JT for me, back to his best.

Terry for me. Fantastic in defense, was responsible for a lot of excellent clearances. Played with a lot of inspiration and desire.

Went for Alex, thought he was also great in defense minus some niggly fouls, plus the goal!

Also Quaresma with those two superb through balls amazing precision how is he not in the squad?

Alex - cannot afford to lose this guy, great finish for his goal, he doesnt get umpteen chances to shoot at goal, so when he does get a chance and finishes it like that he deserves a lot of credit, certainly showed Kalou and Malouda how to finish.

No really outstanding player today. JT prob shades it for his leadership and along with Alex snuffed out what little threat there was

Alex made too many mistakes for me. I went for Drogba. He created the first goal out of essentially nothing and played a nice ball to put Quaresma in space and start the move for the second goal.

I can't argue with those who went for Terry, though. He was rock solid all game long.

Went for JT. He let nothing get passed him this game. I am glad he is playing well again. As i for one thought he was dreadful at some parts of the early season.

Went for Drogba, his return to form has been great, he makes such a difference upfront. he is still must be the oppositions worst nightmare.. long may he continue at Chelsea.

I forgot to mention, against Wigan at the end of the match.. Drogba walked up to the Matthew Harding, as usual.. got the crowd going mental (well who was left, most had left early like usual !!) .. and clearly mouthed I am staying here or I belong here or something along those lines, pointed to the turf and kissed the badge and touched his heart.

he looked back to his best form, and at this stage in the season thats what i want to see from him, alex also had a good game

Went for Drogba, purely because he scored a wonderful goal and caused havoc all afternoon, like he used to do!

Must give JT and Alex a pat on the back, too. Both solid all game, and Alex's finish was superb :)

EDIT: And, when Essien came on, he played very well. Looked comfortable on the ball, and didn't put a foot wrong in his half an hour! :D

Same for me. Nothing against JT, but I guess I didnt notice him as much as everyone, and my inability to vote for anyone who really, to me, stood out, was more a reflection of the fact that everyone was above average to good today. But our centerhalves, Drogba, Ballack and Quaresma were particularly good for me.

Silverware or not, we are definitely back :D

Drogba was the best man on the pitch in the first half, although did little in the second until he was subbed, and for me JT was quality all game, so it goes to our captain, in a photo finish.

Props to Quaresma as well, came on, and barely put a bad ball in, and gave a brilliant assist for the 2nd goal.

And how lovely was it to see Essien back in the team. All credit to Drogba for being so Essien-friendly, and getting him back in the midst of things, even before he came on.

Has to be Terry or Drogba, sorry but no one else come close today, especially not Alex, no matter how well he did for the goal.

I voted for Drogba, especially as that it was his third goal in five matches under Hiddink. He is slowly becoming the player again that we know and once loved. He is going to be cruical in Turin on Tuesday against Juventus.
