players in Europe why pick Schurrle? It's probably another Marin situation in the making!! Reading this morning's papers and they all say that Jose said yesterday there will be no big additions or big money being spent and the club basically wants him to work with what he's got, even if it means not winning a Trophy for the first year or so!! Not gonna lie, this is a big disappointment. It's obvious the squad we have is not good enough atm. We only just made top 4 and were a failure in the Champions League. Bayern are strengthening despite winning the CL, Real and Barca will spend big. At home Man City are investing and the reports this morning say Lewandowski and Fabregas are near to signing for Man United. If true I can't see us winning the EPL even with Jose. It doesn't make sense because Benitez said Roman was going to make 100 million available for the new manager and Benitez had told Emanelo and RA that this squad was not good enough. Not signing some decent players is not giving Mou a chance against the other teams. We desperately need a world class proven striker, EDINSON CAVANI should be our no.1 target, get rid of Ba and Torres if possible. Yet this morning we are linked to Rooney....again :-( Rooney, past his best & hasn't played well for 2 seasons now. Plus he is on mega money, £250k per week at Man United. It would probably work out more expensive to sign Rooney than a better striker like Cavani. Rooney would cost about £25-30m, then £250k per week in wages. Cavani would cost £53m (Which can be amortised for the length of his deal) but would only be around £150k per week in wages. Just doesn't make sense to go fir Rooney when there are better players available: Cavani, Lewandowski, Suarez etc. Rooney to CFC is another Torres situation in the making.

What about from Mario Suarez from Atletico Madrid? He's a good solid dmf.

I'd be delighted to sell Ba to anyone!! Not a Chelsea player IMO. Not good enough and doesn't seem right at the club. Moses, I'd sell him too. I never did get him signing for us. I think RDM was a big fan and Roman just allowed him to make one signing!! He's young but unlikely to be a regular for CFC, so bench warming will stall his development, selling him to Everton would be fine IMO.

Sshhh! Don't let facts get in the way of their pathetic little agenda against Luiz. If a CB should be sold to make way it's Cahill. He's not really Chelsea quality, has proved when playing for England he can be a liability and is not on the same level and never will be as Luiz. Some players (Moses, Cahill, Ba, Mikel, Bertrand) are just squad players, not in any way world class or exceptional.

Seriously? Is this a sick joke or do you genuinely know nothing about football? Luiz is better than the two highlighted and is the best young defender in the world. Chelsea would be mad to sell him for any amount.

No just no. Dzeko is not good enough for Chelsea, he cannot get a game at Man City FFS! Why would it be in our interests to pay Man City a shed load of money for Dzeko, that they will then put towards buying Cavani and thus strengthening massively? It makes zero sense and would actually harm our chances of success.
